Satellite C850-B820: WLan and LAN connection limited

I bought satellite c850-b820 part No. PSKCEV-04P00FAR (without BONE) 3 months ago.
I installed 8 64-bit windows and installed the drivers from the Toshiba site.
It works perfectly.

A week ago from the problems starts since I installed the update of the Bios via Toshiba service station.
First of all the wireless limited connection (unable to connect to the internet).
A day after the ethernet also limited connection (no internet connection)

Tests to diagnose and repair failed even re installing the drivers.
After formatting the computer and re install windows and drivers but without success.

Automatic diagnosis and repair does not solve the problem but the computer restart again and again. I thought that the problem of the OS, it is why I installed windows 7x64bit with its pilots.

It works since yesterday but wireless.
Mention that I tried F12 it means wireless works but actually does not work.

Help, please

Now, you use the Win 7 64 bit. Right?
WiFi does not work but the WLan card is recognized in Device Manager?

Have you tried to install the WLan driver right?

I guess that the WLan card isn t working because the correct driver WLan isn't installed.
I think that the laptop supports the Realtek 802.11b/g/n Wlan / Bluetooth module drop-down list.

  • Satellite L650/1MC - WiFi and LAN connection keep dropping out

In the last two weeks, that my wifi connection dropped regularly - only a reboot solves the problem. Because it became so frequent (and boring) I returned with an ethernet cable, which worked OK for a few days, but tthat hen started making the same thing: no internet connection.

I must emphasize that my other active wifi (android and android phone Tablet) kit continue to connect to internet via wifi etc, even when the connection of the laptop has fallen. This leads me to suspect that the problem is mobile partner no router etc. relates. The laptop is rarely used on battery, so I do not have the power as a problem management.

I have a Satellite L650/1MC running W7 64-bit. I made no changes to my system recently which may give rise to this problem - everything works perfectly until a few weeks before.

I checked for updated firmware updated on my router in the case where it is the question - it's not.

Any suggestions to fix this annoying would be welcome!

    > I checked for updated firmware updated on my router in the case where it is the question - it's not.

Have you tried to reboot the router?
Since the two connections (LAN and WLan) stops falling, I think that the router is the problem.
OK, two other android devices seems to work properly but the fact is that router shares automatically and possibly IP addresses, the IP address cannot be assigned correctly.

However, you can check the WLan and LAN TCP/IP protocol settings.
Uninstall the TCP/IP v6 and use only the v4 TCP/IP for LAN and WLan.

Also ensure that your security programs (firewall & anti-virus software) don't affect the internet connection.

  • NB200-10Z - WLan and Lan connection problems

    Hello

all I bought the NB200 & I'll put up the wireless connection. Everything seemed fine, but now I'm in trouble.
On the network connections page, it shows the network connection wireless as "not connected".

On the Network Setup Wizard, it shows the connection of wireless (atheros AR9285 adapter) & the connection to the LAN (Realtek) but says that they are disconnected.

Any advice on where to go next would be very appreciated. (FYI, the modem is Speedtouch ST585)

    Matt

    Go to this page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/
    Update the WLan driver.

I m not a NB200 owner but one of my friends has a NB300 and there was an option in the BIOS which enabled and disabled the Wlan
Check in BIOS if this option is available in your case too

Keep in mind that you use the right SSID, encryption right, the right encryption password and disable the MAC on your filtering router.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite Pro C850 - strange problem with LAN connection

    Hello world

I just signed up on this forum because I hope you guys can help me with a really strange problem.

    I recently bought a Satellite Pro C850-1MX
It came with Win8, but given that I don't really like Win8, I bought an additional Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) license and installed on the laptop.

The problem I describe, also arrived on 8 to win, which makes it even more strange.

As soon as I connect a cable to the RJ-45 port, Windows tells me, that the LAN connection is not connected.
As soon as I unplug the cable, Windows starts looking for a network and actually found one!

So, the only way to connect to my LAN cable is... I have activate the LAN connection, wait that it detects a network (without the cable connected!) and meanwhile to connect the cable to the network port.
Now... If I disconnect the cable once again, Windows still shows its connected.

I must say, that I am a Director of professional network for more than 10 years now, so I should know my systems, but this never happened to me before. Event log shows nothing, re-installing drivers did nothing either. IM quite confused here and I hope you guys can help me.

Thanks for reading, and let me know if you need any additional info!

    Greetings from the Germany,
    Sandro

    Hello Sandro,

To be honest I confused m.

I would try to start talking about the drivers installed, since you changed the system for Win 7.
All the network devices, such as card WLan and LAN card are properly recognized in Device Manager?

As I m not wrong not the laptop was equipped with a network card Realtek-8111F (1000BASE-T/100Base-TX/10Base-T) and WLan RTL8723AE Realtek b/g/n card.
If both should appear in the device properly Manager if you have installed the drivers correctly.

