Satellite L50T-A01R - bass with earphones no

Hi guys,.

got this new laptop for Christmas (a little over a month ago) and found suddenly that my speakers and the headset when it is plugged into the headphone jack does not lower sound.

I tested my headphones and speakers (ALTEC Lansing) with other laptop computers and peripheral audio and they work perfectly well, it seems that my laptop and my little brothers (also the same model) do not emit any sound of bass...

Please please help me out, would be able to use my speakers with my new laptop!
Thank you :D

Hello

On Toshiba laptops, you might find additional software that would improve the sound quality. I mean its SDR utility.

Check the also the parameters in the IDT audio software, which is located in the Panel.

After the new reboot, you should clean the system using tools such as for example: CCLeaner

Also look for a "Minidump" folder in the disk Local (c) / Windows and remove this "Minidump" folder located in "(c) / Windows.

  • Windows 8.1 update on the Satellite L50T-A-11 t

    Hello

I got my Toshiba Satellite L50T-A-11 t with Windows 8, the first few days, I got it so I installed Windows 8.1 of the 'market', but my computer sometimes does strange thing as "reboot of the desktop", all icons disappear, the taskbar disappears after 1 sec everything back but the movement of the icons. It is very annoying.

So I searched for drivers on the web page and I see that win8.1 and win8.1 upgrade to 8.1 and upgrade there is a list of the order to install the drivers.

So my question is if I want to reinstall to fix the problem what I do back to win 8 and update as said?
And 8.1 of Windows upgrade is called an upgrade to 8.1 or drivers for improving win8?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

All about Win8.1 update, you can read on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/

In my opinion, you need to reinstall the original image of Win8 and then do Win8.1 update again according to instructions on page of Toshiba that I post above.

  • Satellite L50T - Has - Touchpad not detected

I have a Toshiba Satellite L50T-A running 64-bit Windows 8. All of a sudden my touchpad has disappeared from the settings. When I do a search for new material, it is not detected or the other. What a trendy?

I wish I had pictures with exactly what I need to do.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

If I understand you right touchpad is not detected and do not appear in Device Manager, right?

Problem is that you can not do much and touchpad to work force.
What you can try is to test the feature with the factory settings. With other words, you can set the BIOS to default settings and reinstall the original recovery image. After that this laptop will have the same parameters as for the first day after the first start.

If you do this, and the result is the same, that it is possible that the touchpad is defective or there is a problem with the touchpad to the motherboard connection. This should be controlled by the service of Toshiba.

You use an external mouse at this time?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 - 21 H with Vista and dual you want to boot with ubuntu linux. At present, there are three partitions, recovery vista 1.5 GB, 150 GB C and 150 GB E (with recovery of HARD drive inside). My ubuntu, I would like to partitions / and / Home (about 150 GB). Should I delete the partition E? I have my recovery DVD's...

What is the best approach, I think that linux is only 4 partitions.

    > Should I delete the partition E?
If you created the recovery DVDs, you can remove HDDRecovery and use the second partition for Linux. When you want to install once again just use recovery media created Vista.

If you change the structure of the partition, no doubt, you will not be able to use saved image in this folder.

  • Satellite M70-239 - problems with brightness adjustment

    Hello

I ve got this laptop from my father after I buyed a new. Actually everything´s with him very well. But one thing is a little strange, I think.
My old laptop and other portable that I had before, has the ability to control things like the brightness of the screen when you connect to load automatically. So not for this one. Nothing happens.

Windows doesn´t also shows the remaining battery life expectancy and other things like that. These functions are not supported by this guy? I ve installed the latest bios version 1.70, which is available on the official website and I m using Windows XP.

Someone at - it the same problem and is there a solution for this? Maybe you can help me.

    welcome them

    Hello

Satellite M70 was delivered with Windows XP edition family, and Windows XP Home typical configuration. I imagine that you have installed all Toshiba tools and utilities, so it must there also have preinstalled Toshiba Power saver.

He yiou can see profiles of different powers and each of them can be configured separately. Thus, when the laptop is connected to power notebook AC power will be the mode full power. There you can set LCD brightness to the maximum level.
When the laptop is on battery will then serve others power plan. Compare the settings in two power modes and choose your preferred settings.

Brightness level can also be changed with the key FN + F6/F7 combination.
Of course, this will works if all Toshiba tools and utilities are preinstalled.

  • New Satellite L50T-A196 is overheating eapecially when you play

    Hello

My Satellite L50T-A-196 stop only after overheating, especially when you play (for example, civilization 5 or Football manager 2014). This occurs during the use of the normal laptop.

I'm not blocking the fans; in fact, I always lift the laptop in order to ensure that they are not blocked.

What I ve realized that I also installed NVIDIA and Intel graphics cards, and I can't make the NVIDIA one by default. I don't know if this is related to the issue or not m.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    > What I ve realized that I also installed NVIDIA and Intel graphics cards, and I can't make the NVIDIA the default

    It's very easy.
Right click on the desktop and select Nvidia Control Panel
In Nvidia Control Panel on the left choose 3D-> set PhysX configuration settings

Now in the main window, select a PhysX processor you can choose between Nvidia Gforce, Intel GPU (part of the CPU) or Auto Select.
In case you want to use only nVidia GPU, choose Nvidia Gforce
In case you want to use only Intel GPU, choose CPU
    Apply the settings

Then click on manage 3D settings and here in the main window, you will see two tabs: global settings and the settings of the program.
In the global settings tab, you can choose the favorite graphics processor.
In the program settings tab, you can choose the GPU for a single application. For example, you can choose the GPU to be used while playing a special match.

