Satellite Pro L10: New LCD sceen necessary

Hello

My screen went on the blink and I want to replace it, I looked at this link) (http://www.screentekinc.com/Toshiba_Satellite_Pro_L10--15-inch--1024x768-xga-laptop-lcd-screen.shtml)

I want to replace the LCD screen with the new type High Glossy and would like some advice as to whether it is compatible with my system.

I saw that glazed screens for sale elsewhere, all indicating that they are consistent, compatible, Yes, but I should update my system, any advice would be most appreciated.

Hello James

I'm really skeptical that someone can offer you here is specific information on compatible screens especially on any screen compatible Glossary for your laptop model. The page you found is very good. On the Internet you can find a lot of them. Be 100% sure that you buy the right one.

I am not a technician, but I see no reason for the improvement of the system because of the new LCD. If the dealer offer a compatible display I see no reason why you should not believe them.

  • Satellite Pro P - new LCD Inverter

I've had my laptop for about 3 years now and last week, half lower of the screen flickered for a few seconds. I never thought much of it, but in recent days, the problem has become more noticeable. I did some research autour and this isn't a rare problem, across all the notebook manufacturers.

I've been advised to connect an external monitor to see if it sparkles in sync with the laptop, if it isn't then it's probably a LCD Inverter fault.

No one knows how many of them would cost here in the United Kingdom, or if they are all compatible?

    Best regards

    Gavin

    Hey,.

The exact price depends on your model of laptop and screen. Different laptops have different hardware, so there is no common converter for all screens.

An exact answer, you can get a provider of service authorized in your country. Guys have access to all Toshiba databases so they can tell you the part number and how much it would cost.

  • Satellite Pro L10 will not start the system

    Hello!

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L10, which won't work for some reason any.

The last time that I used it, it worked perfectly fine, but now all I get is a black filtered message on "windows starts do not successfully»

It indicates that the computer is not responding and asked me to choose one of the five options - safe mode, safe mode with network, security mode command, last known configuration, prompt or start windows normally.

There is also a 30 second countdown if I do nothing the portable samekh automatically.
It is, none of these things work.

Everything that happens with any option is to a thought very much time on things, then it goes to a black screen with a time/processing bar downstairs, then when that ends it turns itself off, samekh, mw windows page shows (with f2 and f4/f10? options) and the process is repeated.

He did about 50 times now and still nothing.
I tried the command ctrl/alt/del, I tried to turn if off and try again, I even opened the f options but I don't know enough about computers to do more.

    Help, please!

If possible I would like to get the computer on long enough to verify what documents I have on this subject before I can back up (if necessary) and restore it to the factory settings (as I predicted), or if this is not possible, I do not think that there is a lot to lose in this respect in any case, am prepared to take it all back to factory if necessary. I have all necessary installation CD and manuals to go with.

hope this makes sense and I gave you all you need to know.

    Thanks, B

It seems that the laptop is not able to boot the system, but I m not quite sure if it s because of the defective system or HARD drive corruption.
If it s just a system problem, the installation of the new Windows operating system should help you to get it resolved.

In case the HARD disk is defective, you need to replace the HARD drive and reinstall the system.

  • Satellite Pro L10 Memory Upgrade

    Hello

    I have a Satellite Pro L10 Celeron M Processor 360 1.4 GHz / XP HE / 256 MB / 40 GB / 15TFT / DVD-CDRW / OneNote. I wanted to upgrade the RAM, and I noticed that in the manual it says:

Before installing a new module memory 512 MB do not forget to remove already installed memory modules.

Does that mean that I can not install a 512 MB module and more the 256 MB is already a total of 768 MB?

    Thanks for any advice,

    Luis

    Hi Luis,.

The specifications of your laptop indicates that it can accept up to 1 024 MB of RAM. If you have 2 RAM slots, so you can use any combination of modules of RAM as long as you do not exceed the maximum quotes. Of course if you have only 1 RAM slt then you must remove the original 256 MB module before insert you new 512 MB a.

  • IRQ conflict on satellite pro L10

I had problems using a capture card to PCMCIA data with a new satellite pro L10. I used the same card on other laptops with no problems. I think the problem is to do with the conflict on the IRQ channel, because both the card and the controller cardbus use the same channel. I tried to change the IRQ channel manually with the Device Manager, but it does not accept the change. Someone has suggestions how to change the IRQ channel or anything else that might help?

    Hello

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with this, but please check this article http://kadaitcha.cx/irq_conflicts.html maybe you will find the solution to your problem.

    Hello Chris

The laptops are designed to operate without brakes. Prerequisite for this is that the unit must be positioned correctly and nothing should be placed on the movement of air way. The unit is cooled properly on this path.

The cooling fan is active only if necessary and it is controlled by sensors on the motherboard. Unfortunately there is no separate specification on the cooling fans.

Well, you have the difference between SATA and IDE hard drives.
This laptop was certainly equipped 2.5 HDD that support the IDE interface.

I know that some L10 notebooks were shipped with 40 GB and 60 GB HARD drive.

  • Satellite Pro L10 battery did not reach full charge

On my Satellite Pro L10 battery only reaches 85% charge if leave all night. Is this likely to be a problem with the supply power, circuits inside the computer or charge the battery?

I need to know the best place to start to spend money!

Some experience that may or may not apply to:
-Battery system is around 2.5 years
-The battery lasts about 1 to 1.5 hrs that seems fair considering his age and his level of violence (left connected permanently and not recycled periodically)
-Very recently would not pass, with or without the power adapter connected. Solved by removing AC, then the battery, running on AC, then turn off and reinsert the battery. Everything now works on battery or AC.
-Over problem, system has been itself decommissioned at random. Since the resolution of the problem of market it was not randomly turned off itself, YET!

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    Chris

HM, sounds to me like a hardware problem. But the problem is to understand where exactly the error, if you have the following options:

    * Contact a service partner chartered for a hardwarecheckup and an accurate diagnosis of your machine ([http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ASP_SUPPORT])
    * You can buy a new battery (since it could be the battery, I guess)
    * You can sell this machine on ebay and buy a new one :)

Hope I could give you some new and fresh ideas. There is almost no other options or solutions, the it s so your choice.

    Greetings

  • Satellite Pro L10: How to arrange a pick up service under warranty

Look, I don't know where to put this, but I'm at the end of my home with it.

I know what the problem with my laptop (a Satellite Pro L10) because I've had this is the fourth time it happened.
I just need to organise a pick up/repair warranty.

I went through all of the fields on the this site Web site and filled in all categories and all cela and whenever I click on the button 'Submit' final at the bottom of the page where you will see your address and details of the problem, it refreshes just the page (LESS my details).

He submits? It is a failure to present a reason any?
I spent half an hour - that there is NO category that I failed to fill.
What the hell with this thing?

I have only one month left on my laptop warranty. I just want to fix one last time before I get a new one. I experienced this three times before - I know that the forest both inside and outside and I just want to get it + more + with.

  • Satellite Pro L10 - question of replacement screen

    Anno2

    Hello

To my knowledge the Satellite Pro L10 uses a 15.0 "1024 x 768 TFT color screen.
That is why each display 15 must be compatible with your laptop!

If you are looking for a second hand display, I recommend checking out some online auction sales
You might also find laptops second hand which also provide an internal display of 15.

It would be an easier way to find a.
The display is also one of expansive parts for laptop and in my eyes it s not worth it to buy a new game.

    But it's your choice...
