Screen freezes Up from 10.0.2

Since this upgrade, in most of the calls that I do, I'm going to hang up and the screen turns off and frozen. I have to force a restart to run it again. Does anyone have this problem or a fix?

Thanks for posting in the communities of Support from Apple. I see that after your update to iOS 10.0.2, you've noticed that your screen is blank and does not respond to the touch after you finish a phone call. I want to help you find a solution.

As a first step, I recommend that you make sure the area around your iPhone receiver is free of any obstructions. If you use a case or a protective screen that you can remove easily, try to test again with these.

If the problem persists after taking the measures listed above, I recommend that you reinstall iOS 10.0.2 on your iPhone as a next step. Before move you forward, it is strongly recommended that you back up your data. Take a look at this Web site for more information on this process:

If your device turns on but hangs when starting

You can see the logo of Apple or a red or blue screen for a long time during the startup. Try the following steps:

  1. Connect your device to a computer and open iTunes. If you don't have a computer, you can borrow one, or go to an Apple Store or service provider authorized Apple for help.
  2. When your device is connected, force it to restart.
    • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 more: press and hold the sleep/wake buttons and the Volume at the same time.
    • On an iPhone 6s and earlier, the iPad or the iPod touch: press and hold buttons sleep/wake and Home at the same time.
  3. Don't release when you see the Apple logo. Keep until you see the screen in recovery mode now.
  4. When you have the ability to restore or update, choose update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

iTunes will download the software for your device. If it takes more than 15 minutes, your device will exit Recovery mode and you need to repeat steps 2 and 3.

    Try resetting Safari. Close Safari completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the preview pane of Safari until it disappears from the display. Then go to settings > Safari > clear the history and data from the Web site. Then restart the unit.

    When you say factory reset, did your restore as new or from a backup?

    If restore you to the new and the problem persists, I make an appointment with the genius bar and take your phone to Apple and looked at him.

    Recently my Satellite m70-164 started to freeze after only a few minutes of work. The picture on the screen freezes, and a few seconds later, it becomes completely black.

    I agree with you. In this case, even in the BIOS, that it has nothing to do with Windows or a Virus. In this case, it seems to be a hardware malfunction

    I bought this MacBook on the Apple store online a year ago, and I must say it has been a very reliable machine up to now. It starts way faster that any laptop I have ever used before.

    However, recently to update my OS on the 10.11.4 version, my screen freezes randomly. The keyboard and trackpad are both unresponsive.  Closing the cover does nothing either, since the macbook won't sleep normally as it would be. The only solution I had was to hold down the power button to force it to close.  This has been extremely frustrating and made me lose valuable data too.  I ran the Diagnostics of Apple and the only error seems to be the battery issue. It has been said, however, that it should not affect the performance of the computer.


    If someone has encountered this problem, great tips, thank you would be much appreciated!


    Hey, I bought the same macbook 6 months ago, the macbook had several recurring problems, graphic and audio glitches, what happened was, sometimes (for watching movies, or playing games) the screen went black with a red line on the left side of the screen, then after 2-3 seconds screen is returned to normal, and then there was a glitch-audio distortion that attaches after 10 seconds - 1 min.

    If you are still under warranty, go directly to the apple store and request a fix, when I say request, do not be polite, don't bite on phrases like "we will do everything, so you won't have to come back again," go aggressive mode, because at least in my case, be polite did not help, the best thing would be, when it freezes again not turn off it take it straight to the apple store.

    Another thing is, I had a battery problem when running the diagnostics, whenever I gave it to them they said oh "battery is ok, sometimes the tests fail," my argument? If the tests fail how do you rely on them...

    Go and demand, it is their responsibility to fix, 3 and a half months being polite is not done, I'm aggressive and stares at me in 1 week.

    I ve bought a new U400 with preinstalled Vista last week. 2 days ago I ve upgraded to windows 7 32 bit professional when I looked at install windows prompted me that it requires a full install, so I did install a normal full, windows 7 installed normally.

    Now my screen freezes after 5 min and windows go black s and restarts after 3-5 min, I ve downloaded all the drivers from the Toshiba site I ve used the auto detect and installed the drivers one by one and tested if restarting stop s, I reinstalled windows now 4 - 5 times returned my copy to the store and got a new copy of windows DVD , it s the same.

    I recently did a free my Norton anti-virus update to the new version 2011. After this update my computer screen freezes like 1 or 2 times a day. It occurs normally after I put mode "Eve" and go back to using it. After about 15 to 30 seconds, it will freeze sometimes.

    I don't know if it's related but I got a DEP Data Execution Prevention, pop up, but not when the screen froze. I performed a complete analysis of the system of Norton and not detected no viruses.

    I wonder if this new version of Norton has problems with windows? I use my computer for e-mail and the Internet. Do not download music, games ect...

    On your download Norton: I had similar problems and discovered how to do a clean install by getting rid of that most completely in the control panel and task bar completely so we start with the most recent. If you do not buy on line and using the disk, Norton technicians will likely send e-mail instructions since it's their program.  But read on some similar experiences I've had, it might help you.

    I finally got the taskbar, moved to the bottom of the screen, but in the meantime, I downloaded a software called ParetoLogic who claimed that he could fix the taskbar, but he did all the scans and has not set something on the taskbar, so I deleted and kept following the instructions in the task bar and got moved from the task bar.  Then I uninstalled the software called ParetoLogic, my office has begun to gel.  I have to shut down the computer manually, so I contacted the technician on their site and they sent instructions to fetch the menus of tasks that were set to run and the record, but when I finally found the tasks, I couldn't delete them.  I tried to close the Task Manager and he said that I could not close file until all dialog boxes are closed, and I could not find how to close the dialog boxes.  I do not know how to find it after searching for the bar of tasks and answers questions, so I had to click on restart and shut down everything, so I probably lost some information on the way.  I had a computer to lock my CD drive there are several antivirus and anti spyware software, making a few years I used McAfee more Att security program free that they have downloaded with my DSL internet. I didn't know until you have to do a clean uninstall before you try to download a newer version. The control panel will not remove or uninstall all of a program, there are always parts of it, still running in the system, and that's what happens to me today, so, maybe if clean you the old version first, then do a clean with the more recent, install which will probably do.
