Satellite L45 - touchpad too sensitive

I have a laptop of 3 month old satellite L45.
The touch pad is so sensitive I can't get anything done.

I move the cursor over any part of a page every time it opens or blocking it, basically does its own thing.
This has just started its driving me crazy and happens.

Anyone having the same problem and is there a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Michelle

You should simply change the touchpad settings!

On my laptop I can find the settings in the * Panel-> mouse-> device-> settings settings *.

Maybe it of a little different on you L45, but you should definitely look for variants of mouse for the configuration of the touchpad settings.

Best regards and good luck

OK, I have a laptop Satellite L45 and I need help.
The functionality of scrolling on the touchpad worked for awhile and now it will not work.

I've looked throughout the computer and tried everything and nothing seems to work.
I don't really know too much about computers in a first time, and no one I know can help me.

My father had the same problem with his computer, but he says it seems to work himself.
Mine has not yet and it drives me crazy.

If someone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Have you checked if the touchpad scroll function has been enabled and configured correctly?
I recommend that you check these settings before you to reinstall the driver for the touchpad.

Do you know where to find these parameters?
    You can find it in

+ Control Panel-> mouse-> last (device settings) tab-> settings button.

Here, you should check the * virtual scrolling *.

  • Touchpad too sensitive

I have a laptop running Windows 7. It has a touchpad mouse. It is almost completely out of control as it seems to activate any domain, what the speed of lightning almost. This makes it very difficult to choose what I want to activate. I looked for the Windows section where I can make it less responsive, but can't find it. Any help?

First I recommend that you check in the Control Panel (display, large or small icon) and click on the mouse. Yes, the mouse as the Touchpad will exercise in fact of a mouse. Look for the parameters of speed and sensitivity.

Then, if you do not, I would suggest visiting the ASUS support website and download the manual for your laptop. I have provided two links below that will help get you started, but without a specific model number, it was not possible to get you closer.

Service from ASUS for North America
     http://service.ASUS.com/

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Support - drivers and downloads
     http://support.ASUS.com/download/options.aspx?SLanguage=en&type=1

Finally, while you are on the ASUS support site, you will want to check for an update of the touchpad for your laptop, just make sure it's for your version of Windows 7, i.e., 32-bit or 64-bit.

You need not sure what bit-version you have, from the Start menu, right-click on computer , and on the shortcut menu, click Properties. It shows in the window System under system operating system 32-bit or 64-bit.

  • Satellite A660 - touchpad is too sensitiv

I have trouble to get use to the touchpad. Compared to my previous two laptops, this one seems both known and devoid of other hypersensitivity.

He has not contributed to change the sensitivity, palm touch to monitor or virtual scrolling regions.

I wonder if it's just me, or is the case they find others?

    Hello

To be honest I m not the owner of the Satellite A660 but I have two other laptops and I could always change the sensitivity of the touchpad the touchpad settings.
Begging my touchpad is still too sensitive; the cursor happened to fast and double click is too sensitive as well.

I was able to change all of these settings in the touchpad settings and it helped a lot.

  • M6-1035dx Pavilion: Pavilion m6-1035dx touchpad y axis too sensitive after upgrade Windows 10

I installed my m6-1035dx Pavilion at 10 Windows laptop. Everything seems to work pretty well, except the touchpad. The Synaptics 10 Windows driver is much too sensitive along the y-axis (vertical movement), but it is very well along the x-axis (horizontal movement). If I try to move my cursor in a circle, I get an ellipse instead, and this disparity makes it very difficult to use touchpad. Sensitivity adjustment does not help, because it scales sensitivity times X and Y at the same time.

I tried these different drivers with varying results:

    1. latest Synaptics touchpad driver for Windows 10 (version 19.0.19.1): Y axis is too sensitive with respect to X axis. Otherwise, this driver seems to work perfectly.

2 no driver (Windows using the generic PS/2 mouse driver): X / axes are correct, but no other feature of the trackpad works (scrolling, etc..)