Hope this helps to choose the right GPU and to avoid overheating.

  • Performance on a Satellite Pro A120-185 with Windows Vista problems

Can someone help me with this.
My laptop is a new Satellite Pro A120-185 with Windows Vista.

I had my last configuration less portable, but you know what? He was faster!

I'm supposed to have cetrino duo 2, 2 GHz and cach of 4 MB, FSB 667 MHz, RAM 1 GB, even though they are at 533 MHz, 100 GB 5400 RPM HARD drive / MIN.

It is slow, not only starting, programs opening, plays something, the browser and even to copy from the CD to the hard drive sometimes give me time 4 days left!

Clicking on something takes forever. What's wrong?
Need less to say that with vista no and I mean none, of my devices are busy. Dongle Bluetooth, USB disk, printer, NAS, and and...

    Hey dude,

Please don t forget that Vista has been installed on your laptop and the additional tools of Toshiba and the utilities that control many additional features!
There is a huge difference between Vista and early Microsoft operating systems.

The Vista eat computer resources and many devices old don t work or cannot be installed because the 3rd device manufacturers don t provide Vista drivers!

In my opinion an upgrade to 2 GB ram would increases the performance of laptop.
All programs and utilities could be loaded more quickly

  • Re: Satellite U400-11 q with Vista has new HARD drive but no recovery disk

    Hello

Before starting a very important message: I do not usually work with pc... :-) At my work we have an IT Department for our PC :-))

However, now I have to work privately with a PC / laptop and I need help: I'm sitting in front of a Toshiba Satellite U400-11 q with a HARD drive completely newly formatted and unfortunately WITHOUT recovery CD or DVD!

So far I managed to format the new HARD drive and put a Windows Vista Home Basic (OEM software) from my old pc on this notebook. However, nothing works again (I want to get into the Internet, etc.).

So, I now have to put on all the involved drivers as well as drivers TOSHIBA original, right?

How can I do this? What drivers to I need? Do I have to download all the drivers concerned (total 113) one by one on the Web from Toshiba site?

ANY help is appreciated as I see myself spend all night in front of the PC...

    Thank you

  • Satellite L50T-A196 - how to access the BIOS

    Hello

I just bought a new laptop Toshiba Satellite L50T-A196 and it worked very well and the great until recently.

I tried to reformat my computer because it got crashed.
I was able to reformat my computer very well in previous years.
So far, I've reformatted my laptop more than 5 times, but that it was like 1 year ago and now I really don't know how I got into the BIOS menu.

I tried pressing F1 to F12, holding them and also repeatedly pressing it.
Also tried pressing F2 and F12 or ESC + F12 F2 before even looking at computer and then turn it also I tried pressing 0 too and also ESC and the ~ button.

    Nothing seems to work.
So my question is how to enter the bios?
I used to be able to get, but now I don't know what happened

    Help, please!

    Hello

    _Firstly! _
You need to perform a full stop down.
    Here's a HowTo:
    [Perform a complete shutdown in Windows 8 | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm]

The fact is that Win 8 keeps the laptop but the unit carries out hybrid stop start up more quickly. Unit should be stopped in order to access the BIOS.

After the unit is OFF, turn on again and press F2.
Now you should be able to access the BIOS

  • Satellite L550 - black screen with mobile cursor on startup

    Hello world

Tried to reset the default values on initial F2 menu configuration
Tried to boot in safe mode and the safe mode with networking
    I tried Repair computer option
    Tried the restore advanced user
Tried to load the recovery disk
Tried to boot the laptop directly from the disc
Tried to remove the battery, but made no difference

When I get the white screen with the cursor, I tried a few things mentioned.
Ctrl + alt + delete to get the Task Manager, but nothing.
Pushin' Win + R to open the Run dialog box, but it does not work.
Click on SHIFT 5 times quickly to get ticky key opened to get to the Control Panel, but it did not work for me.

Last night did not turn on my laptop turned off but when opened I received a message that my system has recovered from a serious error, you click on close and then it turned off my laptop had this problem since.

Next step i think I can reinstall the memory but don't really want to start taking it to bits.

I also have a large amount of data I really want out of the hard drive. any suggestions?

Any help or suggestions much appreciated

    Hello

To be honest, for me it looks like a Windows problem. Maybe something messed with the registry and Windows can start t more

I think that you must restore windows recovery disk Toshiba you wrote that you have tried to load the restore disc but what happened after that? Can start the installation of recovery? If so, you should do this.

Backup, you can do if you buy an external HARD drive enclosure. Remove the HARD drive and install in the case of HARD drive. Now you can connect to another computer.

  • Satellite L850 - Intermittent crashing with BSOD

My Satellite L850-1LK crashes with the following error message intermittently: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (athw8x.sys). An online search in some other forums suggested that I should update the driver for my Atheros wireless network adapter. I did - including uninstall it completely before reinstalling with the driver downloaded from Toshiba's own site.

I always get the BSOD, so any other suggestions would be appreciated. (I'm under 64-bit Windows 8)

    Hello

What version of driver and what version of BIOS that you use?

I had the same problem but not with the Toshiba laptop.
I discovered that the installed McAfee utility causes the BSOD.
I suggest that you remove and replace with another software antivirus like Avast! or Avira antivir.
Both are free and can be downloaded for free.

But of course I updated the Atheros Wlan driver too!
You must remove the driver and uninstall the driver properly package.
This can be done in Device Manager!
Then clean the operating system using CCleaner!
Reactivate the wireless lan, then install the latest driver.
Previous updates must have replaced only part of the package of driver causing the problem.
