Send data to classic bluetooth devices

Hello

I want to develop an application for smart phone blackberry that can retrieve data from the directory and send it to other classic bluetooth with phonebook, in a way to push devices (asking the peer to receive rather than requested by the peer to send).

Is this feasible? What QAnywhere or sample code shoud I look in?

What is the basic requirement on the phone model, os version and the specification of the peer bluetooth device?

Thank you

Ken

Hi Ken, welcome to the forums!

All of the BlackBerry Java API contains for some protocols Bluetooth that could be used to transmit data to other Bluetooth compatible devices. The BluetoothDemo is an example provided with early versions of the BlackBerry Java SDK and should support most of the Bluetooth devices (OS 4.0 +).

Kind regards

    Hi AnaSk,

    (1) since when are you facing this problem?

    (2) remember to make changes?

The Code 10 error applies mainly to the problems of hardware driver and devices or compatibility problems between the drivers of equipment and additional software that is installed in Windows.

Download and install the latest drivers from the computer's network adapter or the website of the manufacturer of the device.

  • No "send to bluetooth device" available after Windows 7 upgrade

Bluetooth file transfer option is not available, or for adding devices blutooth

i ' v just upgraded to windows7 windows vista Basic. I had been using bluetooth file transfer of files without problem with vista, but now the problem is that I can't find a way to transfer files via bluetooth. When I click on a file and scroll down to the option "send to", "bluetooth device" option is missing. or find a way to add bluetooth devices to my cmputer... Infact, I can't find any option associated with bluetooth! My cmputer has a built-in bluetooth adapter. Wat do I do? Help!

I had the same problem, however, I got the solution on a forum. First in windows, search for a btsendto_explorer.exe research program and create its shortcut on the desktop. Now open the following C:\Users\...xyz...\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo folder and drag the shortcut into it. Rename the shortcut in bluetooth. Enjoy... its done.

  • My Blackberry Storm device compatible blackBerry Smartphones cannot send media from other bluetooth

    Hello

I have a Blackberry Storm Touch Screen phone. I am able to pair a bluetooth device different however when I'm trying to transfer some ringtones Mp3 or other files from Sony Ericcson or Nokia bluetooth phones is to send a message that unable to retry transfer.

Can someone help me please on this. I am able to pair but unable to send or receive files

What is the process to do that we need to have any software installed

Nope... it's the procedure. Both devices must be involved. I advise that they mark again each other as trusted. Then, on the BB receiver, you need to do the "Receive using BT" command and then only Initializes the sending of the transmitter unit. This is how it works. The error "Failed to find the service" is documented as happening when the exact steps are not met. Most people skip the step of "Receive using BT"... without it, nothing will happen.

  • Check out Get the address of the Bluetooth device list

I have two series Bluetooth devices both send numbers to pc.what I want to know is how to get the address of the list of devices Bluetooth discover bluetooth device then use to connect to the first device read data log and connect a second device.

    Hello Aymanch,

The Bluetooth Discover VI will be released a cluster with devices within the range of your network, where a feature will be the address and the second part will be the name of the device. You can then use the address as an input for the VI of open connection and then pass this reference reading VI and close connection VI.

If you want to see an example of how to get the address of the cluster and how to use these screws, please open the example Finder and search for Simple Bluetooth project. The Server.vi shows how to unbundle the cluster and the Client.vi shows something similar to what you want to accomplish. Because you are going to use two devices, you can even use a loop to repeat the operation on the two addresses.

  • Choose a printer as the Bluetooth device to connect to

    Hey guys,.

I use the following code (with success) to start sending data to a printer:

          BluetoothSerialPortInfo[] bluetoothSerialPortInfo = BluetoothSerialPort.getSerialPortInfo();
            StreamConnection streamConnection = (StreamConnection)Connector.open(bluetoothSerialPortInfo[0].toString(), Connector.READ_WRITE);
            DataOutputStream o = streamConnection.openDataOutputStream();

However, the above code only takes the first Bluetooth device and connects to that. Is it possible to get some info on who's on the other end?

    (a) is a printer or another type of device?

    (b) if it is a printer, what model?

    See you soon,.

    Pav

... and here is the solution!

    Iterate bluetoothSerialPortInfo [] checking:

    bluetoothSerialPortInfo [i] .getDeviceName)

It should have the printer brand and model :-)

  • Cannot send a file via bluetooth

I sent music files via bluetooth from my pc to mobile for a long time. But today when I did it, the phone came with the message asking me to accept the data. The two devices are connected, but after I click on send via bluetooth to "xyz" nothing happens at all.

    Hi Qureshi,

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. is specific to this particular phone question?

This problem may be caused, if the Bluetooth service is not running or because of corrupted system files.

Here are some steps that you can follow:

    Method 1:

Install the latest drivers for your phone, on your computer. Drivers for phones are usually included in the suites of PC, created by the manufacturers of mobile phones.

    Method 2:

Follow these steps and check if the Bluetooth support Service is started.

    (a) press the Windows key + R, type services.msc and press enter.

    (b) right click on the service named Bluetooth support Service.

    (c) check if it is started, otherwise click Start.

  • Help for installing automated multiple bluetooth devices?

Hello! I would like to describe our situation. I maintain computers for our local ambulance service.

We have five ambulances. Everyone has a Logitech Bluetooth mouse and a Pentax PocketJet 3 Bluetooth printer.

All the mice and printers are the same model.

We have three from another manufacturer Toughbook CF-18 portable systems that use Toshiba Bluetooth stack.

The books are transferred from an ambulance to the ambulance, ambulances are used that date.

