Satellite L300-1AS does not load

Hello

My laptop has stopped to load the other day, it should Flash it then recharges after that I have nothing! I tried pushing it with a little force it should blink. But now, nothing happens. It's very frustrating. The power supply had been pressed. So I opened the laptop and tried to open. Nothing.

So I decided to make a new power supply replacement on Ebay. It fit perfectly, it seemed that it would work. But yet again, nothing happens! I have no battery, no lights light up! Same as before, but now with a new power supply.

Help?

Thank you
Dev

Hey Buddy,

First before you start a lengthy discussion, what laptop you have exactly?

You can start with AC/DC adapter only?

Otherwise I think that it s a hardware malfunction and therefore, you should contact a service provider for help.

  • Satellite L300 laptop will not load Windows

    I have a model of Satellite L300 number PSLB0A - 00L 022 running windows Vista.

The problem is that it does not load Windows. It starts ok and I can access the boot manager and the Setup utility and that's it. It stops just loading.
After studying the problem, I ran a car aptitude test and the result was the error code 0 x 70. After looking at the code I m under the impression that I need to erase the disc. I have no problem with that.

My question is - if I run the windows Recovery Wizard will be it solve my problem? I will have to re install vista at all? All advice is appreciated!

Hello Jane and welcome in the Toshiba forum

After reading your ad, I must say that the best solution and easier for you is to reinstall the operating system via original Toshiba recovery DVD. This DVD contains the operating system, all necessary drivers, specific Toshiba and utility tools. After recovery image installation you will get state out-of-box and clean the preinstalled operating system.

Yes, this should solve your problem. Please note: when you do it all saved data will be deleted.

You have some important data saved on your laptop?
Do not use this disc reinstall Vista and everything should be ok again.

  • Satellite Pro A200 does not load if current enforcement

    Hello

I have a new Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 on Vista. I have a problem with the power adapter and charge socket.
It will start and run very well and when turned off will charge the battery of fine food. But when running, the machine automatically runs battery, no network and does not load.

This means that the battery is sinking and ended up to be recharged so just off the coast.
When the power supply is removed and then reinserted, it will load for maybe 30 seconds, then stops to load again initially and continues to run on battery.
At the same time, the blue light of indication on the front of the machine lights up to indicate that the ESA is connected and detected, and on battery defiler on windows in States ' ac connected, not charging battery "-in other words it works of ac and is detected but the machine isn't use to run power supply or load unless it is turned off...

    Can anyone offer a solution?

    Thank you

That s very strange and I guess that this problem could be linked to the hardware problem.
Either it's a defective battery or there is something wrong with the electronic power supply on the motherboard.
In my opinion, there is only one way to know what's wrong some diagnostic tests are needed.
This test can be performed by a technician of the ASP.
That is why it s advisable to contact an ASP in your country for audits.

This is a new laptop and warranty should cover everything!

  • Satellite A300 PSAG8E does not load

I have a Toshiba Satalite A300 PSAG8E, which does not load.
I was given a few days ago by a person stating that he is not working or light - vague details.

At the reception that he turned on, asked to start windows normally or not, then started absolutely perfect, it powered by the charger, no problem.

I let him on during some time different tasks.
I came to him a few days later to find that he had himself set to off.

I enabled again, how he asked to start windows normally or not. I started normally, and it came on the property.
Since then I could not to power it on the sector.

    Why not load it now?

    Hi mate

    > Since I could not to power it on the sector.
    > Why didn't he care now?

I m a bit but confused. What's wrong now? You are not able to feed the device or battery is not charging?

If you are not able to turn on the unit, then you should try this:
-Disconnect the battery and AC adapter
    -wait a while (2-3 hours)
-connect the two parties to laptop and check again

If your battery does not load:
Try to update the BIOS and set its default value
If that does not help, then the battery should be checked
If the new battery does not solve the problem, then the motherboard must be checked and replaced if necessary.

  • Satellite A300-288 does not load the operating system

    Hello everyone.

Today I turned on my laptop A300 and does not load the operating system. In other words, Toshiba logo appears, the message "Press F2 to enter SETUP", but not in continuity with the boot. Yesterday it worked and did not update the BIOS or something else.

Someone has an idea? I deleted a both SDRAM and vice versa, to check that the problem wasn't RAM, but no. There is no beep. LED touch 'NumLock' and other, power on and off when I have impulses, so the keyboard responding but by pressing F2 or F12 does nothing.

Thank you very much for your help.

Start your laptop with F8 and test if you can start the operating system in safe mode.

