Series Photosmart C300 Installer fails

I can't install the Photosmart C3100 series on my Mac Book Pro software. Here is a screenshot showing my progress of the installation. The installation seems to be entering a cycle of error when it asks if I want to participate in surveys of HP - answer either Yes or no back the installation wizard to the position as shown on the screenshot.

Can anyone help please?

What version of Mac OS X?  Are you SURE that the software that you used is compatible with it?

My problem began simply with your printer, a HP Photosmart C4780, who has always had a wireless connection and would not print.  Initially, the checked network connection fine control panel of the printer.  I ran a Microsoft printer troubleshooting, which found a block in line print and authorized.  The first test page print, but did print the "internal test page.  I did not understand what it meant, so I looked for help on the HP site.

I ran the HP print and Scan Doctorand he suggested I have reinstall the driver.  I have downloaded and saved the current HP (PS_AIO_06_C4700_USW_Full_Win_enu_140_175.exe) and then uninstalled the existing driver.  When I tried to install a new, a window pops up saying "the system cannot find the file specified," with only a single box for click that simply says "OK".  The installation went through 'examining installation options', after entering "check updates, download updates, install updates" and then it was all in "audit system", who jumped out of the window "file not found" upwards, and when I clicked 'OK', the installation window as well as the error message box simply disappeared.  Which I suppose is the path to the file is under the window, but it didn't fit so he showed not the end.  What I read was "C:\Users\... \Local\Temp\7zS588E\Setup\.\Setup\hpzpnp40...»

I found a topic on the same printer model for the same problem in the forum, which offered this hotfix:

You must first complete a level 3 of the software uninstallation. I've included the steps below to do this.

    1. press the Windows key and the letter R
    2. type %temp%, and then click OK
    3. open the 7z folder (a more recent if there are multiples)
    4 open the util folder
5 open the folder of the ccc
    6. double-click on the Uninstall_L3

Once you have completed the Uninstall_L3, delete all of the items listed in the temp folder. Note, you will not be able to remove all the elements, please ignore those that do not. Then please empty the trash and perform a clean boot. I've included the document «How to perform a boot in Windows» If your computer does not request it, restart your computer.

Once your computer is back, you must reinstall the printer software. You can do this either by using the Setup CD, or by downloading the software.

I did what was suggested, until he got to the point where it says it was the case recommend not removing any more items if I had intended on using the HP Officejet printer (Yes, I have a second HP printer connected to the network) anytime in the future.  Not really understand how it all works, I decided to stop what I was doing, so unfortunately it has not solved my problem.

Do I need to uninstall both printers HP before I can reinstall a?  And if I do that, is there a reason that I wouldn't be able to reinstall the two printers?  Looks like I'm asking trouble.  Bottom line... I can not install the driver.

I tried to install the full versions and the driver base and still get the same result.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 - 3100t for computer laptop, running Windows 7 Edition Premium, version 6.1.7601 family service pack 1 64-bit.  I have not installed new hardware or software.  This printer has always had a wireless connection.  The router I'm using is a Netgear 54Mbps WGR614 v6 (provided by my cable company) and the network includes not only my laptop and the Photosmart printer, but also desktop ASUS, HP printer, an Officejet 6300 series (used only for printing graphics and photos via a wired to the router) and a chip on Vizio TV.  I use Norton 360 first Edition and disabled the antivirus auto-protect when I downloaded and tried to install the driver.

Help, please!  And thanks in advance for your time and your attention.

Oh, Jamieson, it worked!  I can print again!  A massive amount of thanks and congratulations to you.

I couldn't believe it when he actually passed the point where it normally would stop the installation, but then almost at the end, upward jumped «Fatal error during installation»  My excitement sank into a depression.  He said while the installation was not successful and he needed to collect information in order to diagnose the fault.  I looked at what has been collected, and it was more or less gobblety-* beep * for me.  There was a code of 19714722 error condition, if that means anything.

Then he placed on my desk, the "Error of Installation HP - Windows 7.hta" file and instructed me to do away with the current window, restart, and then open the file and move forward with these guidelines.  I did and he basically had me to restart the computer once again, and then turn the printer off, unplug the printer, then unplug the router, wait 30 seconds and then plug the TAA - DAA and back in, I'm back in the business of printing.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

All the best to you and yours!

  • Photosmart 7520 installation fails

I recently bought a Photosmart 7520.  Printer installs easily on Windows 7 Home machines, but fails to install on my Windows 7 Professional machine.

After you run the Setup program on the disk filled OR run the installer from the HP Web site, I simply can't the printer to install a wireless network connection.  Execution of the resolution of network connection problems, as suggested by the installation of the software does not have a working solution.  According to print the printer network connection diagnostics, my network connection and settings are of excellent and configured.

