Satellite Pro - screen won't go full size

Hi all

I'm full idle, recently my laptop flatend using an OEM version of windows XP, I'm able to see things the size of my laptop screen.

I tried to change the resolution of my screen, but that did not help...

Maybe it's my graphics card driver (or so I thought) but then I can't find it on the toshiba site (mostly because I don't know what model my laptop is... Just that it's a satellite PRO.

Please, please, please can someone help?

Hello

Yes, it could be a missing graphic driver but I don't know m.

The drivers for your laptop, you can download the Toshiba site:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

And on the side of your laptop must be a sticker where you can see the exact description of your laptop.

Welcome them

  • Macromedia projector says he does not work for Big Fish Games and games won't go full size

Original title: Macromedia projector says it does not work!  Help!

I need the macromedia projector to see Big Fish Games strategy guides. It is said that it does not work! Also my games won't go to full size but stay in the smallest size. I don't know when in the last 2 weeks, what happened. I was in the hosptial and came home, computer to update and I've had problems since.  Downloaded DirectX as recommended in the reading of other problems, but it did not help. Would appreciate ANY help. This grandmother is not super computer but have got along very well for years even with new programs. Thank you!

    Hello

    1. is the specific question of Bigfish games? Other games play fine?

Macromedia Projector is a utility that includes a Visual Flash presentation in a stand-alone EXE file, so you can view the images on a PC without the Flash Player installed.

    Method 1:

You can try to run the game in Windows XP compatibility mode and check if this solves the problem.

To install the program in Windows XP compatibility mode, see the link below:

Make older programs in this version of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

    Method 2:

Make sure the application you are trying to run is trustworthy and that you have downloaded or installed from a source valid.

    a. click the Start button, right click on "computer", and then select properties from the list.

    b. click on 'system protection', click on the "Advanced" tab and click the settings button in the performance section, then click the Data Execution Prevention tab.

    c. There should be two selections, and "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select" must be selected. Click on the Add button and navigate to the folder that your game/app for (usually located in the folder program files). Click on the .exe file in the folder that launches the application.

    d. run the game and check if it works well.

You can also post your query inin BigFish forums for assistance.

    http://forums.bigfishgames.com/forums/list.page

You can also change the resolution of the games are run in and check if you get the full screen. This is usually found in the video options.  However, these options are not all games.

  • Satellite Pro P200 won't start

I have an old 1 week per Satellite Pro P200, it turns off when I was just in the start menu, so I was not doing something out of the norm (power cable is plugged). Since then it just won't turn.

With the connected power cable I have an electric blue, power battery and light (although attempts to restart about 2 the battery light was red, but now blue). The drive light flashes for about 3 seconds each time I try to start and I can hear something happening inside the machine, but after only 3 seconds... nothing, completely dead.

I tried to remove the battery, wait 20 minutes or more and none of it worked. Anyone have any ideas?

Seems to be definitely a hardware problem... very bad :(
Why you visit your dealer for new laptop and ask for Exchange.
Maybe the dealer will exchange the laptop with a new.

If this isn't the case, then you must contact the service provider authorized in your country for assistance.
If you have purchased an extra service on the spot then the technician you will visit at home and will try to solve this problem.

    Good luck

  • Satellite Pro A60: How to change the size of the AGP aperture?

    Hi people!

I recently bought a laptop Satellite Pro A60 series.

I also had an upgrade to 512 MB RAM module for it.

Since then a few games that I try to launch slow area. (it wasn't before) I have increased the Frame Buffer, but wish to increase the AGP Aperture Size as well, but there is no option for this in the BIOS?

Is there a fix that solves it?

    Hello

Well, you said that the games run a bit slowly after upgrade memory.
In this case, I guess that the graphics card is not really the problem.
As far as I know if memory modules are not similar system could runs unstable.
In addition, after the upgrade, you should try to install this new programs (games).

    Best regards

  • Satellite Pro 4600 - what is the maximum size of HARD drive?

My age Satellite Pro 4600 has a 20 GB HARD drive. These are now very difficult to obtain, does anyone know if superior capacy HDDs can be used and, if so, what is the maximum size of the HARD drive.

(Despite his age that I always use the Satellite Pro for some jobs).

    Hello John

Satellite Pro 4600 is old enough for laptop and it is not easy to find the exact info. The fact is that this laptop comes with 10 and 20 GB hard drives.
My opinion is that you can use 30 or even 40 GB HDD. I think that 30 GB new HARD drive should be enough for your some jobs.

    What do you think?

  • Satellite Pro 4200: Which is a maximum size of HARD drive?

Hello, please help. I have a satellite Pro 4200 with a dead hard drive. I can't get a 10 GB hd anywhere. I can only find 30 and more. Does anyone know the size max HD which can be installed in this system? send me an email: [email protected].
    Thank you.

    Hello Jose

Unfortunately there is no public document on this subject. I'm sure that 20 GB HDD will work correctly. If you want to try to call service partner and ask them. They must have this information.

By the way: as far as I know Toshiba doesn't support the hardware upgrade. This is supported by authorized service partners or independent equipment parts supplier.

