Satellite L300 14 c: drivers XP for display & high speed Modem

Hello!

I have loaded Windows XP - SP2 on Satellite L300 14 C model PSLB0E-02T01XGR.

Almost all drivers are in & work fine except the following:

1. impossible to locate the display driver. Display resolution limited to 1024 x 768. Try to load the driver for the Intel 965 Chipset for Vista, but rejected by XP!

2. 'FN' key does not not for BRIGHTNESS control. Display at FULL INTENSITY. Not tried other combinations. But the FN + F5 works to control internal/external switch.

3 driver for HD Audio Bus MODEM device could not be located. Can tell me what kind of MODEM is it & how do I use it?

4. in the installation of XP, I have chanaged the disk HARD to "Compatibility" SATA controller mode Now is it advisable to go back to the 'AHCI '? XP starts after that?

Please, help me at least a 2-point first, I'm desperate! Concerned with life LCD & my sight! ......

Hello

It's good that nearly all drivers are working.

Here´s tips for drivers and the remaining machines:

1. go to www.intel.com and download the graphics from there driver. Search for the 965 chipset, and you will find...

2. What do you have installed? Toshiba tools? I wonder that you have even the function Fn + F5, I mean, do you have installed the Vista drivers?

3. the modem device is Conexant, so you should check google for Conexant modem drivers. If Don t you know what a modem is then see [LINK: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modem]
4 it s NOT recommended because if you set it to AHCI mode your OS windows is unbootable because you installed your operating system in compatibility mode, which means:
the BIOS emulates a port IDE and SATA - HARD disk does not natively work in AHCI mode: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AHCI

That's all...

Welcome them

My machine worked fine on XP but I installed the new copy of Windows 7. I installed most of the drivers and they worked, but when I come to install value added Package (in Toshiba says that VAP includes Power Saver). It seems complete installation very well, but then I can't find anywhere Power Saver. I tried to install Power Saver for Xp, but it seems that it's not good for Windows 7. Also, I installed the driver for Intel GMA X 3100 graphics, but in the views settings it shows that mobile Intel 965 chipset, which is actually my mmotherboard

    Hello

Satellite L300 - 17L is equipped with INTEL graphics 965GM (CRESTLINE) controller! If your GPU driver works fine!

    With regard to the VAP:
First of all, you must update the BIOS to the latest State and then you should try to reinstall the VAP for Win 7.
Don t install Power Saver for Win XP because it won't work!

    Good luck

  • Satellite L300-29V - failed to initialize for the logon process

    Hello

Trying to upgrade my Satellite L300 - 29V Vista Home Premium to the Toshiba provided Win 7 Home premium with the help of the upgrade DVD Toshiba. I tried this many times now with no success. On each attempt, I get the message "* logon process initialization failed - the Interactive logon process initialization has failed. For more details, please see the event log. "*.

At this point, the mouse is active, but none of the keyboard keys control apart from the pointer appears only on the area of the event, enter and esc. Pressure on one of them or by clicking on the OK button or Cancel will be empty of the screen. A minute later, the blue screen of death will be appear and disappear quickly, after that, I have the option load Win 7 or return to Win Vista. Do go back to Vista (which I did several times that I care to remember) is not a problem and the laptop runs without problem later. At any time I am able to view the event log.

I followed the instructions given by the upgrade DVD, IE. removing the drivers and continued on the upgrade to Windows 7. I've updated the mobile site to download drivers/software Toshiba in order to have the machine as much upto date possible - everything to nothing is outside having more drivers to remove using the upgrade DVD.

The only thing I did is to back up my data and recover Vista to factory settings and load on top of Vista in this way.

But before that I'm looking for the Forum of Toshiba for any useful advice - someone else has had this problem or does anyone know a way around this - if so I would appreciate your help.

    See you soon

    Dleifynot

It is really strange. I've updated Qosmio x 300 and Satellite A500 by using Toshiba upgrade kit.
    No problem at all.

