  I had a problem with this laptop for the last four weeks.

  One day worked, it normally stops and the next day when I power the screen was dead.

  The fan stands up and lights, caps and numlock function, but not picture.

  There are also 3 days ago, I noticed that if the screen is tilted I can actually see the Toshiba logo at boot and then a few icons on windows 8.

  For what I found online that this laptop doesn't have a UPS because she is LED which requires current DC which is quite a new thing on laptops, I think.

  One thing which I use to to check if there was any kind of output image has been to connect the laptop to the tv, but for some reason, that no picture is via vga or hdmi port.

  That being said I'm reluctant about the fault being the monitor. One thing I'm positive, I can certainly see very dark and with the monitor image tilted slightly.

  I ve never been faced with this problem on my Toshi and cannot say for sure what the problem is here, but my opinion is that you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

  I have Satellite A300-16W 21 months and so far my cooler was also changed HDD, screen was dead (had to be changed to), was to motherboard, then I had the problem with the battery charging and which had to be fixed too. Now, the whole system cracked, blue etc screen. So far, this computer was nearly 160 days for services and I'm really disappointed with toshiba, because this is the worst computer I've ever had. I lost very important data twice because this computer.

  I can understand you, Milosh. It seems that you don t luck with your Satellite A300 but I think that if an individual case. I've ever read in the forum about these problems on the Satellite A300 and friend of me has also the same laptop but without any problem.

  The computer "locked" and then the screen is dead.
  When I turn on and off with the switch, I can clearly hear the computer works (although strangely), but the screen is dead.

  Of course the EPROM module where the BIOS is stored was not flashed properly.
  Something went wrong during the update of the BIOS and the module is bad.
  I suppose that the update procedure using the special crisis disk BIOS help you solve the problem.

  Problem: computer laptop is not starting at all, screen remains dead, only powerlight and fan says he works. No BIOS screen options, no Toshiba welcome screen, nothing...

  Laptop MOBO power. Power light is on when on the current power of light work light Central (illegible icon) is orange, no other active lighting.

  Sounds like motherboard problem if the Toshiba start screen does not appear, it means thet POST (power self test) may not the product, which means that it is a junk motherboard

  I think you need to replace the mobo ;(

  I wanted to just report, I just formatted the entire hard drive and reinstalled from scratch with a different win xp cd (sp3 and sata drivers included), now the gfx drivers work as they should and display works fine.

  Hello. Thanks to anyone with additional ideas on how to solve this problem.

  When the HD3650 graphics card is enabled on my new (bought yesterday) satellite screen is dead. As in, no power at all. Even when I plug in an external monitor. It works in safe mode with VGA however.

  I took the following measures:

  1. reboot with no battery as it is said in the FAQ.
  2. set power-> CPU options minimum power in the form of 5% to 100%
  3 disable the adapter 3650 in safe mode so that I can start the computer normally. Applied BIOS update 3.4, Chipset and GFX all drivers updated. No effect.

  So apart from the usual lack of updates of software and the driver I can't seem to get the GFX card to work.

  Are there other config adjustments or updates that I should try?

  In my opinion there is not a lot of options. You can order parts by authorized service partners or order it from some independent PC shop. Check if you can find a partner in your countries, or maybe someone else (they can send you everything you need to). Another way Google a little bit and I'm sure you'll find someone who can send you a new LCD screen for your laptop.

  On the price I can't tell you much because we walked free and the price is different from one country to the other.

  So, I have this laptop I missed about 4 months ago. Not feed the most. I can press the Start button and it looks like his work, but there is nothing on the screen. • Help! W500 dead. Is update system, restarted itself, makes 3 loud beeps and thats all!

  I just changed my hard drive, stuck in a windows 7 cd, successfully installed. Chrome, dropbox and update system installed. Ran Lenovo update system and at one point the computer restarted itself, made three loud beeps (long followed by two short) and that's it.

  The bluetooth led is on, as it is powered, battery and charger lamps. The screen is dead.

  That's happened? What are these three beeps? What should I do?
