  • I'm running Windows 8 and I would like to "send > link by e-mail" of Internet Explorer 10

I'm running Windows 8 and I would like to "send > link by e-mail" of Internet Explorer 10.  His option was released as is gray "send > Page by e-mail."  My client messaging on Windows 8 says simply "Mail".  I don't know if it's different from "Windows Live Mail".  Everything I see in the forums says I have to choose "Windows Live Mail" as my email client.  I found that "Windows Live Mail" part of Windows Essentials.  So, I don't know if the "Mail" client is the same as "Windows Live Mail" and there is another problem with me being not able to "send > link by e-mail," or if I need to install "Windows Essentials" in order to get the "Windows Live Mail".  Also, FYI, I am able to send a link by e-mail to Firefox and it uses my client "Mail" in Windows 8.

Right-click on the page, E-mail with Windows Live.

An outlook.om compose the page opens with the address of the page in the body of the message.

You should highlight the address and make it a link.

The icon of the letter is in the toolbar of the control.

It opens with an e-mail program.  Mine opens Windows Live Mail.

    Hello

I think you have to the default configuration by email first means that you can use only 1 account, Gmail or Yahoo, not both. In my case I use Outlook as my default e-mail client/agent, so when I click on "Send link" repel open my Outlook as shown:

My suggestion is to open a window Live account and you can use Internet Explorer to send links through this account without any required expansion.

  • Flash Drive causes Windows Mail Crash when send link by E-mail is selected in Internet Explorer

I am running Vista Home Premium 64-bit on an HP Pavilion laptop and a curious problem.

When I have a flash drive into a usb port and when using Internet Explorer 8, click "send link by e-mail", I crash Windows Mail... the usual error message "stopped working" and "restart".

I don't have this problem in any other circumstance.

If anyone has any ideas on this, I'd be fascinated for feedback.

    Thank you!

    Peter

    Hi Petergoode,

    A. Since when do you use this question?

    B. recent changes made on your computer?

    C. This only happens with this flash drive?

    D. is - what happens on the other computer also?

    Try the methods below.

Method 1:  Check your drive for errors

Follow the steps in the article. Choose the Flash DRIVE instead of the hard drive.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors

Important: When running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area so all available data on this risk to be lost

If the problem persists, you may back up your data and format the flash drive, and check the status.

    Method 2: new user account

    1. Open a user account by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click user accounts and family safety (or by clicking on user accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking user accounts.
    2. Click Manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. Click create a new account.
    4. Type the name that you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click create an account.

  • Cannot send the link to the web page by e-mail

Windows 8 doesn't let me send a link to the page by e-mail. In Vista, it's easy, click just to the right, click on send link by e-mail and it used my e-mail program, no problem. Not the case with Windows 8 and Windows Live Mail. If I right click on the page, it evokes a box that has "email with Windows Live", which seems to be the right choice, but it just takes me to a connection to Microsoft, the same one that I use to get in these forums. How the * is that it will get to my email? I don't have a login to my email. I use a shortcut on the lower tray to open it. You're talking about not intuitive. Why can't they just leave things alone? No one at Microsoft ever heard the expression "if it is not broken, don't fix"? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

When you click on this link send by email, you will be directed to the Outlook.com site where you can complete the action to send the link.

Outlook.com is the new interface to all living products, including Hotmail and Live Mail.

To connect just type your email address and password. The send email window will open and you can enter the e-mail address of the recipients and send the email.

  • How can I send pictures to my e-mail account to the cell phone of others?

I have a request to send photos to someone who uses their smart phone and I do not have pictures in a phone; only on my PC. Can I send pictures of this person's mobile phone? They gave me their number. Thank you

It is possible to send a text message (SMS) to a phone by email (look for "sms e-mail gateway"), but I don't know if you can join this way, i.e. MMS pictures. The simplest method would be for the recipient create an e-mail account on the phone. If they can't or won't, but they can access the web via a browser, I guess you could upload photos on one of the free file hosting services photo and send them links using the email-to-text method mentioned above.

  • Send a link

How can I tell IE8 to send a link in Outlook using HTML instead of text?

Are you referring to the function of Internet Explorer: Page, link to send e-mail?  If so, this isn't really a question of networkworking, it is a configuration setting in your default email client (Outlook).  You should find the default sending format in your Outlook options.

  • I can't send a file when I send a link - nothing happens.

I see a file from a magazine I want to send to some people.  I go to the file and press send a link and I cannot send anything.  What can I do?

If the link of the menu is dimmed, nothing happens you may need to set up a default e-mail program. I use ie9, for do I go in the menu Tools-> Internet options-> tab programs-> slot "Internet programs" click the buttons "set programs." Together, you default e-mail program.
