SDO_AGGR_SET_UNION fails but SDO_GEOM. Replaces SDO_UNION.

Hi people,

Shares of happy Thanksgiving together. I have a task of aggregation that seemed ideal to try the new function SDO_AGGR_SET_UNION in GR 11, 2 (11.2.0.2). I have two valid touching polygons (among many others) who validate to tolerance of 0.05 meter. When I have union together using SDO_GEOM. SDO_UNION or the original SDO_AGGR_UNION the results are stunning, and the surface of the new polygon is close to two entries. However when I run the polygons of same exact through SDO_AGGR_SET_UNION I return the results - for example a 2004 containing a polygon of entry and a random point of the limit of the other polygon geometry does not.

Errors of aggregation such as this are not exactly anything of the never seen in Oracle Spatial, and normally I would just submit it as a bug. But I'm a little confused when the usual functions of SDO_UNION works fine, but the new SDO_AGGR_SET_UNION function fails. They do not work on the same code base? I always thought that what works for SDO_UNION would work for SDO_AGGR_UNION and now SDO_AGGR_SET_UNION is just another addition to the family of the "unioners". We need treat (and test) the new SDO_AGGR_SET_UNION as a different creature altogether from SDO_UNION? My apologies if that derives in taboo landowners. Looking at the results of my test again once I see that actually SDO_AGGR_UNION does not EXACTLY correspond to SDO_UNION (pretty darn close) then perhaps the idea of family is all wrong?

My opinion at this point is confused on the issue whether to use SDO_AGGR_SET_UNION. It is much faster and much easier on the PGA I'l will admit, but SDO_UNION wins the prize of quality for this task.

Cheers and happy holidays,

Paul

Paul,

This is a very stupid bug that occurs when the sdo_aggr_set_union entrance is only two geometries. I filed a bug: 10382252.

It is more informative than an error message.  If she does not recover, it would be a problem.  You may be able to solve it by installing the latest video driver available.

Hello.  I just uninstalled LR 4.1 and reinstalled using the disc.  There is a 4.4 update I tried to install, but he failed both times I tried.  Message says 'Fail' but without code, etc.  It's 2016 and I use windows 7 64-bit.  Is there access to the 4.1 just uninstall and fresh install 4.4 from the site?  Is the problem 4.1 and 4.4 no longer supported?

You can download LR 4.4.1 including the latest update here:

Uninstall the current version of LR, you have it installed, download LR 4.4.1 installer and install it. I don't know what causes your problem with the update, but that a full installer for 4.4.1 can operate without any problems.

  • Pavilion G6-1203ey: HDD Test FAILED, but can still start Windows

    Hello

I have laptop HP Pavilion G6-1203ey. After installing Windows (7 ultimate, 64-bit) and some drivers on this topic and after several reboots, it hung at the Windows logo and I had to power off with the power button / stop. Then after having turned it on, it gave me the opportunity to fix problems that impede it to start, there let him to restore the computer to a previous restore point and after a reboot, the windows worked again. After that, I decided to do a check of the hard drive just in case.

The hard drive self test ended up with a message: disk full 1 (305). Then, I installed an environment to help HP Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) and made the hard drive from there. I chose the full test options, but it ended quite quickly (in about 1 minute), with the following result:

    Test Drive: 1

    HDD SMART Check: PAST

    Hard drive short DST: FAILURE

    FAILURE ID: PTTU22-5T774L-MFPV4K - 60S 003

    PRODUCT ID: A5Q15EA #B1R

    Hard drive 1

    __________________________________________

    Test drive: FAILURE

    A little more information:

The former owner told me that the original HARD drive was defective, reason for which he replaced with this last year. He said that other than that, no problems with the laptop. Windows works right now and this disc is quite new, so I expect no problems with it, but the results of the tests mentioned above seem to be disturbing. Is there a reason to worry?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I read your post and looked into the ID of failure that you have published on the test runs DST failed. This error indicates a hard disk failure meaning that if it failed there could soon. If everything works I would be given for the backup of your data on a regular basis, just to be sure. You may have a local tech take a look at the hard drive to see how it is at the complete failure.