    Printer model: Photosmart C4780

Operating systems: Mac OS 10.5 and 10.6

    Method of connection: USB

Wireless network: Time Capsule from Apple (802.11b/g/n) and Apple AirPort Extreme (802. 11 b / g) with WPA/WPA2 Personal security and local access control (MAC filtering)

Problem: Try to set up a new C4780, I installed the software on three computers HP run two versions of Mac OS X.  I placed the C4780 next to two different base in the AirPort network stations.  I have the MAC address of the C4780 in each base in white list stations.  I tried also turn off all the access control and all the network wireless encryption/security (briefly).  I even tried to connect to my neighbor networks.  In all cases, the C4780 was connected to the computer via the USB port and the HP installation wizard has been run.  'Select Network' page, the list shows both of my base stations (with the same SSID) as well as two networks in neighbouring houses.  Any network is selected, the process "in search for the network" succeeds forever.  On some attempts, a dialog box shows the network is out of range (even if the base station is the printer inches), but most of the time the "network search" process runs indefinitely.  I looked in the newspapers of the two my network of base stations and found no attempt to connect from the MAC address of the C4780.  Light on the C4780 Control Panel indicates that the wi - fi radio is on.

I don't see any explanation other than a faulty radio in the C4780.  Any other ideas?  Thank you.

I don't know why you have two airports and if they are configured to play well with each other, but...

We will use the WPS from your printer and 8 function:

Start the WPS process from the front panel of your printer (network menu). Then:

    Open Apple Airport utility
    Select your wireless router
    Select Manual Configuration
choose Add Wireless Clients... in the menu of the Base Station
Select the first attempt, and then press to continue.
You must begin the process of Apple Add Wireless customer within 2 minutes of starting the printer WPS push button method. In fact, the order doesn't matter... you can start the process of adding on the Apple start router Wireless Clients then method push-button WPS printer.

Your printer will now be connected to your router. Now all you have to do is install the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax by clicking on the button «+» Find the instance of your printer with "Hello" next to it and click "Add" when it becomes available. "

  • Photosmart Premium C410a: driver installation fails repeatedly wins 10

Network printer on the local wifi network.  Became the busy error scan after reclassification of Win7 to Win10, did not know that was a problem known to HP, so uninstalled the printer drivers and downloaded the latest version of the driver, went to reinstall.  It happens on the screen "I agree", and when I click Next, it flashes "Remove HP software" and closes.  Tried several times.  Checked if it has been set to the private network, it is.  Tried the HPPrinterInstallWizard, it downloads the same driver, take me up to that point, and when the installation fails it curls back and begins to do the same thing everywhere.  Tried the HPPrinterandScanDoctor, it does exactly the same thing.  And of course, HP don't talk to me because my printer is not new.  I even tried the old software CD (2012), it loads and says: "Welcome Back! • HP 7310: HP 7310 all-in-One Driver installation fails on Windows 10

I was thrilled to see that HP had a version of Windows 10 recommended its full printer driver, located at 7310

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=MP-110183-3&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en...

As with most HP stuff and most of the things Windows, however, my pleasure was short-lived. I started the installation (after choosing "10 64-bit Windows" option) and everything seems to work as I remembered, and the installer even got to the point where he discovered my network printer. But then this black popup appeared in the corner of my screen saying "your app does not work with Windows 10". The idea behind spoke of how the application was using the old protocols or something which would be harmful to the computer. In the end, the installation failed - the 7310 HP does not appear in my series of printers installed. Total disappointment, I have come to expect.

In the notes for installing HP says "If you only want the print (without the Photosmart Software Suite) driver, it is available as a separate download named"HP Deskjet basic driver"." In fact the pilot "baisc" would probably be all that I need. But alas it is unconnected with this driver and search both using the internal HP AND visa search engines search gives nothing.

Anyone with ideas? HP driver has been updated 29/07/15 so this isn't old stuff. Thank you.

So here's my solution. First of all, you get that you shouldn't be disturbed by installation failure message when you install this package on Windows 10. There are nine steps of installation and the ninth is to install a "Bing toolbar' or something like this. This is apparently an attempt to install a toolbar in Internet Explorer. The failure occurs because there is not Internet Explorer on Windows 10. This failure would have nothing to do with the failure of the connection to the printer.

The solution is to install all the updates of Windows 10 before trying to install the HP driver software. I have two identical machines brand new with Windows on them factory installed 10. I have tried to install all the stuff before waiting for updates to Windows, and that was the one where I failed... the part 'add a device' on the first installation went well and has print a list of the activities of the network in its effort to talk to my printer, but in the end, it failed and I got the big red 'X' on the final schedule which appears (the 'X' was between the router /) portrays switch and the printer). After the updates of Windows on this computer, the installation was successful. Then with the second machine, I did the updates of Windows first, and on this machine, the HP installation was successful the first time.

