Screen rotation problem

Hey,.

I know I've hit something on the keyboard but I have no idea what and now it won't get a portrait. If I change it in the settings under the terms of the resolution of the screen he turns just for a second in landscape mode and then goes back to the Portrait.

I tired to restart, I tried locking and unlocking the automatic screen rotation, know not so relevant but I have a book of Asus transformer, so is a Tablet and a.

Press Ctrl & Alt keys and use the arrows to rotate back.

According to the graphics card on your computer, these can be alternatives.

Right click on the desktop | Graphics options | Rotation.

Right click on the desktop | Screen resolution | Orientation.

  • Iconia Tab 8 W1-810 W suddenly stopped the automatic screen rotation

    Hello.

I m havving problems with my Iconia Tab 8 W W1 - 810. He suddenly stopped the automatic rotation of screen and now I can´t find the box "Enable rotation of the screen. I have only the chance to put in landscape or portrait, but not in automatic rotation.

How can I enable automatic screen rotation again?

I would much appreciate your help.

    Thank you, Justin!

I tried this, but as I no longer had an automatic rotation checkbox, I couldn t solve the problem.

The solution came through the cat of Acer service. Acer technician Mukesh was very nice and patient, we tried all possible options, but the auto-rotation option was not available, the only way to recover is to install the proposed pilots:

    http://global-download.Acer.com/GDFiles/driver/platform%20Drivers/platform%20Drivers_Intel_10.18.10...

After installing these drivers, I got automatic rotation check box and could solve the problem.

I am very happy that I could solve the problem and very happy with the Acer´s customer service.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

    Kind regards

  • Dell Inspiron 3000 11 screen rotation

    Hello

I bought my computer dell laptop on site (Malaysia), and after a few months using the touchpad seems to not work. Called to them and they sent a technician to fix it on the spot, only to see giving it 2 parts that were not related to the problem (motherboard & keyboard), which has been replaced mine with a new one anyway.

But such has not set the touchpad (in his defense, he said 'they' gave him the parts and he has no idea why), he said he will return to me on the touchpad and meet another day to replace the correct part.

Now I'm not the complaint of writing on the touchpad, but the rotation of the screen. After temporary "fix" it seems every time I tilt my screen sideways or backwards, screen turns as usual. It is, he turns to the original orientation when I tilt it. The technician has no idea how or why he did this and cannot correct this back to normal.

Finally after leaving, did some retouching autour and found 3 methods that worked:

    1. press ctrl + alt + up arrow

    2. change the orientation settings in the Intel HD graphics properties

    3. it's a little weird, I had to open up to the laptop screen so his flat with the keyboard, THEN only the screen rotation works as usual if I cant post any thing.

But these methods did not fix the problem of orientation, its more of a temporary solution, because it will not bow to the original in "portable" mode position

    any help?

go to control panel, display, change the display settings. You will find the control defines the landscape vs. landscape (flipped). change and uncheck the allow screen auto rotation

  • Z10 blackBerry screen rotation... won't.

The screen rotation. . an essential feature of the camera, video, browser, history-maker etc.  Mine do not rotate.  Never, at all.  So I can't use the camera entirely, the manufacturer of the story is beautiful, but useless since I can not get the correct format when I plug it into my TV HDMI, video may not fill the screen.  It remains resolutely in portrait mode no matter what I do. Software updates, full reset to factory etc. Nothing works... and Yes, before you ask, the rotation lock is not on.  Interestingly, this is my second Z10 and my problems have been material, not siftware.  One failed due to an unusable device, this one due to an apparent fault with the gyro thingy that detects orientation.  I could end up just like a user dedicated BB who don't question the Z10 in the box and goes up to his Bold 9790 (that I love).

Finally solved with the help of the BB Support and a security wipe. Why it worked when all otherwise failed I have no idea but he did, but all sensors seem to work.

  • S10 - 3T Auto screen rotation

I got the S10 - 3T a few days and notice that he says he has the gravity setting? The problem is never auto rotates when I put in tablet mode and hold it in portrait mode. Only, it switches the screen oneway when I put it in tablet mode. Everyone is the same? or it does not work when you have it in tablet mode and hold in portrait and switches automatically without pressing the button of the screen on the screen rotation?