  • Realtek 8191se in Satellite Pro L640 won't see 5 GHz network

I have a new Apple Extreme Base Station with full support dual band 802.11n.
I set up two separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks.
The wireless adapter is a Realtek wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC 8191SE bundled with the laptop when I bought it.
Toshiba L640 sees only the 2.4 GHz network.
On another site, a technician HP recommended upgrading of 8192E Realtek adapter.
What can I do to get 802.11n 5 GHz work?

    Hello

The Satellite Pro L640 seems to be a Toshiba laptop we.
In any case, first you must make sure that your wireless network card is 802.11 Wlan N capable.
If the WLan card would support 802.11 Wlan N standard, then I recommend updating the driver WLan.
You must use the most recent driver from the Wlan card manufacturer page.

In addition, you must make sure that wireless network adapter has been configured to use the standard 802.11 N.
You should check the settings in the Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite Pro A10 won't boot up - where to get the disks

I have a Satellite Pro A10 that currently does not start up Windows (XP) as it says

The following file is corrupted or damaged:
    C:\windows\system32\config\system

Tools & Utilities CD that came with my laptop has unfortunately been scratched and will not start.
I have two system recovery disks, which are very good.

    My questions:

    1. is it possible to buy a replacement Tools & Utilities CD-Rom?
    2. If Yes, where to go?
    3. is there a way to restore my laptop without having to reinstall everything completely and lose all my files?

    Thank you

    With regard to the point;

    (a) generally, it should be possible to order the CD of tools & utilities but I ask why?
    (b) you can buy the CD of the ASP in your country
    (c) the older recovery CD is supported by an expert mode. You can use this mode to choose the partition where the OS is to be installed. In this case only, this partition will be formatted.

But look, man. You do not need to order the CD tools & utilities because on this CD, you will only find the Toshiba drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba page too.

  • Satellite Pro A10 won't start HARD drive

I have a Satellite Pro A10 that is not responding. If I have the connected HARD drive I get a ' insert System Disk... "message, I checked the HARD drive with a 2.5" USB connector in another computer and it seems OK.

The laptop, I cannot change the boot order to select CD-Rom so that I can try the recovery disks. I can't get into the BIOS, but the Boot Priority option is not selectable.

    Any help appreciated.

Especially this error message appears because the Middle starts not able.
You insert a boot able CD?

Try this: connect the computer laptop HARD drive to a USB adapter and try to format the whole HARD drive.
Then put it in the laptop, insert the bootable CD and try to boot from the drive.
As mentioned you could press the C button immediately after you start the laptop

  • Satellite Pro 4600 won't start

I have a Satellite Pro 4600 w / Win2000, 15 GB HD, CD-ROM, P3 800 Mhz, 128 MB of RAM. It will not start. I can plug in the power cable and the lights show the battery is loaded or loads, the power is connected. When I press the button I get no sound from the laptop (no fans or HARD drive) and there is nothing from the HARD disk (no light whatever it may be), but the "On" indicator light turns green even if nothing else happens. Someone at - it an idea what could be wrong with that, and if/how I could fix it?

    Thank you, Adrian

    Hi Adrien,.

As a first step to diagnose your problem, I suggest you to unplug the unit from AC power and also remove the battery completely. Reconnect AC power and try to turn on the unit. If it works then stop it and reinstall the battery and try to turn on the unit again.

If the procedure above does not solve your problem, then it is likely that there is a problem with the internal components of your laptop in which case you will need to be serviced by an authorized Service partner.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite Pro 2100 won't start at all - LED flash

My SP2100 began to have feeding problems and now won't start at all. The AC adapter green LED is lit, that are relevant lights on the body of the laptop (although the "battery charge" light always orange these days). When I try the switch on, startup begins (in fact succeeded on occasion until this morning), however the battery indicator and the adapter lights are flashing, and everything stops again.

On the rare occasions when I'll be past this stage, lights blinking, and the system soon shuts down again with a screen message "low battery." Until this morning, he would sometimes settle, the computer remained on, and the lights showed a State of equilibrium as usual.

Initially I thought that the problem was of course the battery or the AC adapter, but now I'm starting to think that it is with internal PSU of the laptop (although I suspect the battery is probably tour after all this part of loading and unloading).

    Any ideas?

    Hello

I think you're right. Flashing LEDS are a sign that hardware is defective.
I can't say what exactly is the problem, this should be verified by a technicain.
On the other side I don't know if it's worth to repair such an old machine.

  • Satellite Pro L850 won't boot F2, F12, C & 0 do not work

My Satellite L850 race that Win7 does not start, after that power on it alternates between dark grey and light screen.

I tried holding C and 0 when blood work or fact by pressing F2 or F12. No new software has been added recently. Please, any help appreciated, thanks.

After reading your ad, it is not easy to say what the problem is here. He started from one moment to the other, or you did something that may be responsible for this?

Are you sure display is not faulty?
If possible try to connect your laptop to external monitor and start again to see if something pops up on this subject.
Disconnect the power and remove the battery. Press the power button / stop for 20 seconds and leave it for a while. Only connect the power supply and try to start it again. Test it with external display.

Maybe the BIOS is screwed up. Perhaps is troublemaker GPU. On this virtual path, we can only speculate what may be the problem.

By the way: when you turn on your laptop doesn't it stay ON all the time?
