Screen update of Windows 8 loading problems

Hi, I have just a slight problem with my laptop. For the last two weeks now, I opened my laptop to see that I have a few updates to install. But whenever I go to the update screen, it will just sit and load load and load. I left a number of times and he would always load. I thought "well I can just update it automatically these things", but then I realized that I spend that loading do. (New user of Windows 8, I had goof.) But I updated before because he had an important update that my laptop needed when I bought it first and it worked fine, but I can't for the life of me get it to load more. I'm just looking forward or is it a real problem?

But is there a solution to this? Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Thanks for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to know that you are unable to install the Windows updates as it says loading. It might be because of the slowness of the internet or windows update components may me corrupted.

Let us try the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1

Try to run that Windows update utility for troubleshooting. See method 2 in Windows 8, which appears in the link below.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2700567

Method 2

Initially, you can run the fix - it. If the problem persists, then try to manually reset the components of Windows.

How to reset the Windows Update components?

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058/en-us

To do: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

Method 3

Try the system to the boot and try to install the updates.  Clean boot helps eliminate conflicts of software that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows. It starts Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.

Note: After troubleshooting, consult this "How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" section in the link above.

I hope this helps to solve the issue. If the problem persists, get back to us. We will be happy to help you.

Why is - it then all these updates are considered "important"?

    Dolfin152,
If the updates are for hardware related items, you can go to the manufacturer's website and install them manually.  Then, run Windows Update and see whether or not they are presented again.

  • Updates the window appear when shutting down, but do not set up the next time you start

The display shows 15 updates of Windows are loaded (installed?) when the machine is stopped.  To restart Windows, the screen indicates "wait" while the updates are being configured.  The icon indicates that the configuration is current, but the screen always said that "0% are completed.  Then, after a few minutes, the screen indicates something as "installation failed; Revenant.  After the message 'return', the machine moves to the usual Windows 7 start page and asking to connect you as usual (which allows me to work on the machine).   So, the next time I shut down Windows, the screen indicates that the installation of several updates continues and is completed in series.  Then, the next time I turn on the machine it asks to wait while updates are configured;  and finally, it "fails to complete the configuration" and "resets" as described above.  What happened several times in the last two days.  What should I do to get this resolved failure?

    Hi BonnieDoon,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. you receive error message during the update by installing the process?

    Method 1

See the Microsoft article below as well as try the steps mentioned and check if it works.

The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista and Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/949358

    Method 2

Restart the computer after you follow the steps above and check if the problem persists, if the problem persists then checks the update is not being properly installed on the computer and then install it manually.

View update history to know which update is not installing.

    (a) open Windows Update by clicking Start , all programsand then click Windows Update.

    (b) in the left pane, click view update history.

    (c) to view more information about an update, double-click it.

Once you know the update's KB number then visit the Microsoft Download and put the number in the search box, download and install the update manually.

  • Window remains white screen after starting windows screen. the system hangs after Mup.sys on safe mode

The title pretty much everything said.

The problem occurred on a fault that Dell Vostro 2510 with the additional option should only do the downgrade of Win Xp (from Vista).  As noted, on normal startup, the system will remain in a blank screen after the Windows Xp "loading" screen.  And on safe mode, it will join Mup.sys and then hang there.

The closest thing that I got from a web search was a thread in forum saying that the official info from Microsoft was that it was a question of Win Xp/motherboard (http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/31874/?o=40 halfway to a post by Bobb Fwed).  The poster provided no link, so I don't know how official his info was really.

    Hello

Welcome to the community of Windows Vista answers.

First of all, we will try if we can start in safe mode.

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Steps to start your computer in safe mode with networking
    1. to start mode safe mode with networking, restart the computer and press the F8 key for about four to five times. You will see "Safe Mode with network" listed in the advanced options of Windows.

    2. Select "Safe Mode with network" and then press ENTER.

Access the link below for more information on how to start in "Safe Mode with Networking":

  • June 16 corrupt update of Windows Vista

I lost internet access and most of the program window features (I'm running in safe mode, which is the only way to connect). The only change was the update of Windows that loaded on 15 June. I tried to restore to June 6, but nothing works. I spent hours trying to solve the problems, Windows programs keep hang up, but I don't get the error codes. I am running Vista SP1. I have a LinkSys Router (whose Windows no longer recognizes) with a Qwest DSL. I had a wireless network set up that worked until today (although I did have the computer since June 15). I have unplugged and plugged everything in and everything rebooted several times. No luck. I downloaded a malware that has found no bugs. In addition, I can't download Windows Defender because the scan MS says that my software is not genuine. I can't follow the instructions for the attachment of validation: the command 'net start slsvc' does not work in safe mode and command prompt does not run under Vista. Any ideas or do I have to pay someone to fix it?

    Thank you.

    Matt,

Thanks for the info on the email... silly me.

I tried to delete the KB, but Windows won't let me delete or recycle... I tried to move the files, but Windows won't let me... I thought that perhaps I did not program enough time, so I let him try to move a file of 25.5 KB for more than 5 minutes and I just the scroll bar as if trying green very hard, but not to succeed. I also tried to delete the files from the DOS prompt, but I get an "access denied" message and it wouldn't let me.

It's been 4 days and I spent more than 10 hours trying different things to get the computer working again, so I'm giving and give to a professional. I guess I understand now why Vista is so unpopular. I never had any kind of problem with XP.

Using a Dell Dimension, reinstalled Vista Home Premium 32 Bit SP1 3 months ago. Hi soleiltan2,

You can access advanced startup options? Follow these steps:

    1. reboot your computer, because it begins to start back press on and hold down F8

    2. it brings you to the Advanced Boot Options screen

If you were able to get to the Advanced Boot Options screen, continue to the third step, if not ignore her and let us know so that we can try other things.

    3. in the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select last known good Configuration, and then press enter

If you have a dual boot aka two OSs on your computer, or for more information about the last good known Configuration, have a look at the link below:

  • Windows Resume loader

I turned on my Gateway laptop today and I get a black screen that says Windows resume Loader

and he asked me to choose between:

    1. continue with system summary

2 Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu.

I don't know even what to choose or how impact either.

I can happen when the machine was put into hibernation and there was a power failure. You can try the option, the hiberfil.sys file might still be there.

    From Darrell Gorter:

The resume loader system is used when returning from hibernation. When the system boots, it checks if the computer has been paused extended or not.
If he was put in hibernation, winresume.exe load and try to mount the hiberfil.sys file. Hiberfil.sys is what has been stored in memory at the time that the unit has been in hibernation. When WinResume attempts to load the hiberfil.sys, it fails (the hiberfil.sys file may be corrupted) so it is asking if you want to remove this hiberfil.sys and start normally, do not attempt to resume from hibernation. It loses any active data that has been stored in this file and not anywhere else. For example, an application that has been opened which gave in it which was not a nullity share also recorded on the computer when the device was put into hibernation.
    Thank you