The screen with the status of the individual subtests was erased and I now just display "Diagnosis in progress - Please do not close this window.", so I can't even report showing real chess.

Since the failed drive is my Windows 7 system drive, I really need to replace soon.

    How should I proceed?

Run Dell diagnostics outside of the operating system - F12 at startup.   Choose the diagnosis.  If the system is under warranty and you notice a mistake from 2000-, record the last four digits and contact Dell support with this number.  They will replace the drive if there is a failure error.

  • forced fsck fails but vmware-vdiskmanager says disc is fine

I'm under Linux Debian Etch in a virtual machine supplied by my employer. Recently, I tried to delete a directory of CLI and GUI and VM Fusion 1.x would die, forcing me to interrupt the process. I finally reduced to the file in question and put it on a directory that intend to leave it there indefinitely. I tried to run vmware-vdiskmanager but in Fusion 1.x, the r repair option was not available.

Today, I had to restart my image of the linux kernel and I was told that the player had been mounted 24 times without running fsck then a check was forced. It gets exactly to 21.7% in this audit and fails in exactly in the same way (see screenshots). I updated to Fusion 2.0.1 and run vmware-vdiskmanager - R on it and he said: ' no errors not found on the virtual disk, ' another Linux kernel 2.6.x - 000001.vmdk'.» I ran a d - defrag that completed successfully, but the problem persists. I'm unable to boot the image because of this problem.

I thought maybe I could use the 2.0.1 new star and mount the drive on my Mac and then delete the file from there, and maybe that will fix it. But if I try to install the 00001.vmdk file, I get the error "could not mount the partitions: the virtual disk is not any partition the host system knows how to ride." If I try to mount the biggest hard file, I get the error "it is not safe to mount the virtual drive.  It can be attached to a suspended virtual machine or power, or it can be inside an instant string. "(Maybe I'm not mount correctly?)

I enclose a cleaning (only attempt) vmware.log file below. If it is not a good way to fix my current VM, is it possible to use vmware-vdiskmanager to copy the content of this image of a new image in a manner that would not have the problem? I have a time machine backup that I can come back, however I can not go back very far or my work is going to be updated. And while the backup will get me the ability to run the image because I get, I'm likely to be in the same boat next time, I need to restart.

    Michael

fsck and vmware-vdiskmanager check the work on different layers. VMware-vdiskmanager verifies that the representation of the Fusion of the virtual disk is consistent; fsck checks the comments file system conforms. It's like the difference between check a drive for errors S.M.A.R.T. and make fsck.

Screenshots can indicate a bad block on the hard disk physical - if the error was limited to the virtual machine, it shouldn't cause Fusion to raise an error. If you look at the end of the log, merge seems not to read the same address and finally gives up. Since we use standard API for reading/writing files, it's probably not a problem with the merger and a problem with the hardware or the host file system.

The biggest file hard is indeed within a chain of snapshot - 00001, vmdk file is a snapshot and depends on the original. Because you are using a Linux host, there's probably an ext2 or ext3 file system. Unfortunately, OS X does not include this, then even if the merger can go "here is a disc", OS X stares at her blankly. There is an experimental ext2 filesystem plugin that would do this job, but I hear it has stability problems.

I think your best bet is either replace the fsck check (not sure if you can do it, but I suppose naively you can) or boot from other media able to recognize the file system (either a live CD or create a new virtual machine and fix the existing vmdk - if you do the last) (, make sure you use the child - 00001.vmdk not the basic disk).

