  If the default printer is not in offline mode, it will detect the different printer but it will not be a default one.

  We have HP OfficeJet 8610 with additional tray. So, we have Tray1 and bac2. That's what I read in the specs of the printer about how we can use the bins:

  • Loaded into all trays and paper of one of the bins first use
  • Be able to choose plain paper and another type of paper that you use occasionally

  My question is:

  Let's say that we have put the tray 2 as the default tray.

  In MS Word or any other application in layout, you can define special tray (say 1 tray) paper source. This means that the document should be printed on paper from the selected tray (Tray 1). But in our case, the document is always printed using paper from the default tray (tray 2).

  Could you please confirm that this is the expected behavior?

  I understand that you want to be able to print the same document at different trays and change the setting via the Word software. This printer is not able to change the settings of the tray for different pages in the same document to multiple pages.

  To work around this problem, you can use the parameter to "print pages." "Select it print pages selected, then for other pages ' print pages" yet once and then change the parameters of the status bar of the application.

  The application, you can change the settings of the tray for 1 page or a multiple page document. But it will print all pages of the specified tray.

Firefox displays gooblygook, even if the name of file is an html element, the Notepad of Windows crashes, MS Excel does not recognize the file type. MS Word also displays goobblys when the file has no file extension.

  If you use the file printing, then you will get a file that is supposed to be sent to a printer, and this file has any sort of code formatting for this printer.

  Open such a file in Firefox or a text editor can only work if you use one printer for text to print the file to, then make sure that such a printer is installed and selected.

  Try the following: open Adobe Reader go to edit-> Preferences menu

  • under Documents, change "Show the documents in PDF/A mode" Never
  • under the (enhanced) protection, clear protected at Startup Mode

  I'm on Windows 8.  I am not able to print from Adobe Reader XI v. 11.0.07 when I select a document that I could print previously or when I try to print an attachment of email that I just received.  I went through all the troubleshooting steps.  A popup screen displays the name of the file and % complete but then goes to the error message:

  Document could not be printed.

  There are no pages selected to print.

  I found a post from January 2014, but it's not like he was heard.

  A couple of things to try.

  Open Preferences and then change this setting: Edit > preferences > (enhanced) protection > mode protected starting for unchecked. Restart the player.

  And if this does not work, try to select "Print as image" in the screen dialog printer (in point).

  Thanks for the tip.  It turned out that kind Reader has been commissioning in protected mode.  I changed the setting and it prints now as before.
