screen black pavilion dv6 - 1205ee

Dear Sir.

I have the hp pavilion dv6-1205ee laptop, when I turn on, nothing appears on the screen (monitor). Connect an external monitor to the VGA output, it's showing the office and all the other icons. I think the problem with the screen itself, so I change the screen with more than one but the problem is not resolved. How to solve this problem? Please help me.

Best wishes.

you're right, I disassemble my laptop and I see dust frozen on the area close to VGA adapter. I clean the area with a foam cleanser and also clean the adapter cable of the LCD screen. When I turn on the laptop it works normally.

Thank you for your help.

Best wishes

  • How to adjust the contrast screen (HP Pavilion dv6-3225dx)?

Hello, the contrast on my screen in some sort I messed up, and I can't find out how to adjust it. Any help is very appreciated.

    Hey Nate,

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 too - I came across your post (and 'Help' of Viki), because my contrast was all out of whack, too (much too bright). Adjust the gamma is nothing - but then I unplugged the power cord from the laptop, waited a second and plugged back in and voila! It's all good now. Don't know why...

There is also this thread about changing the color settings - I have not tried what they said, but can be useful...

  • Screen HP Pavilion DV6 problem

My current problem is that with the passage of the mobile GPU to save energy I lose the backlight on my screen when the high performance GPU is used. The HDMI output is the video display in case of High Performance, but only an image on the laptop display with no backlighting and can only be seen by a light on the screen.

Everything started happening the past few days, I tried a system restore (do), tried to uninstall all the AMD drivers and software and then reinstall with their drivers updated, and the same process, but with drivers supplied with the notebook, HP still the same result.

Is it possible for the high-performance GPU to be lack of any way or is it a software problem? I'm running out of ideas, any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hey Weeesley,

There is something in the settings which has gone wrong and you have to reinstall the operating system.

Try the rest of this document performing a new installation of Windows.

    I hope this helps.

  • White screen on Pavilion dv6

Computer worked as expected until everything has started with a screen white when his waking from sleep or now on start.

8.1 to win (all drivers and current software from the upgrade to 8.1) 64-bit running. Only one of something wrong besides the white screen is that the caps button light flashes.

    Hi Colbill,

When you turn on the computer, on which you begin to press F11 repeatedly until the menu opens. If the menu is not coming try perform a reset.

When you perform a hard reset, you must disconnect or remove all devices (USB).

    Thank you.

  • Pavilion dv6 - 3227cl laptop entertainment puts but has only a black screen

HP Pavilion DV6 - 3227cl Entertainment Notebook, which is about 2 years old and works on Windows 7 Home Premium, AMD Vision Premium, will to power, but not start.  The fan works and the "caps lock" flashes once approximately every 4 seconds, but all I get is a black screen with no error message or the cursor.  There are no beeps.  The power led lights (white) for about a second, then turns to a dim orange when the battery is installed, but remains white when the battery is removed.  However, the two lights (I'm not sure what they are for) next to the nearest port USB power light lights up as follows: one on the left (as you are looking at the right side of the laptop) is white; the right one is orange.  Both are fully illuminated, (not vaguely that the power light).  The power light is not as bright as the other indicator white located near the USB port.  The laptop started and seemed to be running once since this problem started, but I was not able to start again.  I'm told the battery is bad (it's my brother in law book), but it is possible that the problem is with the power source rather than the processor or motherboard?  I appreciate your comments/advice about this.  Thank you.

    Hi fejevitzky,

Your question, "according to that, I think you're telling me you don't think it's the BIOS - is that correct?" Yes, as long as you don't see any "white" light reveals LCD bezel back while with the State of the white screen. Bezel LCD's coverage around LCD, most design put modeule LED in the lower corner next to the LCD. While the backlight is not during the boot sequence, which means system doesn't have chance to get BIOS current enforcement program. It also means, he stuck to the condition of the equipment to set up. Normally this motherboard related.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 - black screen on startup, but works using the secondary monitor?

    I use a Pavilion dv6 WV815AV, and I used it for 3 years now.

I tried to start the computer and the fan and lights are lit, but not the monitor.  I tried to plug in my high school, and it's that now treats as if it were the only screen.  I had problems in the past of a few times where I would get past the HP logo, and then there would be a substantial delay where the screen remains black but be illuminated, but most of the time that he would go to the screen connection, and if not, a simple reboot managed to solve the problem.

Thoughts on how should I solve it?

    Thank you!

  • Pavilion dv6-6047 cl: black screen before opening of session in Windows 10

Recently, I upgraded my laptop Pavilion dv6-6047 cl of Windows 7-64 bit for Windows 10-64 bit. The only thing I changed from the original specification (see link below), it is that I bought a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500 GB. In Windows 7, everything was fine, the boot to make up to 8 sec. Now she starts, but stay for more than one minute, stuck in a black screen for the login screen to appear.
I tried to update the graphics driver, but nothing happened.

    The processor driver is up-to-date.

The SSD driver is too far.

I rolled back to Windows 7 and everything went back to normal. And then upgraded to Windows 10 once again, everything goes black again.
Please help me, because my SSD is worthless with a + 1 minute boot.

    Thanks in advance!

  • HP Pavilion DV6-6031eo - black screen (backlight problem)

I ve bought a new laptop Pavilion DV6-6031eo 2 weeks ago, and it worked fine until today.

    The question:

When I turn on the laptop, it starts as usual and the system works perfectly, but the screen is black, so I can´t use it, unless you use another monitor, think I Don t want to. I think it has something to do with the backlight, or perhaps the retroeclairages cable routes.
HP logo at the back of my screen used to light up when I turned on my laptop, but now it s too messed up.

No backlight and no light in the HP logo.

I ve sent an email to HP TotalCare, since I got my warranty (lasts 1 year) and I would like to know if they will cover it.

Hopefully, I will get a response as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

PS: Sorry for my bad English. I m of the Denmark, so it s not my mother tongue.

    Hello

Guaranteed that you have on this model it will cover for you and your English is very good.

  • Pavilion dv6 i3 with Window 7 64-bit. To start the HP logo appears, then I get a black screen

I have a Pavilion dv6 i3 with Window 7 64-bit. To start the HP logo appears, then I get a black screen with a blinking cursor. I ran all the tests start and everything this past. I tried all F8, F9, F10, F11, recovery options with no luck. I tried to start with the ERD Window 7 64 bit I created when I install the laptop. Nothing... I did it with all the disconnected device. No luck. I'm looking for all the options until I re - install windows. I started with the Windows 7 recovery DVD and it reads, but I cancelled the process because it will reformat the hard drive and I expect to work around all the hassels of having settings to reinstall the software, etc.. Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks for the reply. I already tried these steps. I created a bootable floppy that I can get the data on the hard drive and am trying to restore windows to the recpvery of the DVD system that I ordered with the computer. Thank you
