Satellite M100: AC adapter LED flashing rapidly blue

Hi all

I went to turn on my Satellite M100 this morning and it will not activate. When the power adapter is connected, the button ac adapter on the front of the laptop flashes quickly in blue, which I've never seen before. When I take off the cord the laptop power adapter stops flashing, but even once will not illuminate.

An idea of what's going on?

Try to remove a battery for a while and test it with adapter only.

And some one take the battery CMOS, in frist place I guess is not a problem, only the Don t of the bios, save the changes I did, plase can one help everything, everything...

Find the testicles or, thank you!

I can tell you with certainty what s wrong with your laptop, but I guess that its a serious problem of motherboard.
Perhaps the electronic power supply on the motherboard is affected.

Fact is that this isn't the battery problem. Why? Because the laptop should work without the battery, but comes to connect to the network.

You said that the adapter is OK. Well, it means that the battery and AC adapter isn't the troublemaker you said that memory was also tested.
So this isn't memory problem and, therefore, I think, it could be the related problem of motherboard.

Any help would be appreciated, I have everything turned off and it still flashed!
My old laptop did not do that.

The LED is really bright so it is very sensitive, and it flashes even in hibernation mode.

    Hello

First of all, I would recommend consulted the user manual in order to know what LED is.
I guess you mean HDD LED and this led continues to blink if data could be read or written to the HARD disk

    It's not unusual companion

  • Satellite A500 fresh orange led flashes in pink

Initially using the laptop on the sector every now and then driving charge orange pink flash (power switch in 1-second intervals) and the white POWER LED also goes off at the same time.

The laptop would indicate its execution is no longer turned off AC, removing the AC plug and plug back on the side of the laptop solved this problem temporarily (seeing Orange lights and PC would again deducted). It is more and more frequiently so far, it will not work on the current at all and requires the AC cable unplugged/plugged back in a few seconds.

He also used to load without problem while the unit has been turned off, this has now stopped working as well and gets the same blinking AC light constantly until now the laptop even will not fuel because there is no charge to the battery and no power supply available.

So far... I replaced with a new... out the battery charger and you press the power button for two miniutes of discharge current differential residual and replaced the battery again (as suggested on other forums and discussions)... all with no success.

I must say that I am * very * angry... .one months out of warranty and the laptop is now practically unusable. Is it a common thing with Toshibas? and what would be my next course of action? Do I need to take it to a repair center costly repairs and if if anyone has any suggestions as to where I should consider in the area of Liverpool in Sydney.

Sure it will be the last product of Toshiba any I will NEVER buy if it comes to the quality of their products.

    Hey there,

The power led blinks 8 times when I press the switch however.

    TIA.

    Hello

If electronic power supply detects that some portable problem send a blink code. This code allows you to identify the problem. I can't tell you much these codes, but what I know for sure, is that you need professional help.

It must be a hardware problem, and in this case only the Toshiba ASP could help you. Hardware problems can be solved by a common user!

    Hello

I have Satellite M100, we had problems with the blue screen of death sometimes and then it seemed fairly constant and the only way to ensure that the system is not plant was to start it in safe mode.

    Hello Simon

If BSOD is displayed after the installation of recovery, it may be a serious physical issue.
Try installing the OS using the recovery discs. If the problem persists I think it's time to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider.

  • Satellite Pro M10 cannot start properly - AC LED flashing orange

    Hello

    I have a weird problem that I can't solve.

    (1) when my Satellite Pro M10 the plugged AC adapter and the battery, the AC led is green and battery led is orange.
    (2) when I try to turn it on, several times it not light and the dissepear of leds for 1 or 2 seconds and my AC led flashes orange. Sometimes it lights up as it should be.
    _________
When this problem occurs, it will take a lot of time before it turns normally. I searched the internet for a solution, but I couldn't find one.

I already removed the battery and try to turn it on, but it does not solve the problem. Or when I remove the AC adapter and try to start it on the battery itself.

I also removed the two of them and you press the button power on for 60 seconds. After that, it will sometimes start with mains or battery adapter.

My bios is updated to the latest version. (I've done this when he started only five minutes ago, but the problem is not resolved). I also believe that when the m10 is enabled and when I close it, it crashes also.

Do anyone know how to solve the poblem? Thanks in advance.

