  I have a HP printers laserjet 5200tn running on Windows 7 (32 bit) and I'm unable to print the midtones in the form of judgment that I need.

  It is default to 133/150 lpi. I don't c get the options I need to be able to change this for Photopolymer plates positive 65-85lpi and screen print 40-50lpi Letterpress.

  I currently have self-test provided HP Universal driver, but I think that's not the right one.

  Is - this from there anyway to get the drivers for the HP 1000 work with windows 7? If I can't use my printer with the same win 7 how Microsoft operating system call their operating system and high grade? HP, what kind of company does not take account the needs of their customers. No more MS and HP for me unless these problems are solved.

  Cannot get this printer to install. Windows does not recognize it and using the universal driver than the Compatibility Center me headed to the HP Web site also do any activity. I get a successful installation message, then a marker of error on the printer icon. I tried on my desktop or laptops, which are both new and not had any luck. This same printer works very well with my old laptop, but this facility was made by a professional at the time of purchase. Using windows 7 on both. I'm not on any network. Everything is self-contained and connecting with a USB cable.

• Windows 8 driver for LaserJet P2015d supporting automatic printing side 2

  I recently bought a new laptop with MS Windows 8 is installed.  When I plugged my HP LaserJet P2015d on the USB port, a driver has been loaded buy it does not support 2-side printing capability.  Any suggestions what driver use which will remedy this problem?

  After playing more with this, I actually solved my own problem.  For the HP 2015 d printer, you will need to download the HP printing PCL 6 universal driver.  Then you have to make in the properties of the device associated with this driver and scroll to the unit duplex (for printing on 2 sides) and ensure that it is marked as installed.  If this is not the case, replace uninstalled installed.

  Runs like a champ now.

• LaserJet P2015d: Laserjet don't feed paper unless I opened before each time

  Hi all, I recently have a problem with my Laserjet P2015d how can I get to print each page of a document, I need to open the hood before (like matching the ink cartridge) and then close it to print the next page. If I do not open the lid before you start printing, it light-error with a flashing orange alert indicator. It does not send the error codes to the computer but then I don't really see what it is. But from what I hear, it tries to feed the paper from the cassette, but fails, unless I opened on the front, then close it and for some reason it work just for a single page. When he tries to move to the next, he fails again. How could solve this, or is it a bust? Thank you

  When the bin is full the indicator says it's because the metal tray is all the way at the bottom of thie plastic frame, i.e. where he sat when he was full of paper and the drawer is closed.

  When you first put all paper in and looking at the indicator is shows a full tray until you close the drawer, then when the paper raises it shows the actual level.

  So at this point, that looks like you close the drawer, then paper comes up, if there is not a lot of paper in the tray it will feed a sheet but the mechanism which is to follow the set allows to fall and you get no paper feed more.

  So, you could have actually just a defective Board.  If you can find another P2015 to borrow a tray, can you could test.

• Problem setting up printer on XP via WAN for 64 bit Vista machine. __

  I have a desktop computer XP with a HP Laserjet P1006 and a Canon MP 780 multifn connected by usb printers ink jet.

  I have a vista 64 laptop I set to print on both printers via WAN (to aid adding printers and worked without any problems).

  I recently moved and when I brought back online network, the HP printer works well, but I can't print in the Canon.

  I uninstalled the Canon software and reinstalled. I connected Canon printer to Vista computer in local mode and it prints fine.

  When I try to configure Canon printer in network mode, I click on "Add a printer" on the Vista computer, I am able to 'see' the Canon printer on my desktop and "select." I get the message: "the server for Canon printer does not have the printer driver installed" and request the INF file for the printer, vista computer can not find the Canon for disc or download the driver for Canon printer (64-bit version of Vista).

  It seems to me that if I can print in local mode on Vista computer, that the correct drivers need to be installed, and because I can print on the HP printer on the Wan that the network configuration is correct, I so need to understand what the origin of the problem.

