  When I turn on the laptop, all the LEDs come on as usual, including the band of touchpad and media buttons, but the screen is totally blank. I hear the disk hard being accessible and see its LED twinkle according to a normal start, but the screen is totally empty through the full boot and lights never.

  It doesn't seem to be consistent with the problem. It's twice its arrived now in 2 days, and it took me about half an hour on two occasions to finally get the screen to come to life by making many power on / power offs (holding down the power button), removal/reinsert the battery.

  Has anyone encountered this problem before? Any ideas on a solution?
  I guess it's a ribbon cable problem maybe.

  Have you shot inadvertently carpet of mouse/keyboard. This can happen through the Fn key on some laptop models. Find the picture on the key Fn, should give a clue.

  You can borrow or buy a usb KB and mouse that you would at least pass by troubleshooting?

  Monitors Dell will automatically mode energy saving after a predetermined time amount when the computer is idle. The Dell monitor will go completely black, rather than display a screen saver. This allows your monitor to essentially turn off until it takes again.

  A. Press any key on the keyboard or move the mouse. Either will automatically turn off the power saving mode. Alternatively, you can press the power button on your Dell computer tower or laptop.

  B. press one button a second time if the monitor goes power saving in standby mode. Standby mode allows the screen saver appears.

  I suggest you do a repair from WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) system using a Windows 7 installation disc. Follow these steps:

  1. turn on your computer, insert the Windows installation DVD, and then restart your computer.

  2. Press any key when prompted to do so and follow the instructions that appear.

  3. when the Windows Installer page, click repair your computer to access system recovery options.

  4. follow the instructions.

  OK, here it is incase anyone ever have this problem. I changed all the instance names as theCall and theName to variables. For this change in the area titled var: sort of in the lower right corner of the properties. I also changed the shape of the POST method and made my form a clip called sendWork

  It is possible that you have a problem with some Add on Firefox which is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

To do this easily and cleanly, start Firefox in safe mode (remember to select disable all add-ons when you start safe mode). If the problem goes away, you know that it's an add-on.   The screen itself may be defective or the FL inverter has failed. Try to connect an external monitor to your laptop and see if you can get a good view. If the external monitor does not work then it is probably a problem with your graphics chip.
