  Firefox 17.0.1. I have the option "Open new windows in a new tab instead" together, I use the addon of Tree Style Tab 0.14.2012111201 (and other unrelated tabs or windows), and I have several profiles. It seems that since I started to use several profiles some programs (help of MediaMonkey, for instance) insist on opening a new window of Firefox. If I select one or several profiles currently open it says "Current usage profile". Some programs who want to open a website to view their help files open a tab in the current browser, as window expected and desired. But most programs cause choose it display a profile box.

  Make sure that you do not start Firefox with the - No.-remote switch or have defined the MOZ_NO_REMOTE = 1 environment variable (Control Panel > system > advanced > environment variables).

  If you need to have several open profiles at the same time then start the following instances with the - no - remote line switch.
  
  You can't send links from other programs to a Firefox instance that is started with the - non-interrupteur to distance.
  In this case, you must drag the links in a Firefox window or paste the link into the address bar.

  Hi, I have a user with a fresh install/update of Windows 7 64-bit. For some strange reason, it continually records clics.2 seconds in duration. We tried to restart, replacing the mouse and even unplug the mouse entirely without any change in behavior. Anyone know what may be causing this? This machine was installed Friday (today is Monday) and worked perfectly all day Friday.

• Windows Vista starts with empty office and the mouse cursor, then restarts

  I have trouble getting Vista to start on an Acer laptop.  The laptop is an Acer Aspire 6920 G with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit on it.

  The PC will start in an empty office with stop mouse cursor on this screen for about a 1 min and then it restarts and you go through the same process again.  I tried the safe mode and last good configuration to know but get the same results.  I have also tried to run the Startup Repair tool and get the same screen.  I can launch Startup Repair to boot from a DVD of Vista Home Premium 32-bit and I can run but it makes no different.  When you restart, you get the same problem.

  Does anyone have an idea?

  No it isn't the trunk upwards with the black screen and the mouse.

  Since you are unable to run start up repair boot from the Vista disc, you can try to perform a system restore start from the disc and see if it helps.

  I have a Dell Latitude E4310 running Vista professional 7.

  It worked fine with no problem except when I turned it on this morning.

  He went through his normal boot sequence (Logo Microsoft...) and then instead going to my office for display, the screen stayed black with only my visible mouse cursor.

• Windows 8 media library is slow to respond to the mouse clicks

  I added the media library with free product key, but the app is completely unusable because it takes several minutes to respond to a mouse click and I have to restart.   I got windows 7 64 bit and everything worked fine, after the upgrade to windows 8, I had to update some drivers that was expected.  I remember very well not have problems during shut down my computer, I would choose Shut down and my computer would be closed and turned off as it should. Is that after a few weeks of running Windows 8 when a started problem where my computer wouldn't turn itself turned off after windows stops. I thought that maybe do a complete reset fresh windows 8 could solve the problem, but after reinstalling everything that I still have the same problem where my computer not power off. I tried disabling "quick start" to update my BIOS of motherboard.

  Anyone else have a similar problem that they were able to fix?

  I SOLVED MY PROBLEM!

  It turns out that there is a CMOS bug with my motherboard.  What I did to solve this problem is I have reset the settings in my BIOS AND I cleared the CMOS to its default (see the manual of the motherboard manufacturer for instructions on how to reset the CMOS settings), for mine, I used a jumper.

  Now, my computer stops correctly and goes off as it is supposed to.

  I suggest that you try to reset the media library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:

  -Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
  -Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
  -In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