    2nd question:
    You said:
    > As soon as I unplug the cable, Windows starts looking for a network and actually found one!
Are you sure that you speak of LAN and WLAN?
For me it made no further since. If the network cable is unplugged, the notebook would connect to the WLan where WiFi is enabled.

  • Satellite C850-B820 shuts off when I take off my power cable

    Hello

I bought laptop Satellite C850-B820 2 months there is use to this normal subject, 2-3 hours a day, I was working on it without the power connected, the status of the battery was at 50% so I plugged in to recharge, suddenly power left and returned to 1 seconds, after a while, I took the power cable and suddenly he cut re plugged again and checked the status of the battery is completely charged 100%, someone has idea what wrong with it?

Maybe the disconnection of electricity makes the battery or motherboard?

    > Shows 100% recharged, but the battery has no effect, if I unplug the cord cut.

In my opinion, there are two reasons why the unit stops when you unplug the AC adapter.

    (1) battery failures and State of charge of the battery will not
    (2) electronic power supply motherboard is faulty. These electronic controls of the computer mobile power

I think you should check if the new battery would help to solve your problem.
But you said that the laptop is not very old, around the age of 2 months and so the warranty should still be valid.

In this case, you should not attempt to resolve yourself but should contact the service in your country in order to verify the device. He should be permanently guaranteed covered

  • WLAN and LAN on Satellite U500 connectivity issues

I have a Satellite U500 laptop, the problem is that I have never connected to the internet, even if the modem works well in other devices such as mobile.
I'm trying to connect to the internet automatically and manually. It s always saying limited connectivity or local only.
I ve checked the driver for my wireless and LAN cards and everything works correctly. Then I plugged as the hub of LAN or Ethernet cable, sound correctly connect the laptop to the modem, but I checked the free config or a physician any link is in x.

I followed the steps but it s not solved my problem.
I hope someone can give me an advice.

Somehow it seems to me that you have a problem with your router.
Restart your router, and then try again.
I can understand if there is a problem with the WIFI but LAN should work without any problem.

  • Satellite C850-108 - WLan card driver for Win 7

I have a Toshiba Satellite C850-108 and recently it just completely crashed.
Being stupid I never had chance to create a disc of recovery etc for her.

I have a friend who sent me a disc to reinstall windows 7.
However when I did I lost all drivers and that she had to reinstall completely as Iv been discover which ones I need.

A big problem I had is that when I install the driver for network controller he simply refuses to install saying there is no detected network driver.
I tried to go to devices and exclamation yellow etc but still doesn t find anything.

I download many drivers of Toshiba to try to fix it but still the same problem. I can only connect to the internet via Ethernet.
    It's like I don't have a WiFi card.

I m very confused and frustrated by this, if anyone can help I would appreciate it a lot as this.

PS I installed using 32 bit, but when I check my serial number it says it is 64-bit. This could be a party if the cause?

    Hello

As I m wrong not the Satellite C850-108 does support the Realtek RTL8188CE WLan card.
If you need to install the Realtek WLan driver for chip RTL8188CE.

You should be able to download the driver directly from the Realtek page:
    [Realtek drivers & utilities: http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=21&PFid=48&Level= 5 & Conn = 4 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false]

  • Satellite L450D: Windows 7 and Netgear connection problems

    Hello

Ive recently bought a Toshiba Satellite L450D but I can't connect to a netgear wireless account...
It works fine on another laptop and my toshiba can connect to an account of different eircom without problem...

What is the new Windows 7, which is not compatible with the server or do I have another problem!

    Thank you! :)

    Hello

What you mean with Netgear wireless account exactly? Do you mean the router Netgear WLAN?

Normally, you can connect to each WLAN router. It makes no difference which manufacturing, you have the router but factory settings are different, this means that some routers have DHCP and static IP addresses, for example. I think you should check the TCP/IP configuration and update the WLAN driver.

Check for an update WLAN Portal: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

    Good luck! :)

    Hello:

    Take it easy...

Go into your BIOS, then the menu of device configuration, modify the LAN/WLAN, transition from active to disabled. Save the setting it by hitting the F10 key and again when you go out.

The two are now on at the same time.

  • Speed of the satellite - 12L - C850D slow WLAN and LAN

    Help please

I C850D - 12L running Windows 8.1 and as far as I know, have all drivers up to date according to PC world.

I am not receiving the correct speeds both hard and connectivity wireless. Should get 30 + bottom and 10 upward but getting 10 down and 5 up.

I did the usual stuff of BT and they are on the case - they say that my hub receives correct speeds and suggests that it is my drivers?

Another laptop received very good speed of my hub. HUB is the latest issue of BT

    Happy new year

    > I did used * BT stuff * and they are on the case - they say that my hub receives correct speeds and suggest it's my drivers?

I m really confused. You're talking about BT (I guess you mean Bluetooth), but this Toshiba laptop can't stand NOT BT's
The device is equipped with a Realtek RTL8188CE WLan card 802.11b/g/n and with LAN Fast Ethernet 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX card.

    But he can't stand BT

So could you please provide more details or could you clarify this misunderstanding
