Satellite L655 - Touchpad not responding

My Toshiba Satellite L655 touchpad no longer works.

When I open the properties of the mouse > device settings, there is no entries in the devices section.

Pointers?

Hello

Maybe you need to update/reinstall the driver from the touchpad again if the suggestion posted by Akuma didn t help.

Maybe there is something wrong with the software/driver for the touchpad, so it of certainly worth a try

    Hello

I bought a TOSHIBA Satellite L630 two days ago. Today morning, the touchpad does more (no reaction from the cursor to the actions of finger).
Properties: Synaptics TouchPad V7.2 on PS/2 port. Property window indicates that the touchpad is in order.

I tried to reinstall the drivers (return to the previous version, then the new update). Well all my attempts have not.
Any iddea? (maybe a hardware issue?)

Thanks in advance and sorry for my English :)

    Hello

My satellite L655 does not load, BUT it works fine when I charge the battery of my second toshiba laptop
also does not open when I plug just the charger without the battery (led power 3min.from-no at all)

    charger works fine
    battery works very well
    tested on my other toshiba

It works when I plug a charged battery ready.

    Any guys help?

    > It doesn't work when I plug a charged battery ready.

It seems that there is a problem with electronic control gear.
I mean that the laptop does not work even if plugged into the sector.
It is certainly a problem given that all laptops would work without battery connected but connected to the power outlet.

So I think there is a problem with the electronics which is part of the main map.

  • Satellite L655 - does not detect the webcam

    Dear forum,

I am new user of the Satellite L655... I just got about 1 month ago. I don't know why, but I can't use my webcam. Whenever I try to use it for Skype or yahoo messenger, it cannot detect my webcam.

Is something wrong, and what should I do? Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Thank you for your help,

    Best regards
    Yogi...

    Hey Buddy,

What happens if you start the webcam software? It recognizes the webcam?
Important point is that if you want to use the webcam with Skype or other programs, webcam software shouldn't start because the two programs try to access the webcam. So close to first the webcam software.

Last but not least, I would recommend reinstalling the driver from Toshiba Web site:

  • Equium A100-027 touchpad not responding

I have an equium a100-027 and today the touchpad was funny.
For example, I went to move and sometimes it wouldn't be no move, moved very little, or when he moved quickly moved to around to the same place that it was before.

I assumed that maybe it's just that my computer has been used too much memory or something. But then later, it no longer responds. I restarted my computer and the same problem, it does not move.

Before anyone suggests, I in fact checked all the settings for it. I know there is a shortcut (fn + f9) to turn it off.
However, I already checked and it is activated.
I am falling quickly with this computer, six months old and already had two problems with it.

Anyone can suggest a way to solve this problem, or should he be returned to be repaired?

If it must be returned, how should I do this?
I bought of Dixons, and when I came down to them with my last number, they said they have no responsibility and I had to call "the tech guy".

This ended up being A £1.50 tech support number overcharge, which I'm not call again.
This laptop has only 6 months, clearly under warranty. I don't have to pay who knows how much on a phone call just to get it fixed.

Sorry if this sounds like a hangover, just in a bad mood with this computer at the minute.
    Thanks for any help! =-)

    Hello

I see that you're desperate. Sorry to hear this story.
But before you send this laptop to any point of service, you must reinstall the laptop with the Toshiba Recovery CD.

This procedure will put the laptop to factory settings!

If the touchpad does not work after reinstalling new contact ASP in your country.
The service provider authorized in your country will be able to help you and if your warranty is valid, everything must be done for free.

I can't believe that the appeal could cost about £1.5 because it s a common phone number.

If you want to find the ASP please check this:

  • Z30-B-100 satellite - enabled touchpad not working not

I just turned on the laptop and that was trying to set up connections wifi touchpad no longer works.

I tried the Fn + F9 key, but nothing has changed. I turned the laptop off and then on again without any result.

I can work to plug a usb mouse but the touchpad still does not work.

You have a solution or should I take to be repaired?

I bought it a week ago and I just had office and antivirus installed and worked very well so far.

    Thank you

The touchpad works in the BIOS?

If this isn't the case, it may be a hardware problem, or it is simply disabled in the BIOS.

  • NB100 - bottom of 10mm of touchpad not responding is not in Windows XP

    Hi all

I bought the NB100 Ubuntu version and have been very happy with it.
Because I like to tinker, I installed XP on it to see how it would compare.
So far, I prefer the version of XP, but I have a little problem, and I don't know if it is normal that the version of Windows?

I have install the Synaptics driver, and the touchpad works very well except for one thing.
The pad simply does not meet a vertical movement in the bottom of 10mm or more, even if it does not meet the horizontal movement.

It is also very well - it's as if the driver thinks that the touchpad is smaller than is it supposed to be 10mm.
I disabled all of the advanced features of the driver, with the exception of the vertical scrolling support (and I think + I tried just turning out too).

Also has anyone seen this problem?
Is it possible to 'train' the driver to recognize the lower part of the cushion?

    Thank you

    Graeme

Could at least tell me that their NB100 (XP) does the same thing?

It's OK on the default Windows driver, so I use that for the moment, but I have which gives me all the most useful features of the Synaptics software :(

  • HP Envy dv4 Notebook PC Touchpad not responding

    Hello

All of a sudden I lost my touchpad. It is no longer allows her to follow my mouse movements. The power toggle button touchpad seems not too much work. I can't turn or no more. I rebooted my system a couple of times with no result. Also tried to uninstall Synaptics Pointing Device Driver and later installation of the latest version without any positive impact. Will be great if you happen to have any suggestions.

    Hello

It is always interesting to try the following.

Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite M40: Touchpad not working not properly

I just had a problem where my dog jumped on my knee and operated something on the keyboard of my satellite M40.

Now, whenever I try to press the button two times, I get the properties of the icon I'm hovering above. When I try to use the keyboard in Word, I get the menus to open instead of type appearing in the document.

I can erase it with a restart, but I would like to know what happened.

    Fiona

    Hello

It seems that the dog has changed the touchpad options ;)
You should check the device touchpad settings in the mouse properties.
What you can find in the control panel.
Select the mouse and then go to the device settings tab. Then go to the synaptics touchpad settings.
There you should find a few options you should check.

  • Satellite L655 lights not lights only blink

Everything disconnected from the laptop. DVD player, HARD drive, card reader, battery, Wi - Fi. Only the processor and memory (it is tested on another laptop) are connected. I plug in the power supply. The indicator of the power unit connection (the first on the left, white in color) lights.

Press us the button of inclusion, the laptop does not light. Only indicator of connection of the power unit (the first on the left) is turned on, and two indicators - the second left and the second on the right flashes 1 time white color.

He likely error codes. How to understand them?

    Hello

The second on the left is the power indicator.
Normally this indicator turns white when the computer is turned on. However if you turn off the computer in standby mode, this indicator will blink orange: a dry in two off dry.
Once when the system shuts down and while it remains off.

The 3rd from the left, indicator of battery show the State of charge of the battery: White indicates that the battery is fully charged, orange indicates battery recharges and orange blinking indicates the low battery level.

The second on the right seems to be an indicator of (bridge media slot) of SD card and it turns white when the computer accesses the sd card.

To me, it seems that the motherboard is affected and that means you need a help of technicians
