Satellite C850 - Bios password

I have a problem with my laptop. It started with me getting a device No. Bootable error message, restart the system. Despite me restart, he would always say this. I searched for help, which was mostly to go to the page of the Bios by pressing F2. So I did it again and again. To end, I saw he said unregistered Bios, also the hard drive not registered.

So stupidly, I clicked on them and created passwords. So now, whenever I turn it asks me my password and then I get the same error again. I can't press F2 to access the page of the Bios. Anyone who is familiar with this problem who can help is.

Stand by. You try to enter the BIOS settings, but your BIOS password is not saved or what?
If I understand you right, you cannot enter BIOS due to bad password BIOS, right?

  • Satellite R630 Bios password suddenly failing!

I have a Satellite R630 since October 2010 and already I had to reinstall Windows 7 due to fun with the OS and various issues, which some will find to bloat ware as Toshiba have packed and some who are with the OS (what a surprise).
But somethings are to do with the laptop, a space key, which does not always work (esp on the right side) is the least of my problems today.

With no apparent guest today he asked a supervisor bios password.
The password that I set, failed. Its reboot then cancelled by asking me the password for the user. But it has not yet.
I tried all bios passwords I can think, I even plugged in to an external keyboard.
    Nothing, I'm locked out.

Worse still, when I search on the internet I find that it is not such a rare "feature" of the Bios Toshiba. Is this a case that I need to send it in, or you can access the battery on this model?
Everyone had it / found a solution?

    Hey,.

I searched a bit here in the forum and I couldn't t found these similar topics so it doesn t seem to
    be a common problem.

Fact is if you forgot the password you can t remove yourself. This is possible only from an authorized service provider. So in my opinion, you must contact the guys to get rid of the password.
I m guys are going to help you :)

  • Question about the Satellite A200 bios password removal

    Hello.
I own a Satellite A200 - 1 KB which has a password on startup and I would like to delete the password.
I tried to get into the bios setup but I can't turn it off from there and I tried holding the ESC and hold left SHIFT to start but didn't work as well.

If someone could help woul be great...

    Hello

Unfortunately you won´t get here of secret advice on the deletion of bios passwords because the passwords were intended to protect a computer from unauthorized access. Thus, the password for the BIOS of your laptop is more often sunk that leads to the only solution:

Contact an authorized service partner and let the button remove the password. But don't forget that you will be charged since the removal of the password of the BIOS is not covered by the warranty. Each manufacturer made this way, otherwise it would be easy to steal a machine, ask someone from a forum, and then use the stolen computer.

You know what I mean? Here´s a link to find the closest available ASP in your country:

    Hello

Why are you sure have you remove the BIOS password successfully 100%?
Usually you can not remove the BIOS password without knowing the old.
It s very strange what you describe, because after the BIOS password turn off the laptop should work properly without asking the password.

Well, the fact is that only the Toshiba service partner can remove the BIOS password if someone forgot the own password.

Unfortunately, I put t see any other possibility.

  • Satellite P200 BIOS password request

    Hi all

My Satellite P200 worked perfectly under Vista but I need to install XP for some applications to work.
I followed the instructions Toshiba installed upgrading necessary BIOS and now for some reason any my cell phone requests a password to the power upward.

I never put a password, am not aware of everything.

As I said never come before, after the update of the bios.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Matt

I have no idea why the password has been set after BIOS update, but I know that a BIOS password cannot be rid of the Toshiba laptop without additional assistance from EPA.

So, if it's a BIOS password, then you really must ask ASP for the removal of the password

  • Satellite A100: Bios password appears - what should I do?

    Hello world

Last year, I bought my toshiba Satellite A100. I never set a Bios password. Today I was working normal. Then I restarted my laptop and got the password.

Now I can't access my laptop. Is this a common problem? What should I do?

    concerning

No, this isn't a common problem. It s absolutely impossible that a BIOS password is stated zero part.

In general, you will need to send the machine to an ASP for the removal of the password, but before you do, I would ask all members of your family who has access to your computer if it has put a bios password and wanted to make a joke (in this case it s not a really nice joke)

    Welcome them

    Hi guys

    First of all I must say that it s really strange question, but I've seen questions;

What OS you have and what version of BIOS have you tried?

    Driver page provides a BIOS for Toshiba Europe * Vista only * (* 5.20 - WIN *) and other BIOS is * NOT * compatible with Vista OS (* 1, 60 - WIN *)!

It would be interesting to know more details.

    Welcome them

I'm in trouble, I forgot my password for bios, how can I enter in my computer now. This laptop I have over 2 years now, and there is no guarantee. If anyone can help?

    Hi Piet,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to bypass a BIOS password. This is for security reasons, in case the laptop is stolen at any time.

The BIOS can be reset, but this should be done by an authorized Service Agent Toshiba. You can find the one closest to you on the website of Toshiba.

    Sorry,

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this problem - I have a PC laptop toshiba L755 and has been implemented of the security protocols on the bios but could not configure the supervisor password.

I registered the password of the user, as well as the hard drive - user and master password password worked for the password hard drive, but when I try to select (by pressing the arrow towards the bottom of the user password on the password of the bios section) the supervisor password , he jumps right over him.

Please, any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to set the supervisor password using option in Toshiba Assist > secure > supervisor password? It is the small Toshiba utility designed for recording of the supervisor password.

  • Satellite C850: BIOS CBS - what is it and how to update if necessary?

Hello world. I have a C850-BMK. Now, I've updated my BIOS of 1.40 to 6.60, but CBS is 1.60.
What is THIS and what you think update (if it is possible, of course)?

    Hello

First rule of the BIOS; Don t he touch, unless you need it.
BIOS is a piece of sensitive computer and should not be touched if you don t have serious problems.

Second: EC means (on-board controller). This does not mean that the on-board controller firmware would be too updated firmware for the controller BIOS statement and although you will see a new version of the BIOS.

I agree with Akuma, but I don t understand why Notepad starts with a password prompt.

However, an ASP (authorized service provider) can remove the password. You can search on the Toshiba site to find an ASP.

  • Satellite A100 - BIOS password not accepted after computer take part

(Sorry if this question has been asked before, I searched through topics, but too many subjects was found.)

I have an old A100 for 3 years with no guarantee. I want to sell it so I took apart to clean dust. Everything for the motherboard. When everything has been cleaned and I reinstalled everything, I turned it on and the password of the BIOS has not been accepted. I know the password and it's OK to 100% and shift lock is not locked on.

Is it possible that the keyboard flat cable has been installed wrongly, the cable was - a.f.a.i.k - reinstalled right, because there is only one way to insert into the slot on the motherboard. (Sorry for my bad English)

Or BIOS confused and handed over to zero in some Toshiba service password? Is this possible?

The caps lock is locking itself led of lights up and can not turn off with the CAPS LOCK key.

    What is the solution?

    > Is it possible that the keyboard flat cable has been installed wrongly,
Connect the keyboard external usb to check (this is good if you remove the internal keyboard when checking)

    > Or BIOS confused and handed over to zero in some Toshiba service password? Is this possible?
No, it is impossible that this password has been reset. In any case, I've never heard
