Satellite L500-1WG WLAN WNAP A-Link connection gives 'blue screen '.

Hello!

OS: Windows 7 / 64-bit.

I try to connect my Satellite L500 to WNAP A-Link 802.11n WLAN AP 3 G ROUTER via WIFI (Realtek RTL8191SE). Connection is established, but after a few seconds, I'm going to 'blue screen' and restart the laptop.

A-Link WIFI connection works very well with my Nokia X 6 phone (S60).

Any help?

Sitiper

Hello

BSOD code, you get exactly?

Have you tried to update the driver WLAN? You can find the latest version on the Toshiba WLAN Portal:

    * Problem: *.
When I start the pc, it connects to my wireless router as usual, but then after that 30-60 minutes it stops working. He always finds the wireless router and the signal is excellent (4-5 bars), but when I try to connect it gives me the error message that it is impossible to connect to my router.

If I restart the PC, it is always impossible to connect.

But if I turn the computer completely off and leave it for a while, it works when I start it again, which suggests that he may need to cool (we noticed that the computer is warm enough, and that the fan is spinning a lot... but that could have been the same before - just that we it has not noticed that it was not a problem)

... But if I only it hibernates and let it cool for a while, it does not work to reconnect when I start again.

I did a test earlier: I started the computer and made sure the wireless connected - then I put into hibernation and he did it again, and after that, he was still unable to connect. Then I stopped had and turned on the right now - and then it works fine.

It's the same question at the local library, but my in-laws it worked fine for 2-3 hours the other day.

My other pc that runs on Ubuntu, works without problems on our wireless.

    Any ideas?
    -Is it a virus?
    - Or my card network is not able to take the heat (material)?
    - Or is this a bug of Windows/driver (software)?

  • Satellite L500-1WG - how to use the modem internal?

I am new to computers and laptops and that you just bought the Toshiba Satellite L500-1WG. I was told, in the shop, he has an internal modem?

What should I do to activiate/get connected to the internet? Do I need an external modem wired or wireless as well? No difficult language or abbreviations please, I am a total novice with very limited on this subject knowledge. Have only to learn how to start and run the basic set up.

    HEY buddy,

    > Told me, in the shop, he has an internal modem?
It seems that this shop doesn't know what they are selling or they wanted kid a small round little

It turns out satellite L500 is not equipped with modem and it doesn t have a modem (RJ12) port.

So if you want to use the modem connection, you must purchase an external. But for now he s not advised to use a modem, the majority of the pages are not designed for modem more.

I think you should check the settings of the Windows Media Player library. In Options > library, you can choose the files that need to be monitored. I think you should monitor the folder where you have added music.

  • Satellite L500-1WG: network card works no - 31 code

    Hello!

    OS: Windows 7 / 64-bit.

I try to connect my Satellite L500 to WNAP A-Link 802.11n WLAN AP ROUTER 3 G via an adapter (Intel 82567) without success.

Under the general tab device manager says "this device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) ». Then I updated driver-> Windows has determined the software driver for your device is up to date. Always the same message coming in general tab.

    Anyone have similar problems?

    Sitiper

    Hi mate

This device doesn't work properly? Is - this WLan or LAN card?
    I m a bit confused but

As far as I know the LAN and Wlan cell phone support for Realtek card.
So, you can download the two drivers from Realtek page directly.

Please set the BIOS to the default settings before you relocate for the two pilots.

I hope this will help you!

  • Satellite L500 - 19 X - HDMI to TV connection

I am a beginner with it, wanting to watch iplayer on a larger screen. I have connected a Satellite L500-19 X theToshiba VGA cable to the TV - fine image, no sound, but I realize that an audio cable is required as well.

I decided to try a connection HDMI cable instead, but I can't get it to work. The FN/F5 keys have four possibilities. I tried all the and had to do a restore of the system at any given time, because the PC kept close when I plugged the HDMI cable with one of the four choices.

The TV (Finally, I tried two Sonys) is set to PC, but it does not recognize the device. Is - this drivers?

    Hello

    > The TV is set to PC, but it does not recognize the device
Well, usually it s according to the TV but normally and on my TV, PC connection means the TV VGA input.

If you use an HDMI cable, you have to select the HDMI port on your TV instead of PC port.

To be honest, I've ever seen something like that
Usually, the FN + F6 and Fn F7 function key should decrease and increase the brightness.
I wonder why it does not work properly.

Maybe it's a question of s an OS so you should recover the unit using the drive HARD recovery option.
Press F8 when the laptop is turned on, and then select Repair my computer and then choose HARD drive recovery.
The operating system would be installed again and you can check the brightness again!

Otherwise, it could be a hardware problem as defective FL inverter...

    Hello

The fact that it works well in Safe Mode, more points to a problem with the video chip.  Unfortunately the video card (called a card or a built-in chip) is physically soldered to the motherboard.

    That's what I would recommend.

As you can access the safemode, make a copy of backup all your important files, etc.  Then try to reinstall the operating system or your discs recovery or Partition of HARD drive - if you still have the same problem, you could be quite certain that it is not software partner.  As I mentioned earlier, if you could possibly connect the laptop to an external display and you still get this problem, you could then be confident that the problem is with the video card - in this case, see the link below.  The page does not mention your particular model, but it can be useful in communicating with the guys.

  • Satellite L500-12F - WLAN speed drops down

    Hello

I have the troubel with my wireless network. I have the strength of the complete signal, but after a while, the speed drops to 78 of the MBP to 5.5 MBP and it remains there (but), and Yes before you sugest, I tried updating my drivers, even uninstall and install drivers, but to no apparent effect.

    That's what I tried:

-Check to be able to save the settings
    -Uninstall/install drivers
    -Check the wireless settings
-The router settings. (my laptop is the newest and the only one to lose speed in the House.) Other laptops maintains a constant speed, it is also the only computer with vista installed)

(PS: wireless cards / wireless snow effect can?)

Thanks for the help in advance! :)

    Hi mate,

I think that it s is not easy to say why this happens, but in the properties of your WIRELESS card with (Device Manager), you can choose wireless mode. Set the value to IEEE 802.11 g wireless network card always uses the fastest speed.

Also check WLAN channel. You can change it in the properties of the router, another value allows perhaps at a faster speed.

Options for energy-saving wireless network card must be disabled or let's say together for maximum performance. The wireless network card never recorded engine so that it uses the fastest connection.

In addition, it would be interesting to know which driver you have installed. From the Toshiba site or another page?
Last but not least, you should try a BIOS update.

    Hello

I think that this problem occurs due to the settings in the Windows 7 power management.
There is an option that allows to power without danger when the laptop is running on battery.

  • Satellite C660 2QH WLAN problem--loss of connection all the ~ 30 min

    Hello world

I just bought a SAT C660 nine Toshiba and I faced a strange problem - I lose the internet connection every 30 minutes for about 3-5 minutes, then it connects all of a sudden again.

I've been reading about the problem here and I fixed my power settings (although this also occurs when the laptop is plugged in), and I installed the new WLAN driver: 1005.19.0420.2011 (my Wireless LAN Adapter is: 8188CE). I thought that he that could have the problem in my anti-virus program, so I uninstalled. A few restarts later everything was as before - problem persists.

    Help, please!

PS. I'm from Germany, where this is relevant.

    Hello

Are you sure this isn't question of Wlan router?
It would be interesting to know if you have the same problems with other devices connected to the Wlan.

Next to the idea that this could be a router issue I think you should check some WLan Card settings.
In the Wlan card-> properties-> tab Device Manager to disable the option to turn off the device to save power.

You said that you have installed/updated test driver the driver from Realtek page too.
