I want to add a fingerprint on my iphone 5s, but I can't. It shows unable to complete Setup touchid please go back and try again. Please help what should I do?

Keep trying. But first, I restart the phone.

To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

If she agrees not always the fingerint, reset all settings. No data is affected, but you will have to re-enter all the parameters of the device and the phone will restart on its own. Settings > general > reset > reset all settings.

Always make sure your finger is clean, free of any oily substance and the same goes for the home button on the phone.

I have iphone5s and my contact id does not work, all the time he show faild Setup touch id please help?

      Hi yjain51,

I understand you had some problems recently with getting Touch ID to work reliably on your iPhone 5s. I know that it is a feature of great security for your iPhone, so I'm happy to help you.

When you use Touch ID, make sure that your hands are free of any dirt or moisture so that fingerprints can be read clearly. This article explains further:

    • Apple pays fingerprinting

New to the iPhone and the 6s.  I have "ve put in place ApplePay and everything speaks to pay using your finger/thumbprint.   I put in place a code 6 digit to access the ApplePay/Wallet (even to try to understand both), but can I pay with it using the 6-digit code or what I have to do something with a fingerprint?

Also... we will fly on Delta in a week and he says that I can use for my boarding card.  How can I get a boarding card in the wallet to use it to get on the plane?

Thanks... any help would be appreciated

With the iPhone 6 s, you have the option to set up a fingerprint to unlock your device and also for the use of Apple pay. This support document explains Setup Touch ID with your fingerprint. You can configure several fingerprints. Use touch on iPhone and iPad - Apple Support ID  I can't find any information on the use of your password to pay Apple. You can see this support document for more information on configuring Apple pay.  Set up Apple pay on your iPad, iPhone, or Apple Watch - Apple Support

With respect to the boarding, you get information in an e-mail message from Delta, and it will contain information about the addition of the collar to your wallet. You can also get the application of Delta in the App Store and get information from who. I've used this with Delta several times, and it works fine. You just the display on the screen pass and put on the drive. Very nice.

    • Portege R700 - problem with fingerprints to connect on Win7

I have problems with my new Portege R700 with fingerprint reader to log on Win 7 acount.

I have digital fingerprints installation to the system via the Toshiba fingerprint utility. Several times I can wake up the Portege of sleep or turn it on, fingerprints from the BIOS is accepted, after which appears logon screen in Win7 and in some cases, I'm able to connect automatically to this account. In some cases just system is pending, it is not possible to login with the password. I restart phone, sometimes more than once.

You can help someone? I have already several times removed, Setup still traces of fingers, I updated the utility and the new driver fingerprint - nothing does not.

      Hello Vava

Are you using the original recovery image Toshiba (operating system) that you got with your laptop?

    • Portege R830: don't seem to be able to get the fingerprint reader to work

      HI - need help.

      I have a Toshiba R830 I got "downgrade" to Windows 7 32 bit version pre-installed 64-bit. Long story - but it's the software compatibility.

Despite the download and the installation of what I think is all the relvant 32 drivers - I don't seem to be able to get the fingerprint reader to work.

I downloaded and installed the software fp-sw-201103311304 Tosh - chilled out and tried to install it.

It's actually hard to know if it is installed! I get a window telling me it will extract the file in a directory C:\temp and tells me at the same time that 'tinstallwb.exe' will start once the extraction is complete.

It seems to extract - but I do not see that the installation is happening.

Subsequently it is has that nothing listed in the title of the programs - and nothing "launches."

In Device Manager - I can't see anything that is listed as "fingerprint reader" under security features - the list is TPM 1.2. Not actually sure that is nothing to do with the fingerprint reader - well I've enabled and then disabled via the BIOS.

      Am I missing something?
Could the reader [which I have not used since the new - even if it's only 8 weeks] have stopped working?

Would be very grateful for pointers.

Try to start the installation manually. On the desktop create a folder unpack and after doing the beginning downloaded exe. Extract the files to the folder unpack and disable command run after extraction.