It comes with preloaded driver, has been activated.

Go to start > programs > Lenovo > Lenono Screen Rotation > Screen Rotation settings

Turn it on in there. I hope this helps.

  • X 201-corruption graphic on screen rotated (XP SP3)

    Hello

I have graphics corruption problems when using the rotation capacity of 90 degrees with the Intel HD graphics card on my laptop X 201.  The X 201 is under XP SP3 in a docking station connected to two monitors NEC MultiSync EA190M.  The first monitor is connected via VGA, the second via the display of Lenovo to DVI cable port. I use the latest graphics driver on Lenovo's (6.14.10.5273) Web site as well as the latest version of the Bios.  The two monitors are at 60 Hz.

When both monitors are rotated 90 degreees, corruption occurs at the same time with the VGA monitor in normal mode, the corruption occurs only on the second, DisplayPort/DVI connected screen rotated.  Corruption is more noticeable in the Windows of the window header/tail (where the X close App., minimize and are full/partial screen controls), but the corruption of the main window occurs too.

I checked with the Intel site, and they said that my driver has been customized, so I guess I can't use a standard Intel driver.

    Any help appreciated,

    Thank you

    Here's an update.

A new driver was released (6.14.10.5292) that seems to have solved the problem.

  • Portege M400 - screen rotation utility does not

A week ago, I turned the screen to put in tablet mode and noticed that the screen does not rotate 90 degrees automatically as it normally does.

I then pressed the button of the screen rotation so that it would automatically adjust to the direction that the laptop was in. This had no effect.

I was able to rotate the screen manually by going to the graphic properties and you can set up hotkeys to rotate manually onscreen, but is no longer automatically adjusts. I ran the utility of toshiba manually rotation, but it doesn't have an effect either.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Portege M800 - lack of screen rotation function

    Hello

I use my M800 with a secondary monitor, and I would like to rotate the screen so I can view long documents. However, there is no this rotation feature under graphics properties-> display settings. I wonder if the M800 doesn't have this feature? (I believe that chipset Intel GMA 4500MHD offers such a function) I've updated my graphics drivers to the latest version. Is it possible to activate this feature?

    Hello mate

Hmmm maybe it s just a matter of driver that is installed on your laptop
I remember that my U400 (with Intel graphics card) didn't provide such screen rotation on the first day of purchase, but after an update of graphic card driver (I used the page Intel Intel driver) I could find this option in Intel graphics Media Accelerator

I think you should also try to update the display driver

  • The spectrum X 360 screen rotation

Hi, I recently bought the spectrum X 360 with 10 windows, but the rotation of the screen does not work in tent and Tablet mode.

I tried to find a solution for this in the display settings, but this display rotation Lock is enabled and disabled. So I can't even change it.

Please let me know how to activate the screen rotation.

Found a solution: Win + R-> type "regedit" and enter

    The Registry Editor opens.

    Goto-> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AutoRotation path

Check the value of the file if it is 0 rotation will be OFF, if 1 rotation will be THERE.

Reboot and auto rotation will work.

Note: The lock rotation in display settings button is still disabled, do not know why.

Let me know if it helps.

  • Satellite C70 - A - 16 L - screen resolution problem

    Hello

    I recently had a screen resolution problem with my laptop (C70 - A - 16 L).
The max screen resolution which is imparted to me is 1366 x 768, whereas before I think he used 1600 x 900.

I tried the latest drivers, Bios, etc. and have also restored the operating system to a previous backup, as well as a new installation.
I also tried to roll back to Windows 7 (with proper drivers). They all offer the same problem.

This new maximum resolution display correctly - as if the LCD does not deal with the timings of 1366 x 768.
I believe that the Panel is OK and the problem he reports the EDID information properly - to force windows to use the new resolution.

Is there a download monitor.inf file that can be used to bypass the EDID reported by the Panel?

    Kind regards

    Antwist.

If the right to display drver is usually installed everything should be OK.