    Hello

These problems are very rare and shouldn't t happen if hardware or software is ok.
Power LED blinking orange means there could be a hardware malfunction.
It is a code flashing microphone and a technician can be read.
This code must be translated into the hexadecimal digit.

But for ordinary users it s not able to know what it means. In my opinion a power electronic malfunctions and must be verified by an ASP.

  • Satellite A200-AH1 - power light flashes blue

    Hello

OK, I got an old laptop is a Toshiba A200-AH1 it is work very well then just... stop the IT Tech wannabe in my hometown, said that it was the external power adapter so we bought a brand new one now all what it flashes... If of course I'm talking about the blue light next to the image of a power cable that left of all the pictograme little CD , battery, HD ect ect ect

Blink rate is more or less stable at flashing of the fight 2 per second

    Please help me

    Hello

To my knowledge, the power LED flashes only if an error has been detected on the motherboard.

I think you should contact the service provider authorized Toshiba to know what is the problem exactly with your laptop.

I think that the technician of the ASP has more experience with Toshiba laptops as a common wannabe IT technician.

    Good luck

  • Satellite L500 is OFF and the Green LED flashes if hooked on sector

    Help!

I have a L500 which is not outside the green light flashes when the power cable is plugged in, but does nothing else

    Hello

What indicator do you mean exactly?

DC (first on left) indicator lights up green when the properly feeding the power adapter. If the output voltage is abnormal or if breakdowns computers power indicator lights.

The other indicator (power led second from left) lights green when the computer is turned on. If you turn off the computer to sleep, this LED starts blinking Orange.

Also if there is a failure of memory Power LED repeatedly flashes
0.5 sec and off 0.5 sec
If there is a problem with the slot A the LED flashes two times orange then green once
If there is an error in the B slot, the LED flashes orange green once then twice
If there is error in the slot A and B the LED flashes two times in orange and green.

But if the power light flashes green only, I guess there is a motherboard problem.

  • Satellite Pro 6100: LED flashes at a certain frequency

Mentioned this problem in another article

Power adapter gives green LED and charge the battery. So far so good, but...
After pressing the button ON / OFF, nothing happens. Do not use is not the main adapter but the battery gives no change.
Only the DC IN - LED flashes at a certain frequency:
    short-long-short-Short-Short-Short-short-long,
    Morse code:.-... -.
    in BIN: 01000001

    Nothing happens... Sytem stays down

I bought a new battery but no change.

    What can be wrong?

    Manusje

The blink code is displayed if there is something wrong with the hardware.
    Code: 0100 0001 should read it back 1000 0010 = 82 h

The Toshiba service partner should know what is the meaning by mistake 82 h
You should ask him for help.

  • Satellite A10: Battery-LED flashes with AC

Not too long ago I bought a new battery for my laptop. About a year and a half he worked well. But one day I just couldn't start Notepad without AC. I thought, just dead battery. If I set up the adapter sector, but the next time, the laptop didn't start either. With AC, no problem.
So I charged the battery, and when Windows says, full battery, and the Green LED, I unplugged the AC. But then the computer laptop completely stopped, as if there is no battery.

Now, it's this way: it is not serious what know Windows. The laptop does not start without AC. After a disconnect from the AC, the battery led flashes orange fastly. When windows is running, it only slowly blinks orange.

Where is the problem? Anyone know a solution?

    Hello

In my opinion, there are two possibilities.
Either the battery is dead and needs to be replaced or to power portable electronic malfunctions.

The first possibility is not serious because the battery change should help solve this problem, but if the power of electronic books is not working properly, the entire motherboard must be replaced.

I think that it s advisable to contact the ASP in your country, because the guy has found the fault very quickly and could provide the best solution.

    Good luck buddy

  • Satellite M100 does not illuminate unless the AC adapter is pluged

I am also having the same problem with my Satellite M100. The computer does not illuminate unless the AC adapter is pluged and plugged into the power outlet.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem? The battery should be fine.

    B.

    Hello

Well, to me it sounds like a battery problem
Why you say that the battery must be good?
Have you checked it or because the technician?

In most cases if the battery is faulty then the laptop would have no power until it would be connected to the power adapter.

So I think (but that's just my personal opinion) the battery must be enabled (by technician, ASP) and if necessary should be replaced.