It could also be that it's specific hardware; It is possible that my Windows updates included an update from the manufacturer of my particular network interface, for example, and the network interface driver was the problem. My machines are the two model PowerSpec G415 computers to office who have a "Killer Z97X" mainboard ASRock, which I'm guessing that contains the material of common Intel chipset. In any case, good luck with that to all who follow in my footsteps. This one seems to have a happy ending for me at least.

  • DeskJet 3720: Driver Installation fails

Base driver sw installation fails with the following error:

Call to DriverPackageInstall returned error-536870329 for package ' < C:\Program HP HP DeskJet 3700 series\DriverStore\YetiV4\hpygid20_v4.inf

Thanks PCalaminci. I got exactly the same error and same configuration (Win10 x 64 with bitlocker active). The solution is as PCalaminci suggests: temporarily disable the driver signature digital verfifaction (looks like HP delivered a driver with a valid Publisher unknown/no signature that is the cause of the installation of the bomb).

Note: To temporarily disable checking of driver (on Windows 10) signing it is easier...

    1. In Windows, go to PC settings (you can search for it in the start menu).
    2. Click on 'update & recovery' on the left side.
    3. Click on "Recovery" on the left side.
    4. Click "Restart now" button under Advanced Boot.
    5. Select Troubleshooting-> advanced-> startup parameters and press Restart
    6. Press the number corresponding to the entry 7 "disable driver signature enforcement".
    7. Install the drivers. After your system restarts again once you won't able to install any unsigned drivers until you repeat steps 1-6.

Above works even if you have your hard drive encrypted with bitlocker (you need not type in your recovery key).

    Hello @fcb123,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today to solve the installation problem that you experience when you try to install your HP Photosmart Wireless all-in-One printer on your Windows XP computer. Can I please you follow the steps below to get this printer is installed and works properly for you.

Please unplug your USB cable from your computer or the printer before proceeding.

    Step 1: Uninstall the drivers:

Even if the installation does not complete, there is a chance that a part of the software package and the pilot has made its way on your computer. For the purposes of troubleshooting, it is important that we have a clean slate to work with. Therefore, I will you begin by ensuring that all traces of the printer has been removed from the computer.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Select the programs (or all programs)
    3. Select the HP folder
    4. Select your Camera HP Photosmart
    5. Select Uninstall
    6. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstallation.

Once the uninstall is complete, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Check print server properties:

    1. click on the Start menu

    2. Select Control Panel

    3. Select Printers and faxes

    4. click on file and select Server properties

    5. click on the drivers tab. Click on your HP Photosmart and select delete. When prompted click on Remove only the driver. Click OK.

    6. click apply and then click OK and save the changes to driver.

    7. close the printers and faxes.

Step 3: Delete the temporary files:

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Select run
    3. In the Run dialog box, type %temp% , and then click OK
    4. In the Temp folder, click the first item in the folder. Hold down the shift on you keyboard. Get off a few lines and select another item in the folder. Everything between the two points that you selected while now shift will highlight now. Select the "delete" on your keyboard. Repeat these steps under the files in the Temp folder are deleted.
    5. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. On Windows Vista, 7 and 8, if a Temp file is always si un fichier temp est toujours utilise used you can simply 'jump' the outdated and everything else will delete successfully. On Windows XP, it is not so easy. You must delete the Temp files into pieces. If a file is always used you will rise the pop is used and the "deletion" process is cancelled. Rate this file which is used and skip the next time you remove a piece. It is a tedious but necessary process for troubleshooting.
    6. Once the temporary files are removed close the Temp folder
    7. Right click on the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin

    Step 4: MSCONFIG:

Even if you ensured that no other programs are running on your computer when you tried your installation, there are programs that run in the background. One of the background programs may be the cause of the facility to close. Therefore, I will have you temporarily disable all background programs running on your computer.

A program running on your computer can cause interference when you try to reinstall your wireless printer. I'm going to make sure that no program will cause problems, you temporarily turn off background programs on your computer.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Click on run box and type msconfig and click OK
    3. When the System Configuration window opens, select "selective startup" and uncheck load startup items
    4. Click the Services tab, check the box at the bottom to hide all Microsoft Services
    5. Select disable all
    6. Select apply and OK
    7. Computer restart when prompted

    Step 5: install the Driver:

    1. Please click here to download the right driver
    2. Once the site opens click on the download button at the top left
    3. If you are prompted select run
    4. Once the download is complete, follow the instructions on the screen to install your printer
    5. Do not connect the USB cable until the installation program invites you to

Once the installation is complete, please test your machine to confirm that everything is working.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • Help: "Intel Matrix Storage Manager for Windows XP" Installation failed

First of all, has anyone successfully lowered their vista to xp in a machine SL400/SL500?

