Second tray

I bought the 2nd tray for my new goal of 8620 HP multi printer.  The printer doesn't seem to be grateful for the status bar.  I find very few instructions on the installation of this plateau. I turned off the printer and then set the 8620 on top of the status bar.  Then I restarted the printer.  When I use the printer menu to go to settings and follow the link to the selection of the status bar, a single bac appears.  In addition, when printing from Mac OS 9, I don't see any option to choose more than one status bar.  Installation instructions are only to define the 8620 in the 2nd tray base.  I did it and it seems to be an appropriate adjustment.

Does anyone else have this working group on the 8620?   He is a 2nd platter sold for the HP 8600.

Hi Keithtx,

What do you meen by there is a 2nd platter sold for the HP 8600?

What is the number of exact product of the tray?

All-in-one printer inkjet HP 8630 range Pro will not accept specifying the second tray for printing shortcut. I like to keep a white shining in tray one and photo paper in tray 2 and made the my HP 8500 Pro for everything that I needed to do is select the appropriate shortcut configured by me to print the photo. Operating system is windows XP Pro.

I want to start by apologizing for not picking up on this on your first post. The 8630 2nd tray print 8.5 x 11 or 8.5x14 paper.

The reason why what impression pictures he says that there is a conflict and if he chooses the main tray is because there is no choice. The printer does not have the ability to print photos from the 2nd drawer. If you're looking to load media into the trays you need 8.5x11 or 8.5x14 in the 2nd tray and other media can be loaded in the main tray.

  • questions of 8600 premium second tray

When you try to set up my second tray of 8600 premium, no matter what I do, the second try works the first time that I put in place and then returned to a plateau.  In order to make it work as I put in place after the first time, I have to pull the tray one inch or so, then she will draw from the top two.  I did everything what the forum said to get two tray to stay in place, but he won't.

I have plain paper in tray two and envelopes into the tray one.  It works as soon as it and then it's the second time, he starts shooting a plate still for the study of pain.  Pulliing on about an inch tray keep the connection so it will draw to try two, but I shouldn't do that. What is an issure of software or a hardware problem?

I turned off the machine, unplugged, taken on the two set, put back in, separates the two tray printer, succeeded him and plugged the printer back in and turned back on and it works once after that as yet.

I paid the extra to have a second tray so that I could make envelopes without having to change the media.  This seems to have been a mistake.  What is the problem with this printer that the second tray does not work as it should? What is the point of having the second tray if it does not work.

Hi, use the option of locking the tray to lock Tray 1.

    1. make sure that the 8600 is on.
    2. tap (right arrow), select Configuration, tap preferences and then select default tray or tray locking.
    3. click on OK or apply after changing settings of the desired tray.

  • Have an Officejet Pro 8610 and realize I do not have a second tray

When I print, the printer automatically pulls the paper in Tray 1. I realize that I don't have a second tray (thought all printers came with a second tray), as I would like to print sheets from time to time. Is there a way to get an auxiliary tray? I checked the driver and it does not resemble a second tray is present.

That's right, it appears. The user guide shows only a single tray.

    Hello

Open Control Panel and go to devices and printers.

Right-click the printer icon, then select printer properties.

    Open the device settings tab.

Assign the form to tray assignment as necessary for the differenct bins.

When you select a specific paper size, the plateau of the target will use according to this setting.

    Hi @Rebecca1978,

    Welcome to the HP Forums

I think I found the answer that you are looking for, and after watching, I understand why you came here for the answer

Page 32 of your printer user's Guide , you will see sandbox Configuration settings, and in the I want... table that you want to follow the instructions of the medium-sized portions to lock Tray 1, forcing the tray 2 to say out of paper when it is empty rather than pull from Tray 1.

Hope this helps, have a great Halloween!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: Part number for second paper for Officejet Pro 8620 tray?

I'll try to find the good second tray paper for this printer.

Some documents quote Ref CN548A HP and others quote A8Z70A. The two look alike, and both refers to the range of 8600.

I bought the CN548A and 'almost' fits, it doesn't seem to work

    Hello @petertow,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you with the correct information for the second paper for your HP Officejet Pro 8620 tray accessory e-all-in-one printer location today.

    • Good reference for the paper tray number is: A8Z70A

The CN548A paper tray is only for the printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. The Officejet 8600 series came out before the HP Officejet 8620 and the 8630 printers series. Therefore, the tray is not universal.

I wish you good luck going forward with this!