When files are checked almost open and Toshiba archive extracted file extractor. You will find setup.exe.
Try please to start it manually.

    • Windows 8 fingerprint reader no longer works (need to Flash the BIOS to fix)

I have a DV6-7014nr bought around September of 2012.  I have upgraded to WIndows 8 when it first came out.  I had no problem with the reader of fingerprints on Windows 7, but do not use for a long time.

As the subject says.  I can run it for a few weeks (on Windows 8), and the fingerprint reader stops working.  None of the biometric devices are listed in the Device Manager.  If I try to load the driver, it does nothing, as if the player is simply not there the responsibility of the driver closes just (with no message).

Peripheral Biometirc in the Panel control says there is no biometric device found and simplepass opens without the fingerprint reader recognized.

The only thing that solves this is my BIOS which comes Insyde to re-flashing. It is noted in the setup of the BIOS relating to biometric devices.  I have just discovred that BIOS update solves a problem because there was an update that I applied.  Have to reapply the update of the BIOS to fix this seems excessive to us.

      Added March 29, 2013:

I just re-applied the BIOS two days ago and already the figerprint teader plug working again.  I tried a hard reset (because I saw that as a solution previously, and it is easier and faster to re-flashing the BIOS).  Who has shut down, remove the battery, now the power for 30 seconds button, boot the system without the battery.  He has not fixed the problem and I can't even understand why the fingerprint reader keeps disabling.  A re-BIOS flash solves the problem, it seems that the problem must be with the BIOS software.  Oh I also had turned off the "Allow windows to turn off the device to save power" for the biometric device before he went kaput.  It doesn't stop of is suckier.

There must be a better way.

      Thank you

      Hello cjwh888,

Try to restore your BIOS then use Recovery Manager to restore your software and drivers.

Please let me know if it helps.

      Good luck!

    • Tecra A11 - 11L - fingerprint sensor does not work

      Hello
I had a problem with my Tecra laptop. The fingerprint sensor does not work since yesterday. It also disappears from the hardware Manager. I tried to reinstall the utility, but the setup.exe will not run successfully. When I try to install the utility directly from the amd64 Directory installation will be successful, but the software is unable to connect to the fingerprint sensor. I also tried to install the original Windows image, but the sensor does not work.

      You have any ideas?

      Berst cordially
      Thunder1988

You can try a BIOS update and set the default BIOS. If it still does not appear in Device Manager, the player is maybe defective or there is a connection problem. I'm guessing that the laptop is still under warranty, you may have to send the laptop to a Toshiba repair center.

    • HP Probook 430 G1: Common validity of fingerprint driver for Windows 10

      Hello

It is a solution. You will be able to use your fingerprint across Windows Hello without any HP software reader (I have not even try to use simplepass). I'm on Windows 10.

      Thanks for posting this...

The driver works for me on a 8570p here, although I had to foce it a little...

I've upgraded an install of Windows 7 (not original) to Windows 10 and decided to try the new build-in OS support sensor. On Win7 I didn't use it because you have to installed the HP tools and it was more bloating, so I'm comfortable with... of course the problem is to get the drivers... Windows seems to have installed a driver that is over 2 years old and seems not even compatible with the OS API footprint. I'm not entirely sure if Win10 is the same as using Win7, but in any case, updating the driver did not find a newer version which is compatible with the BONES of characteristic fingerprints.

I downloaded and installed the version that lucadebe posted (link removed for error in the link). (Note that the Setup program seems to disappear all of a sudden, it's normal I think, there is no that add the driver of windows, it does not actually update the device).

I rebooted, but unlike others that wasn't enough in my case. The reason was that the shift driver does not actually list the VFS491 as a compatible sensor...

So basically, I had 2 options:

      1. use the driver (from lenovo) published by the creator of the thread that is accredited as a Win10 compatible, but do not officially support my sensor.

      2. use an old (but still relatively recent; a few months old) driver (from lenovo) that supports my sensor, but is not certified as compatible Win10. There are several versions to choose from here, although not RECOGNIZED HP...