3 last Synaptics touchpad driver driver from HP for Pavilion m6-1035dx (version 16.0.5.1) page: X / axes are correct, but scrolling does not work in many applications. This driver does not officially support Windows 10 (I think that it supports up to 7), but it seems to work correctly in Windows 10, aside from the problems with scrolling.

I would point out to Synaptics, but they do not seem to support (as far as I can tell), so I'm posting here in the hope that someone would have an idea of what I can try next. There may be a hidden registry setting that I can change?

    Hello @mrbumpy409,

    Thanks for the reply.

I also looked in the registry, I couldn't find anything that jumped. I speculated with the values of height and width of the corner, but change does not seem to do anything.

I have no information on the release of driver, but you can try the driver compatible windows 8 rather than windows 7 one.

    Version: 16.2.10.12
    sp58572.exe

Thanks, I look forward to your response.

  • Satellite C660 - TouchPad freeze at startup

Hi I'm new and this is my first post so please be gentle!

I have a Satellite C660 with windows 7 purchased as a refurb factory it is my 1st laptop, I have a problem after startup, and everything loaded on my desktop, it seems that if I use my TouchPad too early it freezes, he did it since I bought it, but I thought it was me being not used to a touchpad and the "bloatware" to start is the only way I can get the pointer to move if I have a finger from the top to the bottom of line scrolling to the right of the TouchPad horizontally or diagonally, it moves very slowly until I can be open and close a browser window, the file or even the startup window, then it will then act as usual and do not freeze again for my entire session If I leave it for five minutes at the start, it works fine, sometimes it will freeze also out of standby or hibernation, but not always.

OK, I thought maybe it was the necessary driver update I checked in Device Manager and it said it was working properly but that of course is when the pointer is as it should be, in the Device Manager if I pilot of the touchpad/driver/update and internet search it tells me I have the drivers updated If I choose to search for a driver on my computer/let pick me from a list of device drivers that I have the following:-

    Mouse Compatible PS/2
    Synaptics PS/2 Port Compatible TouchPad
    Synaptics PS/2 Port Compatible TouchPad
    Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad

I should have all those showing? can someone with a file of similar specifications check that for me please?

strange thing is that if I go to TouchPad properties via the taskbar, and then click driver all options except the driver Details are grayed out and done, I can open two windows of TouchPad properties from the device and the task bar manager and have them on the screen at the same time.

Some things I should mention are a mouse in the usb works fine, I stopped a lot of the "bloatware" and would help the useless stuff running at startup, hoping that I have disabled the function of locking of the click on the TouchPad, sound as it needs to be "warmed up" to run correctly when running properly it works fine without problem as the laptop came pre installed and only Disc I have is the recovery one create you the initial Setup!
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hello

First of all, I don t think that this problem is related to the installed touchpad driver but if you wish, you can install the latest touchpad driver available from the European driver Toshiba.

Visit the European driver Toshiba page and choose:
Computer laptop Satellite Satellite C series Satellite C660 driver Touchpad

Now you should get all the touchpad driver available for C660 series.
I found the driver for the touchpad Synaptics for Win7 32 bit and 64 bit.
The latest version seems to be v15.2.11.1

I think you should go to Panel of-> Software
Check here if Synaptics touchpad driver appear in the list of installed software.
    If so, uninstall the present.
Then, download and install the Synaptics v15.2.11.1 driver

The touchpad settings could be changed in Control Panel-> mouse-> tab advanced-> button Advanced.

  • Satellite A350 - Touchpad does not work, but an external mouse works

Satellite A350 Touchpad does not work ok (unstable system and left button not loaded).

I tried to make the driver but nothing. No problem drivers (conf system). I have the driver for the touchpad stroped and with an external mouse everything is working properly.

What should I do? Don't you think it's hard or soft the problem. * The touchpad is NEVER worked.*

Thank you, and sorry for my bad English. :-(

    Hello!

The touchpad does appear in Device Manager or you have here yellow exclamation points?

Like Akuma says you can enable or disable the touchpad with FN + F9 key combination.
    Did you check that?

