Need a new printer.

My PSC 2210 is really pointing upwards and I need to get a new HP.  Is there an 'all in one' which does a decent job with color slides?  I really don't want to buy two units and simply copy the blades once then I will be.  A fax is not mandatory, but it will use if there is an 'all in one' who will do the slides.  My printing needs are simple and personal letter black and white, color, copies of letters and pictures.  The PSC 2210 filled all my needs, with the exception of not being able to make snow.

Color slides do you mean that you want to scan 35 mm slides or you want to print transparencies?  Scanning 35mm slides requires an adapter of backlight, mentioned by HP as an adapter (TMA) media transparency.  Listed here that this function does not appear to be offered on the new HP all-in-one units, it is available in some specialty photo scanners.

  • Need new printer or do I just have a faulty cartridge?

Several weeks ago, I installed a new HP black cartridge in my HP Photosmart C4780 printer.  He still has a lot of ink in it.  Almost every time I print a page somewhere on the page of a line of text will have the lower part of the missing words.  They will be missing in the whole of the entire line.  The problem where the ink is missing is not always on the same side of the page.  Sometimes the top and sometimes may the middle or the bottom.

I tried all phases of cleaning the printer don't is including the own intermediary and advanced clean.   I tried to remove the cartridge and clean it because I read on the HP site.  Still having the same problem.

I am due the new color ink cartridge buy but do not know whether to buy the new ink or if I just need a new printer?  This one is a few years old.

Do you think I have a faulty cartridge, although it is a new HP cartridge or is it more likely my printer is the problem?

Any suggestion would be appreciated.    I can't wait to invest more money in ink, if this isn't the problem.

Looks like it might be a problem with the cartridge. What is the warranty ends the date on this subject?

  • I have no Windows Tool bar feature and need to add a new printer for Firefox. How can I do?

When I go to a different web server, there is a toolbar at the top ' file and with other functions. " I don't have this toolbar with Firefox. I bought a new printer, I need to conect to Firefox to be able to print.

How do the bar and conect the printer

    Hi pastore27.

You should be able to print documents from Web pages using Firefox. The "print" button should display by default. However, it is possible, it has been removed during an upgrade or because of personal preferences. The way to fix:

    1. Firefox > view > toolbars > customize
    2. Select the printer icon and drag it to your browser window

I also found a Support article on the restoration of the toolbars, as you say it lacked the toolbar:

The back, home, bookmarks navigation buttons and recharge are missing

    I hope that helps!

  • HP Officejet 6835: Not to recognize new printer cartridges.

Exchanged a defective HP Officejet Pro 6835 at Costco. I kept the old cartridges and Costco pulled the new printer cartridges and kept them. During the installation of the printer does not recognize the used cartridges. Error message received to use cartridges supplied with the printer configuration. Did not have them. Is gone to town & bought new HP cartridges and install. The printer took over in the same place on the installer. It does not recognize the new cartridges. What can I do? I can't start the installation program. I remove the new cartridges and reinstall them using and get the same message again. She can't get to work, so I'll have to make another 90 mile round trip to Costco to replace this printer.  Any suggestions?

    Doreen

You will need to install cartridges for initial configuration, Costco shouldn't have removed the cartridges setup.  You can contact HP, they could send replacement cartridges setup or they may suggest that you only contact Costco.

  • HP Office Jet Pro 8720: Problem set up and launch the new printer & ink cartridge installation

    Two questions:
First... it takes a LONG time for the computer to open itself.
Then, when he did initiate... I opened the section of ink cartridge
to install the ink & transport of ink would not come to the Center.
SO... I stopped the printer to start again... and now, the
screen has a spinning wheel indicating "cartridges controls."
It lasts for more than half an hour.
HELP... This is a new printer & I can't open.
    Thank you kindly.

    Hi @paulallah,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printer problem.

I understand that you have a printer of HP all-in-one OfficeJet Pro 8720 which took a long time to initialize and is now stuck in a mode 'check' cartridges after the reboot it because transport would not move to the Center. I would like to help with that.

I would start by doing a Reset of the power on the printer.

