    any suggestions?

    Hello

On this virtual path, it is not possible to provide an accurate diagnosis. All you can do is to unplug the power plug, remove the battery and leave it for a while. Then press the power button and hold it for 15 or 20 seconds.
After doing this connect the power running and try to start again.

What happens when you do this?

My satellite M30X 127 does not illuminate. When I push the power button, it is DIRECTED in turn. But nothing comes on the screen. There is no sound and the fan does not start. I took it to a repair center and they told me the motherboard is fried and it will cost me 400 pounds to fix.
The guy there offered my 100 pounds for to buy me.
Please a little help. What should I do?

    Hello

Otherwise you will search in ebay for the second hand with the good motherboard unit.
Sometimes people sell books with the failure to display or other parts of damage, but the motherboard is ok.
You can try to use second hand motherboard in your laptop.

  • Satellite Pro M40X does not ILLUMINATE

    Hi. -.

I have a M40X Pro Satellite that I bought 4 years ago. It works well until a few weeks ago.

I tried to turn it on but nothing happen, nothing, no lights, no sound at all, completely dead.

It is connected to the power supply and the power light is on, (the battery light does not work since there is a lot of time). I tried to remove the battery, unplug the power cable and after several hours or even days, try to turn it on and I got the same behavior.

Only power if it is (the power light when you connect the AC power) but when I press the button "turn on" the laptop, nothing happens.

My laptop isn't under warranty, so if someone could help find a solution that would be great!

    Thank you

    Hello

I have read your problem related to the failure of hardware. It seems that the motherboard is dead, no doubt, the southbridge. In any case, you should contact the service center:

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/

Note that the motherboard is one of the most expensive parts of the tower and don't know if it's worthy to replace, it is better to buy a used or a new laptop.

    Hello

Turn the laptop over and unscrew the cover on the ram. Then remove the ram and try to turn it on again. If it lights, put the piston inside the laptop and try again. It does not turn on? Then your ram is dead. If yes then you can replace, or have your asp replace it. If this does not resolve the problem, there is a small plastic cover that runs along the keyboard just above the keyboard. Take this off and then unscrew the fixing screws to the bottom of the keyboard. Under the keyboard, you may have a second RAM slot. If Yes, try to remove the RAM stick and turn. It work? If this isn't the case, you probably have a problem with the motherboard. If it lights fine, then you have found the issue and can replace or continue using it without the extra RAM. Hope this helps and have a nice day.

  • Satellite Pro L300 does not illuminate

Hi all, I'm new to this forum.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 and I've had it for about 2 years.
But yesterday I closed the laptop as usual. But later I went back to it and tried to turn it on. But it does not work. Instead, when I press the power button the LED next to the battery symbol flashes orange/orange 6 times and then turns off.

Can someone tell me what it is? I tried to let it load, but that has not worked. The amber light is the only light that flashes. It does not recognize that I plugged in the charger and I don't think that the battery was flat. So I'm angry and helpless right now.

    Can someone help me please?

    See you soon.

    Hello

    There are several indicators;
DC, while running, the main battery, LED HDD/ODD.
So I guess the power LED flashes in orange. Right?
This means that something was wrong on the motherboard.
    Maybe power supply electronic malfunctions

In this case, there is no much to do only mobo replacement could help to...

  • Satellite Pro L20 does not illuminate

Hope you can help. We have a 5 years satellite pro L20 who never gave a lot of days. It runs from Win XP, had an upgrade (crucial) memory to 2 GB and a new battery 4 years ago 4 years ago. 2 days ago, he simply left with the same noise you get when force a shutdown by holding the power button down. I tried to boot with no battery, just the sector and only on a charged battery. All to nothing does not.

I then read the button of power with the battery and removed sector I did after leaving it overnight. When I replaced the battery it started as usual and lasted 30 seconds before turning off again, and then he was dead. I have tried all combinations with the ram up to 1 stick or kidnapped and attempted to get the bios with the HDD outside as well. Still nothing.

I noticed that when I put the battery in 2 of the 3 flashes briefly, and now the button of pwer while pushing the battery causes a brief start 4 seconds.

Any ideas as to what this may be? I suspect that the hardware and software. Also, I tried a different power adapter, once again no results. It stays just off.

    Thanks for any help...