  • Server settings fail but work elsewhere

I tried to get Thunderbird to work on Windows 7 for a few weeks now (not continuous, but I've tried several times during this period.) He said: it could not find the server settings. All parameters to be entered are correct (and checked dozens of times.) The same settings work on the same computer in Windows 8.1 and Mailbird (but I don't) on Windows 7. I checked with my email provider settings and they are correct, not to mention that they match Thunderbird on Windows 8.1 on the same machine.

I tried to disable the firewall of Windows 7, but that did not help. I also tried a second account with essentially the same settings except the e-mail address and that does not work either. Don't know what else to try. Any ideas?

Try to set security outbound for authentication and SSL/TLS for inbound and outbound on "Normal password. The reason why your method fails maybe because the usual guarantee for a server out on port 587 is STARTTLS, not SSL/TLS. Of course, the instructions below may be erroneous, in that case try STARTTLS on port 587.

I have a problem in my ODD, when I burn at the end it says burn failed. But when I test the file was there and it was burnt successfully. my DVD - R drive is a TSST L632H TO03. But when my firmware is TO02, there is no problem, is there another way to get off my to TO02 TO03 firmware? Thanks for your help.

I used Nero, I reformat my laptop earlier but it's the failed message, burned appear but the burn is successful when I insert again in the player.

    Model: Toshiba A210-1AH
    DVD drive: TSST TS-L632H TO03

My request: it back TO03 to TO02 or other advice you can give.

    Hello

The message or notification is created by Nero and not by the firmware.
So it s not a firmware issue.

It turns out that the data on the disk was written correctly it means that the firmware works very well
I have an A210 and this message never took place!

Maybe you should update Nero software or try other drives from different manufacturers.

  • use of dll in the mixed in win 2008 application fails, but the same sequences of app in win 2008 r2

    Hello

Currently we have an application that follows set up, we have a module a [mixed-mode dll] compiled with / CLR Pavilion and we have another module B [native code [exe] which gives access to the module. Application B fails to run on the computer of 2008 victory while the same application runs with errors on a box of win 2008 r2. Its a 32 bit application. The only change that has happened in our env was until recently, we used VS 2008 compilers and so far, the applications ran fine on win 2008 and win 2008 r2 machines. But the application even when it is compiled with VS2010 causes the error to be seen only in a box 2008 victory.

While trying to identify the issue, I tried to create the sample application that has a dll in mixed mode generated with the/clr option, and the content of the dll is just a global function that is exported by using _declspec (dllexport).

The other application I wrote uses the .lib, .h and the dll of the module above to call the global function written. When I run the exe of the application fails with the same error. Just to be clear, that the projects are developed using VS2010.

When I just removed the option/CLR using which is the compiled module the application works fine. Ask you to compile with / CLR, generate a dll in mixed mode is causing problems or if I'm missing some parameters.

The application even when I came to win 2008 r2 env works fine, I even tried to copy projects to win 2008r2 box and tried to run it and it works fine.

Please let me know if I could help in this regard or what cud be wrong in the env or if its sth a known issue. Also was wondering if his being caused somewhere in the Ombudsman (thunking).

Point to note is that control never comes the code I've written, it fails while the modules are loaded even if my observations are correct.

Here is a log of event viewer when the main application crashed...

I am trying to connect via RDC (Remote Desktop Connection) of the SOURCE to the DESTINATION.

    Any thoughts are appreciated.

On the target computer, make sure that Port 3389 is not blocked by a firewall.  If you use Windows Firewall, go to the control panel Windows Firewall, check that "Don't allow Exceptions" is not checked in the "Général" tab, then click the 'Exceptions' tab and make sure there is a check mark next to "Remote Desktop".

You can also ensure that a program is to accept incoming remote desktop connections to raise a command prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd") and entering the following command:
    netstat - year |    find "3389.
If all goes well, you should see the following line returned:

    Hello

Error code confirms a full disk Self Test (dst) failure and would indicate that the drive needs to be replaced - often, the reason for which a failed disk will boot mode safe's just down there is less charge read/write when running like that.
