Service Pack 1 & 2 installed successfully but not displayed

I had to install Windows Vista Home Premium on a new hard drive.

I then installed 102 updates, including service pack 1.

I then installed service pack 2.

When I look at the properties of the computer, it shows only Windows Vista Home Premium, but not the correctly installed Service Packs

Hello

  • Are you able to see the service pack 1 and 2 in the Windows Update list?
  • It she even offered to be installed again?

I suggest you install service pack manually.

  • Success but not displayed process Planner

    Hi all
I just installed HCM 9.1 PT8.52, demo DB, Oracle Database 11 g and Windows server 2008.
I have installed and configured the Scheduler process (following the steps) and created a windows service, which is automatically 'start '.
When you try to run a process scheduler, I'm getting a 'Success' execution status but 'Distribution status' is 'not detached.
I guess that's not find the place or something?
    What should I check?

    Thank you.

Add ProcessSchedulerAdmin and ReportDistAdmin role to the user that started the process scheduler
Default Local node is configured to be reliable

  • My computer says it is running service pack 3, but I noticed that two service pack 2 were installed. Is this right?

My computer has terrible fonctionnee and will not at all.  There a lot of errors blue screen and constant freezes.  It happens all the time.  The fact that service pack 2 is installed would be part of the problem?  Also, is it OK to enter the program records to remove a program if it does not appear in the section install/remove?  Thanks for your help.

    Hi RonGerdes,

    1. where to find two entries for service pack 2 on the computer?

    2. Since when are you the bluescreen or constant freezing on the computer?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

    Hi Jerry,

    1. How have you installed service pack 1 before? Is it through Windows update?

    2. have you checked the Windows update history?

Check if the Service pack is already isntalled on the computer. Follow the steps.
    1. Right click on "computer".
    2. In the system of the Details check if section Serivce pack is mentioned.

If the Service pack is not installed, then you can download the stand-alone package for Service Pack 1 and install.

  • Which Service Packs I have install during the installation of operating system?

I intend to do a clean install of Windows XP Edition family on a replacement hard drive.  At this hour I'll also install updates recommended.  Should what Service Packs I install?

Microsoft sites are ambiguous or incomplete information.  From my reading, it seems that I need to install the Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2 to install Service Pack 3.  And yet the Service Packs are supposed to be cumulative updates, containing all updates released before the release of the latest Service Pack.  Have to install only the Service Pack 3 would be my preference, which would do the trick.

What installation plan would give me the desired result (a nice, clean, full of XP and all installation updates recommended) more effective in terms of installation time and using the hard drive?

After installation, remove the files?  It seems to me (and perhaps I got wrong this impression) that the Service Pack and the individual updates of XP I have installed in the past have left a huge amount of files on my hard drive, the files after successful installation, I might be able to remove without adverse consequences.  My feeling is that Microsoft (and many other reputable software providers) are happy to add you to their software, but they clean up after themselves.

If you hired a Carpenter to build new cabinets in kitchen at home, he would not let the old cabinets, scrap lumber, loose nails and screws and tools scattered in your kitchen.  It would be to clean up all this in the context of completing the work.  I don't want to be unfair to Microsoft (in case I'm wrong about what they leave on my machine), but if they leave their installation files or obsolete older files (from earlier and now supplanted the Service Packs) on my machine, they are not complete the project.

Your advice on what to install and how to clean up after installation will be appreciated.  Thank you.

You must download and install Windows XP Service Pack 3.  Afterwards, visit Windows Update and download available later updates. Carey Frisch