In the worst cases, you must go to an ASP. It seems to be a hardware malfunction, and this must be checked by a technician of the laptop. Here, you can search the nearest ASP:

  • Satellite L45-S7419 - cannot get device WLAN working for XP

Hello all and ty in advance for anyone who can help.

I have a serious issue that I have not been able to understand and finally just abandoned.

My father has a Satellite L45-S7419 which has wifi 802. 11 b/g, built in at Bestbuy which came with Vista there is quite some time and I finally had the time to put XP on it (which, in itself, was a challenge) and I am unable to get drivers that work with the built-in Wifi.

In Device Manager, it shows the device with a yellow "?" and no driver installed. Unfortunately, Toshiba has no drivers for XP, but fortunately (I thought at the time) realtek had drivers for RTL8187B. Who called on the site - (RTL8187B driver auto Installer Windows (Win2K/WinXP/Vista support), Win2K/WinXP/Vista driver ver.1158 1158 20/11/2009)

I installed the drivers, but the device is not simply either recongize or it some how is not the correct drivers, because the appliance does not work.

Does anyone have an idea what I can do? I tried everything that I can with my knowledge. I tried another way to install and uninstall the device first Manager device, installed the drivers then that the "new Device Manager" jumped upward and the device of RT8187B popped up, but still get the "new hardware found" and the right afterwards "the unit works may not properly" or something similar. As if I had just install the driver itself.

Any help would be appreciated wildly. Ty!

    Hello

Have you checked if the WLAN function is? Therefore, you can use the switch of hardware on the laptop and the combination FN + F9.
    Check this box!

Can you also tell us what version of BIOS is installed on the laptop? In your case, I'd install the latest version of the BIOS. Sometimes, I could here it solves different problems WLAN. It s worth a try! ;)

I think that, in the worst cases, you must use the preinstalled operating system (Vista). There are all the drivers and tools pre-installed so I m asking you to install another OS. Now, you need to install a large number of drivers and you must spend a lot of time for that so I always prefer the preinstalled operating system.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite L45-s7423 quite dead

    I have a toshiba satellite L45-s7423.

I'll start by saying from the outset that I don't really know much about computers.

I tried to plug my headphones on the laptop, but it was dark in the room so I me rummaging around trying to find with the end of the cord.

I found up to shoving the end into the usb slot and the latpot stops immediately. It no longer works.
Not anything clear battery. Quite dead.

    I fried the laptop?
And if I did there is something I can do to fix this?

It is really important that I get my work on this computer, as I am a senior in high school, summerschooled, and all work for my online courses is on this laptop.

Really, I have no idea when it comes to computers, so go easy on me.

    Hello

The data stored on the HARD disk are not the problem. Problem is how to get your laptop to work.
To be honest after reading your statement where you wrote that you are not familiar with computers I n t believe you can do something.

Believe me the best thing you can do is to ask for professional help. Contact the nearest authorized maintainer to check your laptop. They can tell if something is damaged it and how to fix it.

If you need to address or numbers phone ASP in your country, visit Toshiba support under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com page > support & downloads > find an ASP.

  • Need drivers of Windows XP Home for Satellite L45-SP2036

    Hello

I am from Guatemala, and I acquired a Satellite L45-SP2036 here. It comes with Windows Vista, but for a few programs, I need the WXP... the problem is that it is not no matter what driver available for Windows XP Home edition, or on the Web site or the installation CD.

I have tried several sites and options but no solution... Can someone tell me if there is, or will be, any dissemination of these drivers?

    Thank you very much

Greetings to the Guatemala. Good and beautiful country ;)

    Back to your question;
Satellite L45 seems to be designed for an American market. I think you should get XP drivers on the Toshiba site us.
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_sc_home.jsp

If you're not compatible XP drivers on Toshiba pages, I would recommend installing drivers XP common chip manufacture websites.
Check what graphics card, network card, etc the laptop wireless network adapter supports and use the drivers provided by manufacturing sites.

Of course other features like the FN keys for example do not work under XP.
Maybe you have to simply wait until the U.S. Toshiba will publish XP drivers for this series