    Hello

What happens when you start the webcam app?
    All programs-> Toshiba-> webcam

Did you install other 3rd software part as for example the Skype that could access the webcam?

Extra tip: go to BIOS and set it to default, save changes, and then restart the laptop.
Start Skype for example, check the settings in Skype webcam chose correctly.

It would be really interesting to know if the other software would be able to use the webcam.

By the way: have you installed Toshiba face recognition? This software use and access the webcam as well
Then sometimes it would be possible that this software could block the webcam and webcam tool could not work

  • Satellite L300 - Windows does not recognize the connected device

I have Toshiba Satellite L300 series, PSLB8E. It came with a basic version of vista pre-installed window and it was working fine until I decided to update.

I took it to a computer for an upgrade store to ultimate window.
This version worked very well for a few weeks until I have received a message on the screen that says: 'I have to get a genuine copy of windows.

Because ever since I started having problems with my usb ports, my computer couldn't detect something I connect to it (usb, printer, mouse, etc.) he worked with modem only, sometimes it would open my external hard drive but it does not have its drivers.

I then decided to buy a window 7 home base, but instead of this problem will disappear, that it got worse as my usb ports completely stopped working.

I tried all the stuff I can think, but nothing has worked. the problem I have is that I don't have the original disc in Windows vista

    Someone please help!

I agree: installing drivers for Windows 7 is very important to get all devices work correctly. Windows 7 is much better than Vista OS and I don't see any reasons why your L300 Sat should not work properly with this Win 7 OS.

I recommend you to install the Windows 7 system again by install completely clean.
After that, download all drivers Toshiba Win 7 of the Toshiba UE driver page.

Very important are the drivers as value added package, Chip Set Utility, card reader controller, display driver, LAN driver, WLan, Sound Driver, Storage Manager and driver of the touchpad

  • Satellite L300-144 does not start

    Hello!

My laptop Toshiba Satellite L300-144 arrested beginning after about 2 weeks of no use with the following sympthoms:
    -When DC cable is unplugged, none of its lights are turned on and pressing the button "power on" (and others) does nothing;
-When DC cable is connected, 'DC IN' led is _blinking green_, led battery is _blinking orange_, others are turned off. by pressing the button "power on" (and others) does nothing.

Waited for over an hour with DC cable connected try to charge the battery of the laptop without change.

I have not found the meaning of this signal (DC IN green, battery flashes orange flashing) in my manual.

What is this means problem with the battery of the laptop?

    How can I fix?

    Hello

Flashing led DC-IN is not a good sign.
Of my knowledge led begin to blink when a hardware error has been found.
I'm not sure if this will help but try a short workaround:
-remove the battery, disconnect the adapter
-wait about an hour and then reconnect the two part.
-try to turn on the laptop

    Check if it helps.
But if this work around won t help you, then you would have no choice but to get in touch with ASP in your country.

Sorry, but that's all I can suggest.

  • Re: Satellite L300-1AS will not start

    Hi all

Now my L300 will not start not (windows (Vista).
It shows a blue screen saying that windows has been shut down and to check the installation of new hardware or software.
There is no new hardware or software. He suggested to disable the bios memory options (I don't know how to do this) and suggests to start in safe mode to remove or disable components.

The laptop does NOT start in any mode not to mention safe mode, repair mode that brings back me to the blue screen as described.
I bought a Toshiba Recovery disk (a single disc happened?) that begins its process then two locks of "select a language to move forward" or detects an error and request I have "press any key to continue' what I'm doing, it then displays X:\windows\system32 > with the cursor flashing at the end of > and does nothing more , its been like that for 5 hours now... I'm supposed to type something in or I am looking at a new hard drive?

Suggestions for a greatly appreciated numpty (outside to let computers alone numpty you of course!)

    Thanks

    Colin

    Hello

Yes, the recovery disc's one disc it s DVD ;)

    Return to be issued;
I think that it s material related since the recovery disk should work for sure.
The blinking cursor can be related to a faulty memory or HARD drive.
    Both should be checked.

You could remove a memory module and might try to power the device using a single memory module in a slot.
Of course, the best would be a use of two new modules

The HARD drive can be checked using a tool called Drive Fitness Test (it of free use google to find it)

  • Satellite L300-100 does not start

Had some problems with my Toshiba L300, which would close sharply down. However, I have a problem with battery or adapter. Power adapter has been checked and bought a new battery. Now, the computer does not start. None of the traffic light turns on and I can just hear a sound like a clock click click when the power cord is connected.

