Scope data transfer rate

I need to capture traces of scope of ~ 20 per second (2500 points per track).

I have a TDS744A which is dong at best 1 route per second with LabView and GPIB. I can go through a few cups of coffee before my data...

All the recommednations on scopes that are capable?

Tektronix scopes are up to? How are LeCroy scopes in this matter?

Any experience or summaries are appreciated.

Hi Richard,

Alan and LeCroy Support here...

The answer is Yes - the series Waverunner Xi can transfer about 24 forms of wave/sec when the scope is set to an acquisition of 2500point in mode 'Real time' (which is the standard operating mode)

You can transfer a much higher using 'Séquence Mode'.   In this mode, the scope of application records several triggers for extremely low memory with deadtime.  I find that I can transfer, for example, about 14 sequence mode acquisition per second, with each acquisition, including 10 triggers of 2500 points each, which amounts to 140 triggers per second transferred.

The best way to use will depend on your application.  For example, if you plan an average of waveforms or perform another analysis, you can do it on the field of application and save a lot of time.  Or, if you want to save the waveforms on the scope, you can save about 30 signals/s in real-time mode.

Please call me at 800-553-2769 for more information!

Best regards

Alan

Replace your hard drive by a faster, for example with an SSD.

But in my opinion, you should ignore completely all windows
Results of the experiment. They are just numbers; they are very
mislead and I wish that Microsoft has never included in
Windows. You must judge for yourself what your performance is,
and take steps to improve performance (purchase of quality components)
only if you find that your performance is unacceptable.

  • What are the motherboard data transfer rate on a HP G60 - 243CL?

I bought my laptop HP G60 - 243CL of Costco 3 years ago and continues to function perfectly. Since then I have maxed out the 320 Gig HARD drive. A few days ago, I transferred all my multimedia files of a terabyte of 1.5 external HDD. I also removed and uninstalled all the software that didn't come with the laptop pre-installed. I ran the Disk Cleaner to delete the temporary files... etc. I left pretty much the State of Out-Of-The-Box laptop... I also ran the Windows disk defragmentation application.  Although it has all updates from Windows Update. I doubt that the above mentioned is relevant to my question. The laptop came with two modules of RAM PC2-5300... a 1 Gig and 2 Gig. I replaced both with two sticks of modules/memory 2 GB PC2 - 6400. Other that this hardware upgrade, I've also upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate edition 64-bit. Now, I am also considering upgrading to an SSD HARD drive. I have of course read/write speeds rise as SSD memory ability increases (depending on model)... for ex: there is a huge difference in the rate of data transfer speeds in a 32 Gig SSD compared to a 256 GB SSD. At least that's what I noticed. I want to install a Gig of CRUCIAL 512 or possibly a CRUCIAL 256 GB SSD. Read/write speeds are respectively of 500 MB/s and 260 MB/s, or 230 MB/sec and 190 MB/s (again, depending on the model). My question is noticed in the SUBJECT field. Can you please help me make a wise decision? I wish that more technical details as possible. Thanks... :-)

This laptop is equipped with SATA I, which is 150Gbit/s. You will not reach the maximum speed of your SSD, but it will be much faster then your current old school disc spinner. An SSD will always exceed a normal HARD drive. In addition, you should see a bump in battery life as well.

    I hope this helps!

  • How I choose the USB-6251 (full speed or high speed) data transfer rate?

Hi, this is bose, FAE Samsung in Korea.

I saw the USB-6251 specifications that it transfer data at high speed or full speed.

How can I select speed mode?

    It depends on computer?

    Thank you.

Fairly certain, it is totally dependent on the USB hub.

  • transfer rate what is data from disk

When I check my note to my computer, I notice that disk data transfer rate is the smallest number. Could someone tell me what this means and how I improve it. Thank you

    Hi June,

Without making too detailed, its basically the speed at which your hard drive ("disc") reads and writes ("transfer") data bits ("rate") between different parts of the hard drive and the central memory.

Short of a change of equipment, that is, change or replace the classic hard drive (HDD) by a unit of the solid state (SSD), nothing much you can do. Its totally a hardware related issue, and there is nothing software can do the actual transfer rate; It's a built-in to every reader of all limit which the (physical) hard drive controller is capable of doing.

Let me know if this helps you.

    Kind regards

  • Acer Aspire E5-521-85EX does support up to 3 or 6 Gbit/s transfer rate for HARD drive?

I would like to install an SSD that supports 6-gb/s data transfer rates, but this laptop support it?

    You are right.

For your laptop computer, the interface of the original HARD disk speed is 6 Gbps (WD WD10JPVX).

  • How to calculate the rate of data transfer if I know that the total number of samples/s?

I'm looking to set a PXI system for measurement of County at high speed, routes, while that controlled remotely via MXI - 4.  How can I be sure that the controller is capable of rapid data transfer quite seen the number of channels and frequencies of sampling provided?