    Hello

I'm afraid it looks like a serious m hardware problem
My first idea was a malfunction of the RAM in such a case, you could replace and test the memory, but it seems that you have already tried

In my view there s something wrong with a motherboard or a part on the motherboard :(
In this case I n t think a replacement of the motherboard would be useful since this part is very expensive

    Hello

It seems that Windows XP Home edition does not work perfectly on the new laptops designed Vista. Before you live your laptop try to change profile settings (extended battery) power and test the parameters of this profile.
Tomorrow I'll try to install Windows XP Home on my A200 and I'm really interesting if I even notice.

  • Satellite A100-749 does not illuminate

    Hello

Since a few days, I have a problem with the power of the laptop.
Immediately after the connection of the AC adapter or the battery, it will not power upward.
The flashes of button and power indicator, any indicator on the keyboard flashes one time but the laptop does not work (hard drive and fans also).

I noticed that I have to wait a few minutes with is plugged or (I'm not sure) inserted battery.
Then, the portable lights and works normally on battery and adapter separately and jointly.
This means that the battery and AC adapter are not damaged.

I also noticed that, until the problem was the power LED flashes a few seconds after plugging in the power adapter. Similarly, the light blinks a few seconds after firing on the AC adapter.
I guess there is a capacitor that needs to be loaded.

When I can not turn on the laptop, this indicator will start / stop flashing immediately after plugging in / pulling on the power adapter.

    Where could be a problem?
Could this be a problem with the CMOS battery that needs to be replaced?
Could this be a problem with a capacitor inside the laptop in the power circuit?
    Something else?

    Thanks to advice
    Best regards

    Hi mate

Usually the DC-IN (first on left) indicator lights up blue when the power adapter is connected and if the power supply is not assured. IF the adapter voltage is abnormal or if power failures then this indicator flashes orange.

((Deuxième à gauche), the power led lights up blue when the computer is turned on. If the laptop is in stand by mode indicator flashes orange, while the computer shuts down.

I think you mean the first LED and in this case, it seems that there is something wrong with the power supply electric or electronic.

  • Satellite P300-Q01 does not illuminate

    Hi all

I was surfing the net a few hours ago, when my laptop just turned off.
Since then, I tried taking the battery on the thing and used only the plug; but it does not work.

I also tried out both the battery and mains Plug and tried pressing the button market for 30 seconds, then put the battery back, but that didn't work either.

For the moment, when I plug in the plug thing there is no lights turn on by saying that I plugged it.
I still have 3 weeks of warranty left.
Are there tricks to turn this thing on, or will I have to refer to the warranty? (Note, the nearest town is 990 Km from here where I live)

    Thank you

    Hello

You can try to remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter
Then, wait about 1 hour and then reconnect the two parts.
Then try to turn on the machine.

If this will not help then you should get in touch with ASP in your country because this could be a serious hardware problem that could be repaired only by ASP.

    Good luck buddy!

  • Satellite P205-s6287 does not illuminate

I have the laptop for a little over a year (warranty expired). No problems until now, but now will not start.

It has the power, but that's all. Can not run the HDD, noting shows up on top of the monitor. The fan works and heats up, the screen is black, hard drive light begins to shine for only a second after the Start button / stop is pressed then turn on ever. DVD player will turn a DVD but does not have a bootable DVD. Remove RAM produces no beeps.

Connect an external monitor does not video.
Did someone there some problem? What could be?

Try this: remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter, wait 30 to 40 minutes and plugging the AC/DC adapter and turn on the laptop without the battery first.

    Tell me what happened.

  • Satellite L650-1MC does not illuminate

    Hello guys, once again

Unfortunately, after my success with my laptop, the other day, after about half an hour, he started to be really slow again, and then later in the evening, it was pretty close to unusable.

Now, it's just that. The Toshiba "splash" screens, followed by a slider that flashes at the top left of the screen, then it just goes back to a black screen and eventually restarts. I've had it for 10 months, TOSHIBA PC Health Monitor showed the status of the drives hard as "good" when he was working, but now, it is absolutely useless.

My next step will be to try to install Windows 7 from a CD and do a clean install, if this does not work, then a friend suggested reset the CMOS, and several other associated material things.

Any of you have more tips I could try?
Do you do a clean install to leave a disc would solve the problem?
I would be really grateful for any suggestions/advice you may have.

    Thank you

    > The Toshiba "splash" screens, followed by a slider that flashes at the top left of the screen, then it just goes back to a black screen and eventually restarts.

In most cases, the blinking cursor appears because the laptop can not find a bootable device or drunks is a pity.

To see if you can install Windows 7 once again if the Win 7 installer would not see the HARD drive, this means that your HARD drive is affected and needs to be replaced.

In my opinion the CMOS battery is not the reason for this problem so try installing Win 7
