  To scan legal-size documents I advise to use the software that must be installed with the printing of HP scanning software. Once you open the scanner, there should be an option on the top of the window to select it scan the area. Choose "Legal (8.5x14)" and continue as usual. You want to scan from the tray as well and not from the ADF. Here is a document on the analysis of HP:

• Premium 8600 Pro Office jet: Officejet pro 8600 not found by computers on the wireless network

  Hi all!

  I had this problem and goes out at least once a year...

  When I go to print on any computer through wireless connections, computers can't find the printer.  The printer is turned on and connected to the network, and network results show that everything is fine.  I did everything, including restarting the printer, by restarting the computer tries to print the form and reinstall the printer, and I get the message "Printer" not logged on computers.  Each moon blue, if I leave it long enough, he will find somehow the printer and printing, but as I said it's extremely rare.

  Logistics-wise, I am using Comcast for cable internet, and are all Apple products.  The modem is a Motorola and the router is a Linksys.  The router is less than 25 feet from the printer, and there is a clear shot-not walls or to block the signal

  I see that you experience the Mac-to-printer communication problems. I want to help you with this. I have some suggestions that might help.

  I recommend you try the following steps:

  • Uninstall your printer - click here for instructions.
  • Fix permissions of the disc on your Mac - click here for instructions.
  • Once you have finished running the utility above, restart your computer.
  • Finally, click here to reinstall your printer using HP Easy Start.

  If you find the connection of the printer is more coherent then fine. If this is not the case, click here for detailed instructions on how to address the issue.   I have an ASUS G75VW, when I connect the HDMI to my TV, I get only audio through my computer laptop speakers or headphones, while it is plugged.  In addition, the TV picture is only 480 p.  When I check the sound icon, it shows that the HDMI port is "not connected" even though it is.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver on both the NVIDIA site and the site of ASUS.  Same question.  Help, please!

  Make sure that it has the TV volume.

  You can also make sure that the connections are appropriate. Try to connect to another HDMI port as well.

  Refer to the section: "Check if the cables are connected correctly" and set the HDMI audio device as the default value.

  I'd be happy to look for updates, but would need you know your exact model of the G Series notebook.  How can I find my model number or product number?

  You could try the HP Support Assistant to help acquire the right drivers running.  You could also test the graphic cards by running a hardware test on them. HP Notebook PC - hardware failures (Windows 7, Vista) screening. You will find the option for video under components.

  Please send the results of the troubleshooting.

Blue light wireless works very well, but one is not turn on even if its connected to my network via wired wired connection? He appears in the window it is a wired connection.   Just to clear things up, on the façade, only the wireless symbol lights up. Ethernet symbol is just there to indicate that the printer can be connected by ethernet. You will see 2 signs of an ethernet connection: 1. on the display, there will be a symbol of the ethernet. 2. There will be a light orange\green next to the ethernet on the back of the printer port.

  My new Office Jet 8500 (A910-G) seems to correctly perform a scan to PDF, but the PDF file does not open, gives me the error message "the selected document cannot be opened" in PDF Complete.

  I agree that it's a software because it works well with Adobe Acrobat.  It's just PDF Complete (which was free with my HP computer) does not work!

The message asked me to go to support, but I downloaded the drivers twice and still it will not activate the scan of the computer. What am I missing to make this work.thanks for your help

  Scan of the computer can be activated that the current software was conducted before Sierra.

  Software update should be available in the next few weeks to fully support the Sierra, for now just start analysis of your Mac.

  I reinstalled the drivers for full features. I can't use the printer to scan to my office, I am only able to use the Printer Wizard. I was able to scan like this before and for some reason any during the last six months, I can't do it from the printer. It's annoying not to have two options.

  Thanks for the reply. I understand that it will be a lot of time. I don't think that the printer is the cause. To test the feature, you are able to make a copy? If so, the problem is corruption in the computer as a suspect. If all else fails, you should be able to go back using the HP9800 driver for printing.

  How can I get that back?

  1. first of all uninstall the software

  • Click on start button, then go to programs > HP > Officejet 8600 and click on Uninstall.

  2. then go to Control Panel > programs and features

  • Officejet 8600-click and then click on uninstall a program

  3. then download the software on the HP web:

  •  HP Officejet 8600 - drivers and full software features - Windows 7 64 bit

  4 and install with the downloaded software.

  I recently bought the new HP Photosmart 5510 all in one - and I am not able to scan from my printer to my computer.

  I am however able to scan by launching the scan of the computer. I talked to HP customer earlier this evening and we ran printing + scan doctor and can't find any problems.

  I am running Windows 7-64 bit and that you have installed my wireless printer using the Installation CD supplied with the printer today.

  I could not finish troubleshooting with the technician that I talked to because I had to go to work. The person that I spoke with proposed possibly the full functionality of software downloaded from the hp.com site, which I'm happy to do, but I think that it is useless, because I have the CD of installation here. (The rep that I talked to was very nice, but I prefer not to have to uninstall and reinstall if it is not necessary)

  Because as I mentioned above, everything works perfectly and I am able to scan - but not directly from the printer itself.

  When I try to scan from my printer to my computer an error message appears on the control panel of the printer indicating that: there is no scan destination options of analysis chosen / no..

  However, I can't find anywhere with my HP software where I could add / make sure that the destinations were there. (As I could on my other printers. (IE. By the solution Center)

  This printer does not appear to be a solution center that I could find and the scanner installed with the CD icon doesn't give me any options regarding changing the settings of the parser

  I wonder:

  1. the Hp Photosmart 5510 does not have the capacity to scan from the printer control panel?

  2 OR the CD installation provided with my printer only has the base drivers as the agent of tech support suggested? Which means to scan from my printer I need to download drivers for your hp Web site?

  3. or is the problem because of something else entirely?

  Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the printer.

  1. open Control Panel

  2. click on uninstall a program

  3 uninstall the Photosmart 6510 in the list

  4 restart your computer

  5. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

  6 download the drivers and full software functionality, and then reinstall the printer.

  The technical data sheet information in small print:

  3 the single pass 50 sheets, ADF automatic duplex is available with only models 8730 and 8740. 8710 and 8720 models have an ADF 50 sheets of double mechanical

  While scanning two-sided "single pass" is not available on the 8710, it should provide an automatic duplex scanning.  The leaves should go through the printer, print one side, flip and scan the second side.

  I see that you are looking in the scanning options.  I would like to help.

  As there is no software available for Mac OS X 10.9 HP, you are advised to use the driver of digitization of the OS from Apple.  I'm including a document I would recommend using, title v10.9 OS X Mavericks: installing and using the printer on a Mac.  There is a section called "How to scan with Apple software update driver?"  This should help to address the issue.
