Set an out point of the clip on the current image in the timeline?

So here's a scenario: I'm in the timeline and I get to the image I want to be the out point of the clip. Is there a single shortcut keyboard/etc who will succeed?

I realize I can do this: move one image to the front and then use the cursor to GUI the end point to the thread... but quite frankly, it's boring, but also slow.

I am a user of FCP7 who is accustomed to the setting of the read head on the desired image to an exit point, then double click on the clip, it opens in the Viewer window clip on THE SAME CHASSIS OF THE TIMELINE, and then I press the shortcut key to point. If a double-click + a unique key. I'd do this hundreds of times a day. Is there a way to first open a clip in the source window (by double clicking on since the timeline) on the same frame as the head of reading the script? This will be possible that the first time that you open the clip in the source of the timeline window, but it will be "remember" the framework that you left on ypu reboot first... even closing tab of the element in the source window will not change. I realize that there are "gangs and the program source" but which must be addressed by individual video sequence.

A bit it boggles my mind that it was placed on the default mode, the source window works.

Or y at - it a keyboard shortcut to make playback of the source head jumps to the corresponding timeline playhead frame?

double clicking and opening on the same frame are CS2 and earlier versions and CC14 only.

Try to hit W (ripple trim next edition to the read head) the opisit is Q.

  • Create a new sequence of IN & OUT points on the timeline

    I have a timeline with 6 hours of footage of an event. I want to be able to go in this chronology and, say, choose a 30-minute section and copy it into a new sequence. Is there a way I can mark the points of entry and on the timeline and then copy some lies on the timeline to a new sequence?

    I hope that makes sense!

    Thank you

    MrD

    The source monitor is basically a chronology, then what is the advantage of navigation on the clip in the editing window? After filing your source of 6 hours sequence in the source monitor, you should be able to view all of your six hours and select for new sequencesand exit points. This will not change the original order of six hours.

    And as Ann has said, if you add historical markers for the sequence of 6 hours, you will see them as clip markers when you drop the sequence in the source monitor.

  • Window program hangs when setting clip/exit points on the timeline

    Since the CC 2015 update, I experience a lag very heavy/lock up while adjusting the clamp/exit points in the timeline. What is happening because of the window of the program trying to cross to a clip in/out. The tool slide etc work fine showed a similar screen. It only crashes when I try to adjust the length of the clip and it freezes the program window and then crashes me to do something for a few minutes after I published the adjustment.

    I would like to know if there is a setting that will allow me to disable this feature available? In this State, not only it is completely useless, he effectively kills my productivity because of the constantly waiting for first to catch up and I would like to continue editing.

    Here are a few dumpsters screen showing available to program window that is problem. The left is using the tool to slide, with no problems, the right is just to adjust the length of the clip. Once I have let go of this edition, the freezing of the program window will remain there for even 2 minutes before finally turning to simple view of standards and allow me to continue.

    Hello

    Click the timeline (wrench top left of Panel) display settings button in the timeline panel and uncheck 'preview Composite to the 'Trim' course.

    Check if that helps.

  • How to make a button 3 States that remains in 'down' when I jump to a new point on the timeline?

    I use a series of buttons for navigation. When I click on one and go to another point on the timeline, I want the idle state to persist.

    I know how do it in html and css, but not in Edge animate. Thanks in advance, m

    Try this: symbol door button label to the top and bottom and outside (I do not use the State, but you can add the functionality).

    You can also use setVariable() and getVariable if you prefer.

    compositionReady:

    StateDown = 0;

    i = 0;

    SYM. $("feedback") .html ("stop:" + i);

    {sym.$('button').bind ('click', Function ()}

    i ++ ;

    SYM. Play();

    if(StateDown == 0) {}

    sym.getSymbol("button").stop ('down');

    StateDown = 1;

    }

    });

    on the timeline at every stop, I have this:

    StateDown = 0;

    i = 0;

    SYM. $("feedback") .html ("stop:" + i);

    {sym.$('button').bind ('click', Function ()}

    i ++ ;

    SYM. Play();

    if(StateDown == 0) {}

    sym.getSymbol("button").stop ('down');

    StateDown = 1;

    }

    });

  • Point set Label above point on the form?