I think I figured this out, but maybe someone can save me.  For the task at hand, I will have a PXI-4496 and four PXI - 6143 s all 32768 samples/s sampling.  4496 is 24-bit, and 6143 is 16-bit.  Thus,.

    bits of samples/s/channel x 24 16 channels x 32768/8 = 1 048 576 bytes / s

    +

    32 x 32768 samples/s/channel x 16 bits/8 channels = 2,097152 bytes/sec

    =

    3 145 728 bytes/s, or exactly 3 MB/s.

  • If possible in DAQ 6009 bidirectional parallel data transfer?

    The 6009 has two-way DIO.

However, I don't think I would be wasting my time trying to implement a protocol of communication using EID on the 6009 - this is all software timed instead of timed material, which means that your rate will be very slow)< 10="" hz)="" and="" very="" nondeterministic,="" making="" communication="" protocols="" very="" difficult="" if="" not="">

  • How to report errors in Windows 8. Example: Data transfer freezes.

How errors in the operating system Windows 8 Customer Preview can be reported to Microsoft?

For example: when I transfer data from an external desktop USB hard drive, when it reaches 99% it freezes for 50 seconds.  It is independently the size of data from a few KBs to the top.

There is a work around.   If the Panel of Navigation is active in the view for Windows Explorer, data transfers normally and are slightly faster than Win7 on the same machine.

However, this is not normal.  Windows 7 has the transfer rate even if the Navigation pane is enabled or not in Windows Explorer.

I would like to be able to report to Microsoft so that they can fix this error.  Any suggestions?

  • HP Elitebook 8570p - Windows XP USB very slow and the transfer rate performance issues.

Hello. I was wondering if anyone else knows some performance issues with the HP Elitebook 8570p and Windows XP Pro - SP3.

I get a VERY slow start, general poor performance (waiting time when opening files and programs).

I asked to burn in tests that show that everything is good.

USB transfer rates are VERY slow (tried all ports of a Seagate FreeAgent USB drive, which works fine on other laptops etc.) for example a 30-minute transfer a 7gig single file of the USB HD on the desktop. Only 3 minutes to do the same on another laptop.

I think there are problems with the drivers, like Windows 7 works very well and does boot from a bootable USB.

USB transfer rate are also good when starting from a Windows boot environment.

I installed HP SoftPaq Download Manager, and all the drivers are up to date.

    Hello:

I think outside of the box here... Select the Intel (r) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller instead.

If it does not, I raise the white flag.

  • Poor transfer rate using Converter standalone 5.0 compared to the 4.3

I recently started using the Converter new version 5.0.0.  I did successfully more than 30 years of P2V Windows 2003 systems using version 4.3.  Immediately, I noticed two problems:

    (1) the average transfer rate went from about 100 MB/s to between 0.8 and 2 MB/s.

    (2) the process has systematically failed after completion of the c: cloning and start on the D: drive.

I tried this on 5 different physical servers, ranging from 5 different servers host VMware ESXi 4.1 and the result was always the same.  I assumed it was a network problem or firewall and sent on a 'wild goose chase' network team for 2 days.  After that they were convinced that the physical machine being P2V was simply not sent sufficient packages, I went back and re-installed version 4.3 and restarted the P2V transfer.  This time, I received a transfer rate average of 100 Mbps (50 x faster) and the whole process completed successfully.

Has anyone else seen a similar problem?  No possible explanation?

The file you have to change is converter - Worker.Xml. It should be located under folder "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\VMware\VMware vCenter Converter Standalone". You should find the useSsl under the nfc subkey value in Config key. If not present, you can add this value as follows:

    ...

    fake

    ...

    ...

Save the configuration file and restart the worker VMware vCenter Converter Standalone service.
  • Transfer rate between ESXi host using "Veem backup and FastSCP".

    Hi all

I have two ESXi host connected with Eth - 1 G ports on an HP switch

now I'm trying to transfer data between two hosts using "Veem backup and FastSCP" tool

a 1 MB/s transfer rate is normal? you know a way to improve the performance of the network?

Note that no collision or inadequacy not discovered on the way to the switch

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

This work is a line perhaps? If you use VMFS as target, you must double check the block size, if it is the default 1 MB, the maximum size of a vmdk disk is 256 GB.

The value you got 274878668800 bytes, divided three times by 1024, gives you exactly 256.0007095336914 GB. This is probably the problem.

PS: I saw your error screencap you come to Italy, visit us on the pages of Italian user :-) group

  • Data transfer?

Is to connect your iPad to a computer to transfer data to your iPad another way of data transfer such as an OTG device as a micro SD card?

    Thank you

Depending on the data type and the application that you use to access this data, you may be able to save to DropBox or dedicated application servers back up (if it is a characteristic of soft offers).

SanDisk made a series of key USB Wifi active. However, due to the nature in iOS sandbox, there are many limits on what you can switch to the player. Everything happens through the application owner.
