  It is possible that you downloaded the demo of creative cloud of Lightroom. The perpetual license key will not work. Uninstall the version on the second computer, it doesn't bother your catalog, preferences and personal files.

  Unfortunately there is no way that I know to get the serial number of a Mac installation.  With an installation of Windows, there is the Belarc Advisor, which can be used to obtain the serial numbers of the installed software, but there is no equivalent for Mac, I know.

• Fireworks CS5 - no serial number?

  Hi, 3 years ago I bought a copy of Fireworks CS5 from a dealer who in turn it from another provider. I have a DVD, small box of product with a sticker of holographoc (and a 18 digit code) & email with the invoice from the dealer.

  At the point where I had problems with the serial number and so has never loaded in demo mode on my old computer, was what I required with the program, put in a drawer & quickly forgot about it.

  It turns out that (it seems) that I never actually got a serial number or redemption code from the 3rd vendor of party (which no longer exist) & the company that I paid money for cannot help, because they can become is no longer the serial number of the supplier out of business.

  I tried the "find your serial number" page on the website of Adobe, but they are not helping me. The closest thing I have serial number is authentic Adobe holographic sticker with a couple of bar codes and a 18 digit code that looks like it should be the serial number (but apparently is not).

  First question, if I don't have a real serial number & cannot come into contact with the original resellers, is there something I can do?

  Note, please don't tie me to help code them redemption or to quickly find your serial number - I finished in these pages several times, but they do not help in this case, none of the numbers I have are 24 digits long.

  Second question, if I can't get my original serial number (that I already paid money for that is), is there a (legitimate) way to buy a new serial number for Fireworks CS5 disk I have? All I want is Fireworks which is discontinued & I don't want a subscription, would be quite satisfied with the version that I have - if I could make it work.

  We ordered a lot of new Optiplex 3010 for business.  We also clarified Adobe Acrobat XI which only comes through via digital distribution Dell now.  If we do not get a disk or card serial number more.

  Well, since Dell has not distributed the Adobe key cards, where I'd get a different serial number from?  I imagine that the figure was used in the original image.  However the Dell digital delivery check the service tag that the PC is allowed for Adobe and it should have taken care of this.  So what do I do here?  In the future if we do not choose this method and instead go through another retailer for Adobe Acrobat Standard XI, then we have a CD and key card for each computer that we deploy, although its much more expensive... spoke vs $150 $50 add it for her when customizing your Dell computer.

  We legitimately paid for it.  In the round previous to the Optiplex 3010 when we could order Acrobat X standard, we had a key card.  After sysprep I would run a script (AAMEE was installed in the default image) to change the serial number via the command line.  But now Acrobat XI is different and I don't know what to do.  Dell is not still give us an option for Adobe X more, otherwise I would have just used this version which worked well.

  Sorry, I can't help. But it seems that you should go with a dealer that would offer you a volume license which would have been much less a hassel. You may contact Dell and return Acrobat you bought and go with a volume license.

• No serial number for FB4 - help!

  So, I talked to 5 (.. .andddd now...) (6) adobe phone reps and lost almost an entire day on this issue, so please forgive my tone when it exists.

  -I own CS4 Web Premium (which I was told by everyone - my boss, forum posts, all 6 phone representatives - that it is bundled with Flash Builder 4 separately, if I choose to install it)

  -There is only a CS4 download on the website of licenses (no FB4) so I installed the trial (which has expired since)

  -I enter my CS4 Web Premium series and it does not work: "this serial number is not valid for this product."

  -J' tried to reinstall the software and enter the serial number with the installation and get the same error.

  I talked to all adobe phone support Dept. It is including sales and no one can help me.

• Failed to register the serial number for my Adobe Photoshop CS6 ID

  I have a copy of Photoshop CS6 extended, that I installed it on a desktop and a laptop about 3 years ago.  I am trying to replace the old laptop with a new one.  I deactivated and removed the old laptop of Photoshop and installed successfully on the new.  It is approved and works now.

  However, I seem to not be able to save to my Adobe ID this copy of Photoshop was purchased boxed with distribution medium of DVD, without going through the download of Adobe, shaped so I have no purchase or download history associated with my identification code Adobe section "Registered products" web site says "you have not saved products.  But when I try to use 'Save an older product', it rejects my serial number as invalid (with or without a hyphen).  I get the message "Please enter a valid serial number.

  Now, I just use this serial number to install Photoshop on the new machine.  It must be valid; the installer must have checked before proceeding with the installation.  The installer asked me to connect to my Adobe ID, and her newly installed Photoshop has already activated the first time I ran it, then Setup must have also selected using my identification code Activation Adobe should not have the effect side to record the serial number of my Adobe ID?  Besides, shouldn't it have saved buying 3 years ago when I first installed it on both original machines?

  Update: problem solved.

  Sheena from Adobe raised the issue in question.  The Adobe ID of a member of the purchasing management of my business, which of course also managed buying and registered this copy had already been registered.  So I do not need to save it and cannot in any way.

  A suggestion to Adobe web site developers: If someone tries to enter a serial number that is already registered to someone else, the error message should say something like "this serial number is already registered.  What he says now is "Please enter a valid serial number" without explaining why the existing number is not valid, and it is easy to interpret this message saying that the serial number is not a good Photoshop serial number at all.  That's why I thought it was a problem to end Adobe rather than looking for someone within the organization who had already registered.

  (Yes, it would have also been nice if company internal communication told me who managed the purchase, and that they had already recorded this serial number.  But everyone is busy, and I do not have this information, then all I had to work with, it was the (confusing) error message).
