When I try to pair devices PCsuite 5.009.00 it goes further.
Suite PC give me the code PIN and C510 request entry, but when I confirm the PIN in the C510, PCsuite returns the error "pairing failed, you want to repeat?

This time C510 apears in the window 'see devices in the options bluetoothstack...' but PCsuite sees C510 and BluetoothStack or...

Thank you in advance.

Hello

I had a similar problem with Satellite P200 and my mobile phone from Motorola. Yesterday I installed the latest version of stack 6.40.02 BT (T) and all of a sudden, everything works fine.

Please install the last pile of BT of http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/ and try again.

I have Toshiba Satellite U400 with Vista. I can't access the internet via the wireless network in my home.

My computer connects with the network and the signal is excellent but Internet explorer is never able to display the web page. I followed the instructions to diagnose connection problems. I reset the network connection Windows network adapter, as suggested. He said while there still seems to be a problem with your connection, he tried a repair but the problem persists. He cannot communicate with the first DNS Server (212.77.192.59).

My colleagues can access the internet with their computer, and I had no problem recently with connecting to other wireless networks in cafes and hotels.
    Can anyone help?

Have you tried another browser like Firefox or have you only tried only Internet Explorer?

You have DHCP or a static IP address? If you have DHCP make you you get the DNS server address automatically.
If you have a static IP address, you must change the DNS address.

    I use Satellite U400.

And I can't install wireless driver I do not know why. I opened the file and it will not just install, but I still think I have the latest drivers for my wireless network.
but my serious question was: why do I drop and limit the bandwidth with windows 7, but not with Windows XP?

I have 1Mbps but example I want to download firefox I go to their site and then it shows between 50 and 70 KB/s, but sometimes it happens to my high normal max 120 Kb/s, and on google, I saw that a lot of people have this problem.

And sometimes some site are not loading or I just got error because of the good slow sites Web just disable: (, never happened before.

Please someone help - suggestions please?

    Hello

I doubt it has something to do with Windows 7
In my view, it must be a driver issue or use other WLAN settings?

So first make sure that this latest WLAN driver is installed. After that, check the version of your BIOS. Here, you must also use the latest version of Toshiba.

If you are using a firewall, you must disable. Maybe it s blocking your internet connection

    Thank you

    SAL :)

    Hello Sal

I played around with this stuff and here is my opinion on this subject.

    (1) as far as I know there is nothing strange. I noticed the same thing on notebooks too. For example, if you want to listen to music, you can simply press PLAYER button (3rd from left) and begins at will for laptop and open windows media player. If you want to go on the internet you can simply press INTERNET ((deuxieme button on the left). Laptop will be put into construction and Internet Explore will be open.
So there is nothing strange, and even get on my Satellite P200 and brand-new Satellite A300.
To be honest I don't know if this can be disabled. I'll ask a friend of mine. It is monster of Toshiba and maybe he knows more about it. But this behavior is certainly not strange.

If you want to use only the power button and then press power button to start. Do not touch the other.

    (2) Please check s operating manuals and look for info on this button. AFAIK it is clearly written Mute or LED on / off depending on the model you purchased, press this button to mute the sound or turn on or off the illumination of the logo of the brand, touchpad and buttons.
So please do not mix anything. This button has no two options. On your model, you can disable illumination only. It is the same on my laptop. So there is nothing wrong with your laptop.

    (3) you also misunderstood this feature. If face recognition is activated the two options will be displayed. If you do not want to enter a password you can use the option of face recognition. But what you will do if for some reason your face may not be identified correctly. How you want to connect?

So, please don't be irritated by these things, everything is OK.

  • Battery on Satellite U400 problem

I bought my dad a Satellite U400 laptop 10J for her birthday there is a little less than 2 years. More than 60 years and not too keen on the use of a laptop computer, he left the unit in her closet for nearly a year before turning on. The first problem with the laptop materialsed turns don't not on with the error "battery not recognized." Subsequent update of the BIOS got the laptop so that it starts. However, despite the now (or appearing to be charged) battery can hold only about 10 minutes of charge. It got progressively worse until it is the only way to use the laptop to keep constantly plugged in. As you can imagine, limiting the usefulness of having a laptop in the first place.

