Satellite L750D - cannot enter the BIOS settings

Hello

I have some problems with the BIOS on my L750D.
When I press power button / stop it is no Toshiba logo and I couldn't get to the BIOS Setup because it starts Windows, even when I press DEL or F2 or any other key.

Any help?

You may have turned on option quick start?

(* 1) * my knowledge the CMOS battery is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be replaced like for example on desktop PC
(* 2) * remove the CMOS battery would NOT reset the BIOS nor would be to remove the passwords.

If I understand your problem, you are not able to access the BIOS, but you can start the laptop and the system. Is this correct?

You have a kind of password (user / supervisor password?)

It's really good that you posted this question. So far on this forum many people ask the same questions, but all have been at the origin of new machines of Win8.
Now we have the situation with the old machine Win7 but with Win8 preinstalled.

Solution for other people needed to proceed to a complete stop and after doing this, it was possible to enter the BIOS settings. Check it please http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm

This situation does not for me so here's a question for you:
When you start your laptop, I guess you can see the Toshiba start screen. With F2 option is shown on the bottom of the screen?

I could type or hold F2, F12, ESC, DEL, but nothing is coming. I also tried to press the Fn + F2 key combination.

After that restart your laptop, and then press F12. There you should be able to enter the BIOS settings.

Can anyone help, I inadvertently changed the BIOS settings, and now I can't get the CD player to boot the pc back to the default settings, Windows xp seems to work ok as is the cd player.
If someone has the original settings, I would be grateful for any help.

    Derek has soon

    Hello Derek

Use the F2 key to enter the BIOS settings and change the order of boot devices. This option is under the STARTUP tab. Otherwise, you can insert the recovery CD when the unit is turned OFF. Turn it on and immediately press the C button. keep it down for a few seconds and unit is forced from the CD/DVD drive.

  • Tecra M5 cannot enter the BIOS to change the setting too boot from cd first

Tecra M5 cannot enter the BIOS to change the setting too boot from cd first

I bought on ebay and the seller sold me a dubious version of xp so I want to format and install my own at the start he said:

The Intel Boot Agent GE v1.2.31 initialization
KE - E05: the LAN adapter's configuration is corrupted or has not been initialized. Boot agent cannot continue

    Hello

The message looks like you tried to boot and install Windows LAN

If you want to change the boot order, I recommend pressing the F12 key, immediately after that the laptop was turned on!

A new start menu should appear, then you can choose the reader of CD/DVD (ODD) and a boot device.

Also by pressing the C button should allow you to boot from the CD inserted, bootable.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite R830: How do the BIOS settings password protected?

    Hi all

I installed a software protection against theft in my Satellite R830, but he suggested that I adjust the settings in the BIOS so that it will start only from the hard drive, and to make sure that no one else can modify it (if it is stolen), the BIOS settings are protected by Word.

Can someone tell me how to access the BIOS at startup settings upward?

    Hello

You can set the BIOS settings by setting the BIOS password.
If someone would like to change the BIOS settings, the password of the BIOS would be necessary.

  • Can not enter the BIOS settings

Hello. I can't enter the Bios on z580 with 8.1 windows settings. I tried everything, including now shift with bios stop and accsesing under windows, nothing seems to work and windows strarts just straight up normally. Also, I can't update to solve this problem. I hope someone can help.

    Thanks for confirming.

In your post original, you said 'change of outfit with the judgment', so I wanted to be sure that you try SHIFT-restart.

Have you tried to stop completely and pressing the button "novo" (a recovery key). On my Win8.1 Yoga 2 Pro, that brings up a menu containing several elements, which is the BIOS Setup.

    Kind regards.

  • Computer will not conduct the office and cannot enter the Bios.

Original title: cannot get into the BIOS

When I turn on the computer, the logon screen is shown with details of the computer.  The computer won't proceed beyond this point.  So I can't enter the BIOS when I press the DELETE key and there is no way the computer goes to the office.    What can I do?

    Hi Ivor,

    1. you receive messages or error codes when you try to start in normal mode?

    2. did you of recent changes on the system?

Usually, you must press a key (for example, F2, F12, DEL, ESC) or a key combination whenever you turn on your computer but before Windows starts. The choice of the function key varies depending on the brand of your computer.

For more information, you can consult the following article:

From my point of view of the defective material, any party may cause the described problem.
Even only one defective memory card could prevent the laptop to boot the system.
Of course, also the dysfunction of the BIOS EPROM module would prevent execution of the power on self test and ultimately, it would mean that laptop may not illuminate correctly.

I think that there is no general solution... parts must be checked; one by one.
In the worst case, there is a motherboard problem and I think that in this case it s not worth to fix the unit because of the high cost of motherboard.
