Select a burning speed slow, unable to burn CDs in Media Player in Windows XP

Original title: Media Player

My windows media player acted weird lately.  When I want to try to burn a CD, I go through all the steps and when it gets to write the files first songs ends and the rest are not, but then he said burning is complete.  After which an error message saying select a slower burn speed or a new CD.  I did everything what was asked even have replaced the driver.  I'm at my wits end I'm naïve.  Please help, thank you very much.

  • Burning CD with Media Player - can't play on other audio devices

I was able to burn music w/Media Player and CDs are playable on different cd players and dvd players, as well as the PC.  Now, music does not play on a cd player and when I play it on the dvd player it shows different folders rather than individual songs for some of the music and then it will show songs at random. What is new and I wonder why this could happen.  The cd is not yet on the computer. The playlist shows nothing else; all the music files from my music folder, not come from different paths.  I tried old songs that had been written to a cd before burning, but he creates the files for some people too and then will not play on any CD and player when played on the dvd player menu displays of different folders.

Should I try to use another program to burn rather than Media Player? Who will solve the problem? Or what suggestions you have. The music is all mp3.

    Thank you!

What version of WMP are you using?

WMP is probably set to burn data CDs containing MP3s, instead of CD audio real. Most CD players don't recognize the data CD and cannot play audio CDs.

In WMP, right-click on the button burn at the top, then select Audio CD . If now, you burn a new CD, it should be readable by the stand-alone CD players.

Method 3: To work around the problem, go to the location of the files (usually I drag the music to a new folder on the desktop)

Control your music (mp3s), and number them.

Example: "stand by me" becomes "1 Stand by me" and so on.

Make sure no randomization or random playback is set to your burning software.

You can now move your music to the burning software or open the software and select the folder.

That should do it. Be sure to check all the options in the burning software.

Running VMware 8 Workstation, with Windows 7 Ultimate-64 host. I can't burn a CD in the virtual instance. Tested with XP and Windows 7 VM and obtain the same resluts. Recently upgraded to Workstation 6 and had no problem burning CD in any virtual instance. In addition, recently upgraded to a new card mother/cpu, etc, as well.

to use a CD inside the virtual machine to burn CDs, it must be connected as a SCSI device using any legacy emulation.
He has worked in all versions up to end WS 7

In WS 8 there is a bug in the driver CD that appears in the use NOT "legacy emulation.

As far as I know your only option is to use an earlier version or join a CDwriter USB directly to the guest.

I'd suggest a SFC scan to check for problems running:

Since Windows Media Player is a part of the operating system and cannot be uninstalled or re-installed, it's a good option to try.