I had just followed the "Windows XP clean installation/Downgrade Guide" here:

    http://Forum.NotebookReview.com/showthread.php?t=188992

and got stuck in step "Install Intel Matrix Storage Manager for Windows XP"

The 'Intel Matrix Storage Manager for Windows XP"for SL400/SL500 (Note: this driver is different from T/R61) I downloaded the support of lenovo cannot be installed. Every time when I followed the instructions of the official support page to run 2ksetup.exe, he gave me a saying invite "installation failed." I have also tried to run "2ksetup.exe" and "2ksetup.ini", according to the official support for unattended Setup page and nothing was (apparently it doesn't have too).

PS: this installation is done after that the chipset intel is installed as indicated on page 'guide' from notebookreview.

I also tried to use the driver for T/R 61, since in the official support page, it seems compatible. The installation can be performed successfully, but when I switch the 'compatibility' to 'AHCI' SATA drive in the bios, I can't start windows (every time it showed a blue screen and restarts automatically). When I went back, everything became normal.

Someone has any idea how to handle this?

Clean XP install on my SL400 worked like a breeze. Actually a little felt uncomfortable having a complete set of official XP drivers available, because my previous installation was on a HP with almost no XP support beyond what users were mosaicked together in forums.

I don't like the idea of changing the setting in the BIOS SATA back and back, then I slipstreamed driver ICH9M AHCI (with SP3) by using the MSFN guide. After that, XP installs without complaining, and it was just a matter of download and to install the drivers using the wire of notebookreview.com as a checklist on what to install and in what order.

Some information on the Guide from notebookreview:

    • I installed the Intel Matrix Storage Manager normally; didn't need to follow the instructions in the guide. Probably does not need to install at all, but you get the utility so you can check NCQ etc. works.
    • ACPI power management is named ThinkPad Power Management driver in the list of drivers for SL.
    • If integrate you the SP3, you will have already sound driver UAA, so you can skip that.
    • Skip Atmel TPM (Trusted Platform Module). There is no driver for the SL series.

If you use any sensor series 2 old on this domain controller, which would need to be removed.

Can you check software 6.0 again to make sure that its for DC 750 and also go in the repertoire/var/log/sf/6.0. Check the content of /000_start and then the tail 001_check_models.pl.log

  • Repair installation fails on Windows 7 and get black screen

I put in a repair disc and then I put in a disk to reboot and did he pulled upwards so that I had to do a reboot but got black screen saying something was not so tempted excessible to esc but used left me tried to restart again and it will not restart please help running windows7 64 bit

This is usually caused by hardware or software that is not compatible with Windows 7. If you have this problem, follow these steps:

Wait about 10 minutes to see if the installation continues. Look at the led on the hard drive (often a small light on your computer that blinks when your hard drive is running) to see if there is no activity. If your hard drive seems to be working, the installation must be current. If your hard disk doesn't seem to work, go to step 2.

Uninstall all antivirus software, and then restart your computer. Don't forget to enable antivirus software after you install Windows.

If the installation fails again, it may be a hardware incompatibility problem. Go to the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor on the Microsoft website to see if your computer can run Windows 7.

If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary material. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

  • Creative cloud Apps (Photoshop CC) 'The Installation failed' error Code 7

Recently I've just upgraded to windows 7 10, and in the process, I uninstalled my Photoshop CS6. After the upgrade is finished, I headed to the adobe website to install Photoshop once more, soon for a new creative cloud service. I decided to try it with a trial for now, to see if I could buy later. I launched the installer of creative cloud, and once it was done, I clicked on the try button next to Photoshop, as well as other programs such as first and hearing that I used to have in the past. A few days in the new creative versions cloud was pretty cool, and I liked my fair use of it. Unfortunately a few days later I walked directly into a virus online and random programs began to install on my desktop. I panicked! I decided to do a restore of the system on my machine for a few days earlier, (unfortunately the timestamp was set before I installed all new adobe programs ) scanned for viruses and malware and cleaned my machine once more. After I did, I installed the installer of creative cloud again to see now that it was the fate by a few seconds in. I was confused, so I made online searches to quickly find this "creative cloud cleaning tool" provided by adobe. Gave him a quick run, cleaned up all the old files that remained, and installed right accelerated through good as new again. Shortly after I clicked the button 'Try' next to Photoshop, it went through the entire download process and then display in orange text, «Installation Failed - more». Only, this became more frustrated at the minute... I decided to try the same installation process on the first, and it's the same thing; «Failed to install - more». I decided to click on learn more to soon find text read, ' errors occurred during installation ' (7) I studied this Error Code 7and he said to try to install your applications through safe mode with network. STILL NO LUCK. I gave up at this point, and I can help the community! Thank you