If that fails to solve the problem, you might want to speak with HP Technical Support as there may be a hardware problem.

You mentioned that you are using a Mac running OS X 10.5 Leopard or more. The HP all-in-one OfficeJet Pro 8720 printer is only compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or later.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Indeed, if this help you to achieve a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

  • HP Officejet e4630: new printer prints images in Microsoft Publisher wrong.

Hello.  I had to get a new printer and choose the HP Officejet e4630.  It's a simple printer, as I work as well, now.

I create my documents to distribute lessons in Microsoft Publisher (2003) and includes images in tutorials.  I usually do the parts of the software to screen captures and simply copy and paste in the editor.   Never had a problem like this before.

Now, when I print documents, the images are HUGE and out of the page.  I resize and they look great on the screen, but come out terrible when printing.

I just had a class with several pages of documents to distribute up-to-date and had to make a PDF file and take to my husband printer to print, since there is the program I use to create.  Is not acceptable and does not know what the problem is.  I even took the screen shot and saved as .jpg, png, etc. and inserted in my editor program and that made no difference.

Configure the printer makes no sense to me and options have locks on them, so I am at a loss.

I bought the 21/08/15 and don't know if I can return it, so if you have answers for me, I certainly would appreciate it.  I really hate the return of products.

    Thank you.

Oh gosh, I had given up on the Forum because it's been a while since I posted.  What I did was contact HP support and finished with a person to enter in my remote computer and checking the settings, etc.  What she ended up doing updates to the software (I thought that I did when I installed it, duh!) and then it worked fine.

Thank you for your advice and will keep it in mind if needed, next time.

Now, I'll post this message and then come back here and hope that I find the original so I can mark it as resolved.  I always so bad to find my original message when signing.  The forums are confusing to me, this way.

    Thank you very much.

  • Try to find a new printer that runs on Windows NT 4.0

I am buying a new printer to use on my business network. They used a server terminal server called Citrix Adage. I need to know what drivers are compatible with Windows NT 4.0, since this is what adage runs on. My colleagues told me they were trying to install a driver for Dell 1720dn on it and it crashed the server. I'm pretty certain that I will not see all printers now-a-days they go on the market that it is compatible with NT 4.0. A successful driver they use for some time is the driver of HP LaserJet 5N. They use it on almost all of the printers that it works on. I'm sorry I'm being rather scatter-brained right now. Will review tonight.

EDIT: done the more accurate title

    Hello

The printer manufacturers are responsible for the generation of drivers that work between their hardware and the operating system.

To determine if they have a Windows NT 4.0 driver, you will need to go the manufacturer's site and see what drivers are available.

    Best regards

  • AIO HP 8610 Pro: new printer

HP sent me a printer replacement for one who does not connect.

My question is, Im on the instant ink programme with this printer.

How can I go on the withdrawal of this printer and registering a new one in the program of the ink?

I won't be charged twice for a printer in the program is my concern. Thank you

    Hi @Stegle.

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you would like to know how to delete a printer and write a new with instant ink program. I would like to help.

You will need to log into your instant account of ink. From there, you can cancel the account. The arrival of the replacement printer you can add it to your existing account.

This document will help: HP Instant - how to cancel your Instant HP ink cartridges ink Plan

Was it the instant ink Department which has replaced your printer? They should instantly send in with the replacement printer cartridges. This is because the cartridges are locked for each printer. Instant ink Department can also help to remove the old printer from your account and adding the new printer.

Here's the Info for instant contact of ink: HP Instant ink program

I would like to know if these measures worked for you. If they did, it's great! Give us some reinforcements by pressing buttons of solution and laurels, that we will help and others see that we have the answers!

  • email migration to a new printer

    Hello

I had an old HP printer which had a specific email for ePrint. Now, I bought a new HP printer and can no longer use the old one. I would use the old e-mail address on the printer. Do you know how I can do?

    Thank you!

    chrisdelz

    Hi chrisdelz,

I fear that this can not be done.

The same address of HP ePrint unusable on several devices, once it has been registered for a device, it cannot be used for any other device and will be unavailable for selection.

You will need to use a different address for your new printer.

    Kind regards

    Shlomi