  • HP Officejet Pro - second paper tray 8600

My Officejet Pro 8500 Premium printer no longer works. Bought a new printer Officejet Pro 8600, the basic version. Is it possible to reuse the 8500 second tray paper on my new printer?

I can't say with certainty, but a couple of data points suggest 'no ':

    • The part number for the 8600 Officejet and Officejet 8500 extra paper tray are different.  The Officejet 8600 extra paper tray is the CN548A, the 8500 is CM759A.

  • HP laserjet pro 400 m401 dw - how do you get to recognize the second impression tray?

We just bought this printer about a month ago, and we love it, so we bought the second tray (or drawer, however you want to think of it) because my biggest complaint every day is reload the paper trays. WE have tried everything we can think of to get the printer to recognize the second tray and pull the paper away when the first is empty, but its does not work. It's like we bought it for no reason. Anyone know how to make it work? Thank you

You must distinguish between the following:

    • Printer - does the printer itself knows that the tray is present? Check by printing a report 'configuration', or by checking the settings with the built-in Web server. If the tray is not recognized, this implies a physical problem with fitting tray, etc.
    • Of the computer - the printer driver on your system knows that the additional feeder is available? On a system Windows, look at the device settings tab in the printer properties dialog and check the extra tray is set to installed and not installed.

  • LaserJet Pro M225dw MFP: No tray 2 in M225dw MFP

Installed printer works, but all print jobs are sent to the Tray 1 ("default"), but I want 2 set to be the default (at least to use it) because he is bigger and hold letter-size paper I use generally. All installation methods I try, tray 2 is not at all - only Tray 1. How to set for tray 2?

    Hello

The M225 Laserjet do not ave a second tray, so such a will not appear in her hair.

The printer have a main tray and a bin priority above its coverage, priority tray can hold up to 10 sheets of paper.

A tray of priority may not be selected manually and should not be included in the driver, once you place a sheet in the priority as the main tray tray, you must remove any paper then it will use this sheet, which meant only to allow using a different size than usual more easily.

You can track page 17, how to use it below:

  • Printer does not recognize tray 2 as default

OfficeJet Pro 8600 Premium (mac) does not recognize tray 2 as default paper source.   What should do?

    Hello
Follow the steps below to print using a dedicated paper tray:

    1. check that the second tray has been installed correctly. To check this open the System Preferences and go to Print & Fax. Open the print to your printer queue. Click printer setup and in the tab menu choose pilot. Make sure the box next to the entry optional feeder is checked.

    2. starting at the application used to print, click the file menu and select print.
The print window is displayed. NOTE: The print window might be minimized: click the blue triangle next to product model (Mac OS X v10.5 or v10.6) or the button view details (Mac OS X Lion v10.7) to see all of the available parameters.

    3. to select the input tray, click on the area of selection below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    4. Select Paper Type/quality in the menu dropdown.

    5. adjust the Source option as the desired input tray.

You can save the settings for later use by clicking predefined settings > Save settings as a preset. It will then be the default setting to use any other preset.

  • Where can I buy the 2nd tray paper?

    Hello

I try to buy "second tray" accessory Watch herebut can't find it in stores or on the HP site.

Does anyone here know where I could buy go please?

    See you soon

Make SURE that you order the correct 2nd tray for your printer.

The link you gave in your message (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04431577) shows this 2nd plateau, which is different from those offered in other replies.

What specific printer model you have?

  • Printing from IPad or Iphone always goes to Tray 1, but tiroir2 is the default tray.

Product name: OfficeJet 8500 has more

Op systems: Win 7 & Apple Ipad and Iphone and MAC

    Error messages: no

Changes: has never been worked, no change

I have two bins in my printer.  Tray 1 is used for envelopes and tray 2 is the standard letter paper.  Tray 2, is that the default bin for normal printing and works perfectly in my Windows 7 Desktop.Tray 1 is the only one who can handle the envelopes so there is no other choice on what bin to use.

However, when I try to print from my IPad, IPone, or my wife's MAC, printing always goes to Tray 1 which contains only envelopes.

It seems not all options in the IPad or Iphone to select a bin, but I would have thought it would go to the default tray which is installed in the printer.

For this reason, it makes the officejet 8500 more useless a eprint.  I like having the upper tray for envelopes, but I don't know that I would have bought the option two tray if I had know this before time difficulty.

    4. Select the Type/quality paper in the menu dropdown.

    5. adjust the Source option as the desired input tray.

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset.

    • For iOS, Airprint does not support any selection of tray, but only the 1st plateau.

However you can use HP ePrint home & Biz however, taking charge of selection of the status bar:
