Scanning 35mm slides

The Photosmart 2610xi can scan 35 mm slides?

Hi tobyz95,

The 2610xi doesn't have the ability to scan slide 33mm.

Here's your printers specifications page. HP Photosmart 2610xi all-in-One Printer Specifications.

  • I'm havin' a time helluva determine how to scan 35mm slides... Please HELP!

I dug up a treasure box of old 35mm slides from 50-70 ' ies.  Problem is that I can not understand how say that scans the slide or to look through, incidentally, without in mirror image.  The slides that have alpha-numeric characters in the background are fairly easy, but those who don't kill me. Hoping someone here can give me some advice!  Thanks in advance.

If they have been processed by Kodak and Kodak cardboard supports, the logo goes away from you when you look at the slide. In the case of plastic materials, they are often embossed with the text ' this side screen "on one side, or have some other difference evident between front and rear. I would take a peek at those you know are facing the right way and then others based on those in the case of similar media.

  • Using scanjet G4050 HP scanning 35mm slide

A week ago, I bought a HP scanjet G4050. I bought to digitize old 35mm slides, I chose this model because it was written, I could scan 16 slides at the same time, but I can't find a software that can do!

    Please help me!

My operating system is Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks.

Sorry for my bad English, I write from the Italy.

Thank you very much in advance for your answer!

Sorry for my bad English but I'm Italian and my English is not very good!

I solved my problem, I "reset" my mac, so I downloaded this driver

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4159 & LC = IT & CC = IT & DLC = IT & sw_lang = & Product = 3236377 #n177

and I bought vuescan standard edition (because with the free, it did not work) and now I can scan slide 16 in order!

I save in 1200 dpi and for all slides 16 it takes more or less 50 minutes, sometimes, it seems that the scanner is stuck, but I think the problem is that my mac is not powerful enough to image realignment process takes a lot of time.

  • I want only to scan old slides and photos for catering and archiving using a v-600 bought Epson recently. However, I want to be able to integrate the text (metadata) such as captions or descriptions of each of the photo file. What software LR or PS would

I want only to scan slides and old pictures restoration and archiving using a recently bought Epson v-600 (always in the box). However I want specifically to integrate the text (metadata) such as captions or descriptions of each of the photo file. What software LR or PS would be more appropriate and easier to use? Running Win 8.1 on a desktop computer.

Both will work, but Lightroom would be better to enter metadata in the image. and keep track of them. You get both with the Photoshop Lightroom bundle for $10 per month.

  • Size of the file after scanning a slide

After scanning a silde in TIFF format, when I import into the library Lightroom file size is only about 1/6th the size of the file scanned on my hard drive. A scan of 50 MB becomes a LR 8 MB file. If I take the file in Photoshop, he's still 50 MB. I tried to save the photoshop file with a different name and then put in LR, but she ends up always in 8 MB. I have the same problem using VueScan 9.0.90 both the software of scans Silverfast 8.0. How to keep the size of the original file?

    LR4.3 is updated

    OS - X 10.8.2 is up-to-date

    Pacific image Electronics Powerslide 5000

Software Imaging is 9.0.90 VueScan and Silverfast have Studio 8

    Any help is appreciated

You misread the info for the magnifying glass; It does not say 8 MB (megabytes), it says 8 MP (megaPixel). It is something completely different.

I would recommend that you select instead of for display. It's a much better idea how wide is your file, and if you divide the dimensions cropped by 300 you get to the size of the typical print of this image (without resizing) file.

  • Scan slides

HP makes all inkjet multifunction printers that scan 35mm slides? I'm in the market for a new printer & I have a lot of slides 35mm I want to scan & save. If so, which?

I have a Mac with the Mavericks OS X installed.

I don't understand why I haven't gotten an answer to my question. It has been a week since I originally asked the question. So, no you gave me no choice but to eliminate your printers of the review. I'm in the market for a new printer & you have not answered my question even though I asked more than once. So I will not get an HP printer.

  • Need a new printer.

My PSC 2210 is really pointing upwards and I need to get a new HP.  Is there an 'all in one' which does a decent job with color slides?  I really don't want to buy two units and simply copy the blades once then I will be.  A fax is not mandatory, but it will use if there is an 'all in one' who will do the slides.  My printing needs are simple and personal letter black and white, color, copies of letters and pictures.  The PSC 2210 filled all my needs, with the exception of not being able to make snow.

Color slides do you mean that you want to scan 35 mm slides or you want to print transparencies?  Scanning 35mm slides requires an adapter of backlight, mentioned by HP as an adapter (TMA) media transparency.  Listed here that this function does not appear to be offered on the new HP all-in-one units, it is available in some specialty photo scanners.

  • Scanning of 35mm color slides

CAN/how to scan color slides 35mm on my HP Officejet Pro 8500 a A910a to produce JPEGs [PC Win7] please.

Research in the specifications of the Officejet Pro 8500 has, there no transparent materials (TMA) adapter and a not the lamp to illuminate the negatives of 35 mm slides.

Only the models Scanjet has the TMA and the lamp to scan your 35 mm photo slides.

The TMA has models > Scanjet G3110 and Scanjet G4010 Scanjet G4050.

    Hope this information makes clear

  • My Photosmart 3210: when scanning slides 35 mm, the scan results in a single image

    Photosmart 3210 all-in-one

    Mac OS 10.6.8

    HP software: HP_Installer_Photosmart_Full_Group12_10.3.dmg

This is my 1st attempt to digitize old 35mm color slides. At the first trial, the scanner produces four good images. On the next sweep attempts, it produces only a single image containing four slides and a message in the printer says "no scan options".

I tried your troubleshooting ideas: unpluggng the printer, uninstall/reinstall the software HP & pilot.

All other functions of the word OK printer. Any ideas?

    macintod

Thank you, Sean.   Scanning is now the induvidual pictures production. But I had todo several other procedures.

I have reset the printer according to your instructions, but it had the same negative results.

I then unplugged the power from the printer and the signal cables, and then reconnected them and restarted the printer. I then reset the printer by you instructions.  I restarted my iMac's "HP Scan", selected slides in the HP scan profiles and pressed 'Scan '.  The result was four individual images.

    Thank you very much.   macintod