    My apologies if this has been listed here. I could not find with the research I've done.

    In my data entry form, I want to put the labels of items entrable top of the fields. I looked at the label (optionally with help) model, but it looks like that just the label itself handles. I don't see a way to get to the #BODY # of the region (region without buttons or title) do it either.

    Are we stuck with having always our labels in column to the left of the items in a form?

    I hope not and knowing a minimum necessary?

    Thank you

    For the element, set Begin on the new line = YES and start the new field = Yes

    Then to the label set "Horizonal/Vertical Alignment" 'at the top'.

  • How manually to disable source outpoint changes three points in the timeline

    Hi all, I am a passionate Editor, cutting more and more on the Prime Minister and to love him.

    I know that in this latest version of the Prime Minister, there are options on how you want Prime Minister by default if your source has an input / output and timeline has a entry / exit that does not match a period.  When I launched the Prime Minister, he would give me a popup, and I think that selected the dialog dialog appropriate and then selected "Always use this default value" but I must have toggled a switch that is incorrect because now he always uses the out-point source when I am inserting / replacement, instead of my calendar - this means in general I always match the framework to a source of then erase the marks, then mark a time to cut in French - which is annoying rather than all loading a clip, to find my to and using my sequence input / out.  Does anyone know how to change this default, or at least popping back up again so I can spend my preference?

    Thank you.

    Hi Benjamin,

    Go to Preferences > general and check if "Fit Clicp open dialogue for range edit incompatibility" is checked.

    If yes then it should give you this window to make choices.

  • Why don't the read head align a mount point in the Timeline?

    As a recent first user from Final Cut, there is a behavior in the first I can't get used to. When I drag the playhead autour while in the scenario, I would expect the playback head to align the ends of the clips, edit the points, but it doesn't. The reason is important behavior is because it's often that I want to do something between two change points (or end of a clip that may not be the last clip on the timeline) such as insert a clip or other asset items. In FCP, drag the cursor around the read head, it will jump to the various edit points, making Park the playhead at a given place, I will insert a clip. With the first, I can get the head of close reading, but it will not snap, so I never know if I'm on the exact frame I want. This means that I could easily miss the end of a clip by one or two images, and you never know.

    Is there a way to force a wink? or change a setting to allow the read head hanging? Of course, I also want to temporarily disable this behavior by a combination of keys, which I suppose is easy to do using the combination of keys toggle 'snap' current (S).

    When you use the mouse and near a point edit hold SHIFT, it will jump to the edit point.

  • Can a button to jump to a specific point on the timeline? (without going to another slide)

    I have a project on a slide, with a synchronized video multiple sliders in one minute. I have two buttons that appear after 10 seconds and pause the slide/video. If the user clicks A button, the action is set to 'continue' and the slide/video starts playing where it left off. HOWEVER, if the B button is clicked, I want the action to skip the user on the timeline to 45 second mark. Is there a a way to do this using advanced actions?

    Screen Shot 2016-02-18 at 3.39.46 PM.png

    Yes, with micro-navigation, which means that you use the cpCmndGotoFrameAndResume system variable and you will need to calculate the number of frame, which can be done with the same tip action. Chassis numbers start with 0. More information on Micro-navigation:

  • Can you set a restore point from the system on a disk?

    Can you put a "System Restore" point on a disc? a disc re writable DVD, for example.

    To make it clearer:

    I want to do a restore point for my "C:" drive, but I want it on an external drive as a drive re writable DVD that can be put in the drive "D:" or, Alternatively, a flash drive.

    Is this possible?