Did you follow instruction as described on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9902P60000R01.htm?

    Hello

I can't find the above mentioned driver for win7 64 bit.
Touchpad had worked normally, with a Win7 driver and after a msg of error just stopped working (I can't scroll with the touchpad).

Enyone have model L300 with 64 bit OS or know model that have the same touchpad driver for win7 64 bit on support downloads?

    Help, please...

    Hello

Touchpad driver is not in the laptop model.
You can choose the touchpad drivers released for other series of satellites as well.
I can recommend the Satellite L500. There you can download the Synaptics and Alps touchpad driver. Both are released for Win 7 64 bit.

Please note that scrolling touchpad can be changed/turned on in the control panel-> mouse-> device settings.

I think it must be enabled.

  • Satellite L300 PSLB8E - how to increase the ram clock speed

I have a laptop which is equipped with 2 slots for ram PC2-6400
    1 - Samsung module M4 70T5663QZ3-CF7 [800 MHz] 2GB
    2 - Samsung module M4 70T2864QZ3-CF7 [800 MHz] 1 GB
    GPU: Intel GM45
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5870 Mobile @ 2000 MHz
According to the manufacturer, this kit allows you to work with the 667/800 MHz memory speed, but the problem is that reference programs show the actual frequency of the ram at 399 MHz.

    Question No. 1:
    (a) why not clock the memory works in 800 MHz but only 399 MHz,
    (b) how to change to a 800 MHz

    Question No. 2:
I'm going to buy a processor
    Penryn Core 2 Duo T9600 processor (1066 MHz FSB) (2.80 G) Hz or T9400 (2.53 G)
and install it in the computer
and increase the memory of 2 x 4 GB 800 MHz (8 GB)

I explained that this possibility is provided for by the manufacturer according to the Maintenance Manual for:
    Toshiba computer
    Satellite L300/L305
    Satellite Pro L300
    EQUIUM L300
    SATEGO L300
    (PSLB8x/PSLB9x)
    (PSLBAx / PSLBBx)

If this operation will help to improve system performance

I put t know what programs you use and if it is good or not if this info can be good and perhaps not. I put t know. The fact is that you n t have one any influence on the functionality of memory and I doubt that you can do something and change some values.

Exact specification for laptop laptop does not for me but I think that Satellite L300 must have Intel GM45 chipset and I presume that for your motherboard FSB is 667 MHz. You can improve up to 8 GB and compatible 4 GB RAM module has PA3670U-1M4G part number.

Upgrade CPU on Satellite L300? I put t know man. A friend of mine has this model of laptop and I don t know if it's the right decision to spend money to upgrade this old model of laptop budget.

  • Satellite L300-1BW - installing drivers for XP

I had to reinstall Windows XP on my laptop and, of course, with all that goes back to zero.

I had to install drivers etc, but with me being is not an expert in this area and I really need help finding anything. I need to do to sort the video card, whenIi try to play a game like solitaire, for example, I get a message saying ' hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by your video card driver, which could slow down the performance of the game. " "Make sure that you install the latest video card driver and that hardware acceleration is turned on.

The laptop seems to work much slower than before and my Windows experience index has of graphics and graphical games to a score of 1.0.

I hope this makes sense to someone!

You need to install the graphics driver.

Go to the Toshiba website http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp drivers

Select the model from the list and download + install the driver display Intel.

Go to Device Manager and find all other unknown devices that require and download from this Web site.

  • Satellite L300 - 17L: XP drivers for device controller and modem line

Please, read before you close this thread as repetitive... (there is no answer to this particular question in the nets before)

    Hello.

I recently bought Toshiba L300 - 17L without any operating system and (unfortunately) no unmanned. I installed the Windows XP (with Service Pack 3) and was able to find most of the necessary drivers (of http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp).