Any idea what can be wrong?

On the virtual path that is not easy to offer the exact diagnosis, but for me it looks like a malfunction of the equipment. If there is no light or any reaction when you connect power adapter, it is possible that electronic power supply do a few worries.

Maybe you should contact Toshiba service and allow to check the motherboard.

  • Satellite L300-2CW does not start

    Hello

I hope someone can help as Im at a loss!

Laptop - Satellite L300-2CW (PSLB8E-15W007EN) Windows 7 upgrade from Vista (Tosh upgrade disc)

When I turn on it shows the Tosh screen then just a line of underscores in the upper left side and that's it.
I've tried everything. F12 F2 holding 0 at startup but still nothing.
The hard disk may have crushed the thought but put it in a basket and now have a copy of his hard drive, so nothing wrong there.

    IM completely lost now.

    Help, please.

    Thank you Russ
    .

    Hello

You have tried F2, F12 and 0, but have you tried to press F8 immediately after switching on the device?
Then you should see an advanced startup options.

Here you must choose to repair my computer and Toshiba HDD recovery.
This should launch the installation from the HARD disk partition.

Have you created the recovery disc at the beginning?
I presume that you didn t.

Well, if the procedure with the HARD disk partition will not help, then you will need to order the disk recovery from here:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

    Welcome them

Thank you very much for her
See you all and best regards

    JCP

    Hi James,

The message you describe indicates that your laptop is trying to boot from a connection to the local network. Normally, this is the last set in your BIOS selectable boot devices. The usual order is to have the HARD drive first followed by the CD and then the LAN option (it can also be a floppy drive in there too).

If your defined boot device selection command is similar to the above it would indicate that your laptop has been unable to boot from your hard drive and since he was probably not a CD or DVD in place at the time where he then tried to boot from the local network as the last option available.

If you turn on your laptop and then hold down the F12 key until the phone beeps you should be able to see the boot device selection screen. If the sequence shows the HARD drive of first or second in the list, then I think that your hard drive may have failed and the unit can charge is no longer the operating system of it. In this case, you can try to boot from your recovery CD by loading the CD and then turn your laptop while now the key 'C' until the machine beeps.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite L755D-128 does not load

Hi guys, first thread here. Can't see its been covered yet.

I live in Greece for a summer season and a few months ago I went to put on (it was low on battery power).
I plugged in the charger, but has met with no fees or lights or anything. Tried a different outlet, still nothing. I tried several.

I get a negative reading of 19,28-volt charger, 3.32v with the voltmeter on both terminals battery (laptop upside down) on the right and the first three shorts. If negative is on and in terminal and positive on one of the two most left, he reads a variable less than 1v.
There is no lights on display and even with the charger and battery removed, nothing.

Shouldn't it work on only ac? Im a marine engineer can thus weld not etc, but I'm no computer Wizard.
Does this sound like a problem with one of the processors inside and (probably) of many regulators?

I'd like to get it going again so I can set the music on my phone outside!

Cheers for reading, I hope that we can find a solution.

    Best regards, expectantly, George

Shouldn't it work on only ac?

Yes, the laptop has no battery if the AC adapter is plugged.
So even if the battery would be deleted, the laptop should work correctly using the AC adapter.

I can not tell you what's not here, but the fact is that if the AC adapter is working properly and the laptop does not power upward, then there must be a problem with the internal parts of the laptop as RAM modules, card mother etc...

Faulty motherboard cannot be resolved (or maybe it could be fixed with a wiring diagram, special tools and enough experience)... Cases of dysfunction of the motherboard, you need to replace it, but it will certainly be a costly affair.

  • Satellite L300 Wireless does not work in mode access point

Satellite L300 with built in wifi Realtek device.
Internet is coming from an external USB device, and I want to make wifi internal working as a router/hotspot/access point, just to connect with my cell phone.

I try to create the ad - hoc network in Windows 7 and Linux Fedora.
New network is listed in the OS cmdlets, but no SSID appears on my laptop.

Also tried with hosted network (virtual wifi adapter) and app named Connectify in Win7.
SSID appears, but is unable to connect or link broken after a few minutes without any data transfer.

Now, I came to ask me for this built in hotspot wifi device support mode at all?

If so, is there a setting I'm missing?
Or some utility runs, to check if the device is broken or have a driver problem, or something...?

I put t know who don't L300 you have exactly and can't say what WLAN card is inside but the audit model in Device Manager and try to find the specification exact Googling autour.

To be honest I really don t know if your problem has nothing to do with Toshiba directly.