    Any help is appreciated thanks :)

    A restore of the system (System Volume Information) file must be on the disk/partition that it protects. Each drive/partition will have its own System Volume Information folder for the recovery of the partition/drive specific. It's the way is designed the o/s, so not impossible to return c to another drive.

    Sorry, but that's the way it works and cannot be changed.

    Good luck!

  • Set initial focus point in the middle of several models, the flow of tasks and fragments.

    Hi guys,.

    With the help of JDev 11.1.1.4.

    I've got the fragments of the page for which I would like to set the initial focus. The problem is that, often, these pages of .jsff are nested in page templates, model train, dynamic regions, etc. AFAIK, the original goal of a component is on the document. The trick is to find what all the prefixes are before the .jsff component.
    pt1:dynamicRegion:3:pt1:t1:0:it1
    Y at - it an easy way to understand all of the prefixes before that: it1, which can often be radically different?

    The easiest way would be to set the initial focus to say "defaultFocus" and have each .jsff has a component id called "defaultFocus? Feels like cheating, but any other way I can think seems much too complicated.

  • Time out function on the timeline...

    Hi all!

    can someone help me with script for a time-out on my calendar feature?

    I have some tasks in my scenario where I want a timeout to happen after 5 seconds the user click anywhere or do anything.

    I am familiar with mouse functions listener... but they only use them for something that I would do the time-out after a predetermined time already...

    Thanks for any help.

    Pat

    imports must be placed at the top of your codes. Sorry also forgot to tell you that you must activate the timer by calling the setUserActivityTimeout function whenever you intend to start checking for the activity of the user. Then, each mouse click resets the timer. If no more clicks are detected after the last click (in 5 sec), it calls onUserInactivity, which will remove the _root.onMouseDown Manager so that the timer is not recalled when clicked. But you can re - activate the timer by setting his manager with setUserActivityTimeout.

    Import mx.utils. Delegate; Should be at the top of the code

    var nTimeoutId:Number;

    var nTimeTolerance:Number = 5000; timeout of 5 seconds

    _root. OnMouseDown = Delegate.create (this, setUserActivityTimeout);

    setUserActivityTimeout ( ); Activate the timer

    function setUserActivityTimeout(): Void

    {

    clearTimeout() (nTimeoutId);

    nTimeoutId = setTimeout (delegate.create (this, onUserInactivity), nTimeTolerance);

    }

    function stopTimer(): Void

    {

    clearTimeout() (nTimeoutId);

    }

    function onUserInactivity(): Void

    {

    Delete, and then redefine it again if you want to activate again

    delete _root.onMouseDown;

    gotoAndStop ("exit_no");

    }

  • Text Fade In / Fade Out different in the timeline to export

    Hello world

    I exported just a video with some very basic fading in/out in the title sequence. When I look at the actual sequence in the first, the pace of the fane is very nice and relaxed. Now I look at export, and the pace is very different; presses, compared to the original and less pleasant. Anyone has any idea why?

    (Also: the images comes from a digital Canon SLR and the export was made in format H.264, predefined YouTube.)

    Try disabling "use of linear color" I find fane work better with him in the distance.

  • You can define wiggle at specific points in the timeline?

    Hi people,

    I made this cool tutorial on the creation of light streaks:

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=w-JG1n_Yeo8

    In it, he used the wiggle expression to create random movements.  I'm trying to get a trail to follow a specific path and then move within a limited and then travel on a specific path and move within the confines of another deadline.  Imagine the light having to travel through a small tube that opens in an area where there is room to move and then through a tube again to the next area, etc..

    Someone can give me advice on how to achieve this kind of effect or do not hesitate to tell me the name of what I'm trying to achieve so that I can google it.  Thank you!

    Thanks to you two.  I'll look at both of these responses.

    Is it possible to have the AE to consider the field of composition, so that if we use the example above, the boxes and tubes, then some areas of the composition have boxes and some regions have tubes and then let the light streak move randomly within the composition and react accordingly depending on where it is in the composition?  In other words, the conditional we are talking about can be based position and not timeline based?