Of course, I put the option fixes hard drive compatible windows installed and first mentioned in other threads... but there is always some problem with "modem on high definition audio device" and "line controller.

I was told that the modem drivers are found in the audio driver pack (btw its works ok), but do not know which is my model as with scanners of system (such as the Everest) I can't find the name of the modem.

The same with 'line controller', as I said here are the drivers for the motherboard... but once more - the system scanners failed to tell me the specific name of the motherboard (only general information is it Intel and chipsets names... but they are in many motherboards).

Thanks for any help, especially from people who had the same problems.

    Hello

I know, it's that your laptop supports its audio Realtek HD card.
I downloaded and installed the driver from the page of Realtek Realtek sound card and the sound card is ok.

I have to they that after installing XP on Vista laptops not all drivers are available for Win XP because some devices are only available using Vista.

I put t know what controller line means and to be honest never heard of this controller, but I think as you translated it not right.

Please check this doc from Toshiba:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB83023N0000R01.htm

You will see that some drivers for some devices doesn't exist for Win XP

  • Satellite L500D - cannot find drivers SATA for Windows XP

I have this one: Satellite L500D (PSLT9E) - I is not sure that the last brackets are really important - it's local Russian model.

So I want to install Win XP and there's a rumor that XP do not have SATA driver for it. I want to integrate the drivers of XP installation CD, but I don't have any idea where I should find the drivers. I couldn't find them on this site (or worm rus of the site)...

PS / / please, help me to solve my problem. Thank you!

    Hey Buddy,

The SATA driver belongs to a display driver. Therefore, download the display driver and extract the files. The driver files that you need you can find in the SBDrv\SATA directory

You can use these files to create your own installation with these drivers disc using nLite, but make sure the XP disc contains at least SP2 or SP3 better.

  • Satellite A105-S4064 - need drivers XP for LAN, video, Audio

    Hello

I recently had to do a clean install of my Satellite A105-S4064 and have had problems to get the right drivers for it.

On the Toshiba site, it lists only 4 drivers for XP for my model, even if that's what it came installed with. The video driver list and sound do not yet work for me.

I need drivers for the modem, LAN, video, Audio, please.

Any help would be a great help!

    Thank you

    Hello

On the page of the Toshiba driver we you can find the right driver for XP graphics card.
At the moment the page provides a display driver nVidia GeForce (v83.02, 19/01/2006)

I also found a driver of his right. It s a Realtek audio driver.
If you need a more recent version, then I recommend to visit the site Web of Realtek and download the newest one.

But note; the XP SP2 operating system needs and before install you the audio driver you must first install the Microsoft Hotfixes; KB888111 and KB835221
After the installation of these two patches, you can follow with another audio driver installation.

It also seems that this notebook would support an Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection - 10/100 Base-TX Lan card
So, you can visit the Intel page to get the right Win XP driver for this Lan chip.

    Good bye

How could I go ask Toshiba for the installation CD? My laptop (L300-1BV) came with the pre-installed operating system, so I can ask them for the CD?

If yes you can create yourself Toshiba recovery disc. So start the Toshiba recovery disc creator to create this diskette.

    Hello
I could not find the drivers for the toshiba A135-SP4088, we bought 3 of them to the office and it is almost impossible to use with vista, so we go to XP SP2 and manage to get almost all pilots of the other models, but I can't find 2 utilities that work with this machine, they are:
Toshiba power management (remember the bulb in the taskbar) :D

Hotkey Utility (so I can change the brightness of the screen and go to hibernation (Fn + F4)

I have al the rest works very well, but these two are a real problem, none of the ones I tested worked, some same crash XP and must return to a previous restore point.

also, I did not install ACPI drivers, are they necessary?, what are those that show I'm looking for? given that the model does not exist in the csd.toshiba.com site.

Now, how one of the largest manufacturers of laptops in the world can build a such nice computer without drivers for the most common operating system?, can someone explain me this because I sincerely do not understand.

    Thank you very much!.