I got back to the retailer and given that I had bought extended warrantly, hoped that they would replace the battery. They refused, indicating that the battery is not covered and that, by not using not the first laptop after buying, I had damaged the battery current.

Is this possible? Can do a battery irrevocably damaged by the inactivity? I think that the period was approximately 9 months, during which it had not yet unpacked it in the box.

If that is the case, are optionally spare batteries or should I order a battery Toshiba orginal? Also, are there long lifetime battery options available for this model?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, it can happen. It is recommended to charge the battery full, even if not used. You must use original Toshiba batteries do not think that it is extended life battery available

  • Satellite U400 - problem with the new extension to 2 GB RAM

    Hello

    My satellite U400 have 3 GB of DDR2 memory. (2 GB DDR Kingston PC5300 + 1 go)
    I tried to put 4 GB of RAM (2 x 2 GB DDR2 PC5300 Kingston).
But I have the blue screen on startup of windows.

Each extension RAM works very well (try with 2 GB of RAM only).

Windows 7-64 bit / CRUCIAL M4 256 GB HARD drive.

    Do you have any solutions?

    Thank you.

Can you please post exact model laptop (U400-xxx)?
I just want to which Kingston modules are 100% compatible with your laptop satellite.

I can only imagine that you are using incompatible Ram. All compatible modules will be recognized correctly and you will be able to boot your laptop as usual.

  • Satellite P300 - re-connection Bluetooth problem

    Good day to you all,.

I bought a laptop Toshiba P300 BB with WiFi and bluetooth Windows Vista certified.
Everything works fine with only the exception of the connection between my mobile phone (Nokia 6300) and the program "Nokia PC Suite"
When I put the PC in 'sleep' by closing the lid of the screen, the bluetooth with the phone stop connection (it seems to be ok)
When the PC is wake up by opening the lid of the screen, it will start, but the bluetooth between the phone and the PC (Nokia suite) connection is not recognized. Even trying to do it manually.
To reactivate this connection automatically, the computer must be stopped and restarted re - a.

The PC power is set to power and battery on "never stop".
The action of closing the cover of PC screen is set to 'sleep' (French intelligence)

What is going on? and what needs to be done to fix this problem?
All your 'lights' on this topic will be welcome
    Thanks a lot

    Hello

This question must be post at Nokia. They have designed this software and before software is released, it must be tested. I assume that they test it on several different laptops and desktop computers.

So why this third party software doesn't work on Toshiba must be answered by Nokia.
Computer laptop manufacturers don't offer support for this software and cannot be responsible for the feature.

In any case, for me is not the big problem. It cannot be that difficult to turn off the connection before switching in standby mode, or maybe close to Nokia PC Suite. After waking up, start the software again and it should work properly.

  • Satellite A305-S6852 - connection Bluetooth for Samsung D900i problem

    Hi guys!

I have laptop Toshiba A305-S6852 and I have some problems with my Bluetooth.
I can't use it. When I followed this path Start-Toshiba-bluetooth-bluetooth settings, something happens to my screen that install the Bluetooth driver...

Please wait and AI? m pending but a few minutes later, some warns happens too "Please, plug the Bluetooth device and click OK Office? and in fact I na? t understand what that means...

So what do I do to connect to my phone (samsung D900i) via Bluetooth?
    Thank you

There are 2 possible reasons that may be the cause:
-Your laptop does not have Bluetooth. Turn your laptop upside down and check if there is a label of bluetooth. If this is not the case, no BT is inside.
-Your antenna switch is off. Turn it on if it is off.

  • Problem connecting Bluetooth with Windows Mobile Device Center

    Hello

I have and HTC Snap with WM 6.1 I want to connect to my Satellite P500 running Windows 7 to be able to move the files by using Windows Mobile Device Center.

I know that this device can talk to this laptop via bluetooth, because there are some utilities bluetooth Toshiba that I can use to get a connection.

However, even if the Toshiba utility recognizes my bluetooth device, but WMDC is not. WMDC recognises my device when it is connected with a USB cable.

I don't know about the drvupdate-amd64 download which I think is necessary with WMDC but when I run what it looks like all it does is try to install a device driver for a device that is 'unknown '. I get a message at the end that driver could not be installed.

