  Have you installed original recovery image that you created on the USB key?

  By the way: have you noticed this problem right after the installation, or later after some updates to install.

  Theoretically, you can install Windows 7 but you've already written it might be a little difficult to find any Windows 7 drivers for this good old classic. In addition, I doubt that Windows 7 run faster than Windows XP. More rapid than Vista but XP is still the best OS for old computers.

  In your case, I'd be happy with preinstalled OS to Toshiba. Everything works with these parameters, and so you can have fun with your laptop. :)

  Can someone tell me if the L350D will work with XP x 64? I installed it ok but some drivers are going a bit funny and I don't know why, but not all of them are available for download from the download site.

  Things like the camera software only seem to be available for vista.

  64 bit XP is not supported on all models, so you will have a hard time to make it work.

  Do you really need 64 bit? It will not make much difference unless you do a lot of media creation/encoding.

  Maybe better wait for Win7 64 bit.

  In most cases, computers laptop Toshiba are preinstalled with Windows that is already activated system or activation would be done during the first internet connection.