In addition, our policy is that portable computers use a local account with rights to base level 'user '. They cannot add their own bluetooth devices since they are not administrator or power users.

Therefore, we must ensure that none of the three computers will work with any of 5 mice and 5 printers.

I then have to wear each of the three books in each of the five ambulances and manually match each notebook with 5 mouse and 5 printers so that all laptops can be used in an ambulance.

I don't like that I have to add each device, but I don't like that I have to do this manually on each of the 3 computers, and I bring the computer in a nearby physics eahc peripheral (or each device to the computer)

This seems wrong! I have an inventory of the bluetooth address for each of our 5 mice and printers. You can a device add manually in a way, thanks to a script or command, so he don't need no need to be in physical proximity with the mouse or the keyboard and create a match?

Ideally, I would like to do ith through a batch file, so I don't have to go through a repetitive cycle of point and click steps...

    Thank you!
    mtoal

You cannot associate devices if they are not around, because the encryption key will be computed and stored on the host Bluetooth module and the module Bluetooth client (mouse and printer in your case).
You can of course also configure your mouse in limited user mode if the HID drivers are pre-installed. I think that this is the case by default. Just try it. If this isn't the case, then just edit the file "As.ini" from the Bluetooth stack to pre-install the HID drivers. You can also set in 'Tosbtutl.ini' of the following before installing the battery Bluetooth.

    [AutoSave]
    HID = Enable

It will start searching for devices (mouse, keyboards) HID when you start "Bluetooth settings".
Assume that you have configured the same on your laptop, then on two laptop mouse.
You must press the button of the mouse detection again and click on the mouse icon depending on BT-settings for the mouse work again on the one laptop computer. This is because most mice do not support multi-point connections. If it is supported then it is not necessary. However, it is not necessary to set up a second time.

Bluetooth profiles are supported by your printer (SPP and HCRP)?

  • Sends data from LaunchPad MSP430G2553 Labview

    Hi all

So, I have a MSP430G2553 LaunchPad and I want to be able to send data to Labview via USB to UARTusing.

What I do in the MSP430G2553?

Well, I wrote code that whenever I press a button on the LaunchPad it I send hollow text USB using UART. Using a program on my PC that monitors my serial port, I can confirm that, whenever I press the button, the text comes to the PC. I was also able to send commands to the monitor (it has a 'send the command' field) to the MSP430. If the connection works fine, between LaunchPad and PC.

    What I did in Labview?

On the piece attached "" Labview_MSP430. "» JPG"you can see my code. Whenever I click on the "VISA resource name" there is no COM. It is said that "Refresh", and even when I click on it nothing happens. As you can see in the file "Device_Manager.JPG" PC can see my device in COM3 MSP430.

So my question is, what should I do for Labview can see my device COM3/MSP430G3553? And then, my correct code so that it can read the port series?

What is important is that the com port is visible in MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer) and for the port is visible, you must install the driver NI-VISA.

In your code, you must also add the VISA configure the Serial Port. Replace the VISA open with her. Inside the loop, you should not use VISA bytes to the Serial Port. The msp code must be set up to add a newline of endpoints (i.e.) and simply set the number of VISAS read of bytes to an arbitrarily high number. Playback will be automatically terminated when the character is detected.

    2. install the latest driver for bluetooth (Atheros 8.0.1.316) of http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers.

3 Bluetooth detects attached devices at first then suddenly not connected after a few seconds. I tried to send and receive a file, it works fine.

    4. in windows 8, whenever I connect it is a window will open where you can view the files from a device connected to my PC. This disappeared in windows 8.1.

    5. can I search the web for solutions and tried applying thos mentioned here:

    a. http://community.acer.com/t5/Notebooks-Netbooks/Acer-V3-571G-Bluetooth-not-working-on-Windows-8-1...

    http://www.wiknix.com/solved-Bluetooth-device-not-working-in-Windows-8-1/ b.

6 restarted my PC, tried (a.) above, press Fn + F3 once on at logo and the spinning of Acer points.

7 activate my bluetooth... NOW BLUETOOTH CANNOT DETECT ALL DEVICES MORE.

    8. don't restarted my PC, tried (a) above, press Fn + F3 two times, not good, rebooted, tried 3 times, still no good!

    9. (b), but it still does not work. I can't detect all devices.

    10. I tried to uninstall the bluetooth driver on the Device Manager and to uninstall Atheros Bluetooth + WLAN on programs, rebooted and then install Atheros. Still, it cannot detect bluetooth devices.

    11. system restore I've tried, on the normal mode and mode without failure, but system restore always display an error on not access the file because of the antivus... but I've already uninstalled my antivirus and disabled windows defender and firewall.

    Help, please.

Now, I solved the problem. The problem is actually the old version of bluetooth suite could not be uninstalled when you uninstall in the devices or uninstall atheros bluetooth Manager suite + wlan in windows uninstall program. I solved the problem by following the instructions on this link: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-hardware/unable-to-uninstall-atheros-blu...

And then install the following bluetooth 8.0.1.316 I got to asustek site.

    Thank you by the way.

I just want to check, your Bluetooth device work?  Or it works and you are just be notified?  What brand is your Bluetooth device and what type of computer you are on?

Have you went into Device Manager to verify that the drivers are all up to date?  Go to start-> Type "Device Manager" in the search field-> select device-> you Manager see no yellow exclamation for one of your drivers?  If so, right click and select "Update".  If the driver is already updated, and then select uninstall.  (You may be prompted to restart)

If you are not prompted to restart, click again on the device and select 'Install' please let us know status.  Thank you!