I have run out of ideas on how to get these things to work. Someone at - it a similar experience?

Could this be a problem of COM port? My Bluetooth device to 40 com affected Toshiba stack I don't see a COM 40 in the WMDC, just a port identified as "Bluetooth" settings

  • Satellite L750 - problem connecting Internet of Atheros AR9002WB-1NG

I bought a Toshiba Satellite L750 and a Linksys/Cisco Modem Router WAG120N in early June and have struggled since the connection to the internet.

I have a hard desktop connected to the modem PC and have no problem of internet access. Portable wireless internet connection maintains a fall or not to display a Web page (even though it says it is connected). It will only work effectively when it is connected through an ethernet straight cable to the modem. Linksys said they believe that the Atheros is not compatible with the modem and contact Toshiba ask him for the latest download update the adapter driver. I am running one in the title.

Can anyone help? I don't know much about these things. Thank you.

    Hi Lisa,

These questions on the preinstalled version of Windows 7 in Toshiba or your own installation of Windows?
Is it in eco mode or maximum performance too?

This problem could be linked to the function of your energy saving wireless network card. In Windows power management, you can disable the WLAN energy saving function. You will need to set maximum performance for each power profile.

In addition, an update of the WLAN driver is always advisable. You can download the latest version on portal Toshiba WLAN:

  • Satellite U400 - S00 Wireless connection problem

I have a Satellite U400, which was lowered to XP Business.
Wireless networking seems to work only intermittently.
I can see several netoworks available and that you have selected the office, wireless access Point to connect automatically. It is the only network that I listed for to connect you.

The laptop often fails to connect the access point, often trying to connect to another nearby wireless device unsecured.
If I manually select the office network and click 'Connect', it asks for the key wireless (I have enter) and then it connects briefly, gets an IP via DHCP and disconnects quickly about 10 seconds later.

If I repeat the reconnection attempts, sometimes I am able to keep the connection for several hours, but if I stop and restart I have to repeat the same procedure. I downloaded what I think is the most up-to-date intel wireless drivers, but I would appreciate a pointer to the most recent.

I'm not using the ConfigFree, just the menu of Windows Wireless configuration base (Zeroconf service)

This is driving me crazy. Help, please.

    Hello

I found this thread and I would like to my experience with the U400.
Yes, I have a U400 and I installed Win XP Pro.
I have an Intel WLan card and I already updated the driver WLan to the State.

    I found new drivers here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

I must say that my WiFi works without problem! I have the latest version of the BIOS and I never noticed any problems.

I must also say that I have don t use tools of any additional WLan configuration but ONLY options specific to Windows and its ok.
I have disabled the Intel ProSet utility Msconfig and it does not load at the beginning.

I have configured my OS and laptop computer ONLY connects to my wireless private network.
Of course if my private Wlan is not available it automatically connects to a WLan unsafe in my range.

  • Satellite C870 - sound quality & Bluetooth connection problem

    C870 satellite.

    (1) problems with Bluetooth - machine could not find other peripheral and there were communications problems;

    (2) I am very, very disappointed by the quality of the sound. The speakers are very poor. If I had known I wouldn't n buy it! Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to check it out and assumed Toshiba will keep minimum standards in this area.
In the past (a few years ago)

I used PC Toshiba laptop and it was OK.
To be honest, I bought for this calculated because of my good experience of the past, but will be more careful in the future.

Now I have to life with her in the past 800US.
The rest is OK - for now.

    > 1) issues with Bluetooth - machine could not find other devices and there are communication problems;

What Satellite C870-xxx you have exactly?
From my own experience, some models support BT and some don t so probably your device does support BT or you have done something wrong then that configuration of BT.

(> 2) I am very, very disappointed by the quality of the sound. The speakers are very poor. If I had known I wouldn't n buy it! Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to check it out and assumed Toshiba will keep minimum standards in this area. In the past (a few years ago)

My own different models of knowledge supports different hardware specifications. You can buy models of laptops with Harman-Kardon speakers that offer the best sound quality. This device seems to support standard speakers.
So it s always a question of value for money and in my opinion it is not too bad.