  In Vista computer, change the following settings and check if it helps:

  on the computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows, click Start, point to settings and then click Printers and faxes.

  b. double-click Add printer.

  c. click Next.

  d. click local printer, clear automatically detect it and install the checkbox and then click Next.

  e. click on create a new port and then click Local Port next to Type of Port.

  f. in the Port name dialog box, type the path of the printer by using the following syntax:

  \\Computer name\printer name

  g. click Next.

  h. on the page to install the printer software, click the appropriate manufacturer column manufacturer, click on the name of a printer that supports the same printer as your printer emulation, click Next and then click Finish.

• Cannot set default printer in Windows Vista.

  My computer still works fine until lately something's happened to Windows Vista all of a sudden. One day I put on the computer and found that the left side of the menu 'start' all deleted, and the content on the right side of the Panel is still there. But then I found that I cannot print a document PDF and Excel, and the error message reads: "Before you print a document, you must install a printer." I have a HP Color laser printer connected to it since and it still works well. I can always print Word document (unless I have to manually select HP printer each time the dialog box I have ever had to do before), but cannot print PDF or Excel. On the 'control panel', the HP printer icon is still there, but it is not set as default printer, as it has always been. And when I tried to set up as a default printer, the error message reads: "can't set default printer.

• How can I get the total number of pages printed on my LaserJet 3055?

  I have a nice 1012 LaserJet that is not supported in Windows 7, but there is a solution which is to set up a Vista driver as if the printer is a LaserJet 3055.  It works, even if sometimes I get a printed statement that it does not work, and when that happens I just turn off the printer and turn on again immediately and it is fine.  I would like to know if there is anyway I can get the total number of pages printed at some point, as I could with the LaserJet 1012.

  Please ignore my post on the LaserJet 3055.  With the help of a good soul on another thread of discussion, I was able to install and operate my LaserJet 1012 printer on Windows 7, exactly as it did in XP.  No errors, no slow printing, no problem.  The LaserJet 3055 thing helped initially as a work around, but the message about the bad personality who stopped the printer until you turned off and turned it back was boring.

  I am an amateur so please forgive me if this is a silly question. I use Illustrator to design a brochure for my business, and I print on a Laserjet Printer brother. When I print a test page for the machine, it comes out crispy and the text is very clear. When I print from Illustrator, however, the text is a little pixelated, as if it was a little fuzzy. I tried different media and get the same result.

  I think that I export it wrong, but that's my question. I tried to create outlines, brochure pixelation and flattening, as well as the file I print without doing any of the things, but it looks the same. I also made sure the printer output is set to the PPP more high and defined for the specific media. Should I be printing from a different program, or have I missed something in my export file to the printer?

  I realize that my printer cannot print to the edge, but what adjustment will maximize the use of the paper and give me the smallest border?

  Also, is there anything else I can do to maximize print quality? I guess my quesition is, how can I save the file to make sure that my production is neat and clean. I'm printing brochures and leaflets and generally to use Illustrator. There are so many printing options, it's a little confusing for me. At the moment I put the maximum dpi (on the printer dialog box) and I usullay vectorize the text.

  If you have only vector illustrations and save to the PDF format, you can't do much more. No need to text, it can make things worse.

  Quite a few questions, send, but I will do what I can to answer them.

  I recommend first to buy a router, even if it's one you won't connect to internet and it network with others your PC and printer. This will give you the best features and the results of what you're trying to do.

  In addition, the automatic stop of the printer function can be disabled and is not affected by the type of connection. Usually, you can go through the configuration Menu and select tools to change the options there on the energy saving features.

  Finally, the auto off function on your computer is a Windows question, but one easy answer. If you're on a laptop, you can right click on the battery in the tray (lower right corner) and change the settings for energy conservation.

  You might be better off installing the printer via the USB cord and alternately inspiring when you use it, but which is not optimal if you are printing only a few documents on an irregular basis. A network connection is the easiest to manage across multiple computers, honesty, but you have certain requirements for this connection and limits as well.