The first driver lists the new probe of VFS495 (mine is VFS491), so I thought I could force and see if it works, rather than use a somewhat older driver (Lenovo) are not not as compatible Win10.

I went into the Device Manager and open the properties for the biometric sensor. On the driver tab, I selected "Update driver"-> "Browse local dirvers"-> "Let Me Choose from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

Then, because the new driver does not actually list my compatible sensor, I had to uncheck "Show compatible hardware".

If you use the provided HP driver it will by default have a driver selected in manufacturere "Validity Sensors, Inc.". They were acquired by Synaptics, so the new driver will be available under "Synaptics PS sensors". I installed in fact a number of more recent drivers, but one displayed above should be included amongst the "Synaptics PS (WBF) (PID = 003d) sensors '." Select it and click next to install...

After installing the new driver, open the Sign In options screen suddenly showed a header additional 'Windows Hello' with a button to add a fingerprint...

So far, works like a charm.

@PeerOne: I would like to get the driver from the HP site with the game of the right driver... IF HP has bothered actually updates driver. As is the case, the only recent drivers for the VFS491 are available through lenovo.  I installed the HP Softpaq Manager... While the application itself got an update for Win10, only "driver" always updated through it is the BIOS. Everything else is old...

I find it particularly disappointing because they are generic drivers provided by Synaptics... manufacturers have simply repackage the... but even that is too much effort, it would seem.

Also, considering windows 7 can switch itself to windows 10 in place, there will be many people who will need drivers compatible win10...

It has saddened my we rely on another manufacturer provide us drivers for HP products... Lenovo is always provide drivers for laptops that are older than mine, even drivers for newer operating systems...

Will be probably considered as when we need to replace our phones current...

    • Recognition of fingerprints TSQL

We have a Tecra M5 with software running (TSQL) fingerprint recognition. This is setup on our area and connects using the manual password or fingerprint scan. However, when you try and log off the machine or shut down, you get a message that TSQL fails and a Windows dialog box "End now". If you select 'End now' again, sometimes it fails to stop the program and may take several attempts, often resulting it takes several minutes to close the PC, which is very frustrating. The number of TSQL software version is 5.4.0 build 2688, I can't find any reference to this day on the Toshiba web site.

      Hello

It's really not easy to say what is happening here. I have no possibility to test it on a field, but I have tested this tool in only two cases: login to the OS and login on a web page (checking emails). I really don? t know if Toshiba tested it with all possible situations or in your case can be certain? specific? problem.

This error message occurs just when you want to disconnect the domain, or in other situations too?

If you can't find any update on the download page, I assume that Toshiba didn't? t find functionality problems at all. Perhaps something will be in short time.

    • no fingerprint reader after fixing Norton Internet Security

I just got a dv6tqe of Pavilion, and there was a problem with the protection of Norton Internet Security SONAR that required me to remove the Norton software and then re - install.  However, once I did this, the fingerprint reader no longer works.  The computer says there is no biometric device installed on the computer.  How can I do to fix this problem?

      Hello

The registry entries must be corrected by reinstalling the driver from the sensor as would any configuration error.  First, download the setup of the sensor driver and save the package on your desktop.  Then, if the current entry appear in programs and features (it is often labeled as driver validity sensor), it may be best to uninstall the existing driver first, restart the computer, install the driver by double clicking on the package that you saved on your desktop and restart the laptop.  You should find it works now.

      Kind regards

    • Fingerprint reader not working not not on ThinkPad T450s on Windows 10

The reader of the FP does not work on my T450s on Windows 10, even if drivers "Synaptics PS sensors (WBF) (PID = 0017)" are correctly installed.

I can get into the Setup Windows Hello of fingerprints (screenshot below), but the reader of the FP doesn't do a thing.

Following the suggested steps in Fingerprint-support-on-Windows-10-ThinkPad-T440-and-newer does not change.

The laptop is "new" and I didn't Win 7 or 8 before to test drive the FP, but the driver is installed without any problem - so I guess this isn't a hardware problem.

      I'm happy for any suggestion.

Problem solved. Indeed, it's a hardware problem.
