Shadows / shades clear effect on text

Hi all

As shown in the image below, would someone please let me know how to generate this kind of Visual effect on the text with Photoshop?

cappheritage sample .jpg

Thank you very much!!

Apply a layer style to your text layer, see the button in the photo attached. There, you can add a drop shadow and other effects that use the transparency of your layer. In this case, they seem to have used a feature white and then added a shadow...

Hi Jack and others on this thread.

It seems that, if the shadow effect / light tones (and/or others in the category 'Adjust') are added to your clips or adjustment with the default layers, you can have the problem with twinkle in reading and output. Although some users have good advice on this thread, I would use these effects at your own risk.

The design of effects should probably be redrawn or refined at least so that the default application of these effects do not cause the "flicker" issue in playback and export. To do this, please file a feature request: http://adobe.ly/feature_request

  • Effects of text in InDesign, drop shadow, outer glow, etc...

Hi, I'm in InDesign CS4 on a PC running XP.

I was wondering if it is safe to use text effects in InDesign the drop shadow, outer glow. I think someone told me earlier that they are best used in Photoshop especially if you want to print. I just wanted to check that I will be having something printed with the help of ID...

    Thank you.

I've never had a problem with shadow or a glow on text in ID when you go to print, but I let my live transparency and let the printer handle flattening RIP. You can have problems with a printer that has old equipment and insists on having a flattened PDF, but if it happens press (rather than the digital output) even what is unlikely, although I tend to stay away from the effects of ads where I'm not supported the selection of the printer.

The only way that you would avoid flattening of the questions by the effects in Photshop would be to flatten the image in Photoshop and placing this, but this will rasterize text unnecessarily and will probably lower quality type in the final output.

  • How can I create this effect to text and shine?

I wanted to know how to create this effect of text (there is a gradient on the text and the race seems to be beveled) in Photoshop.

Also, how can I create this effect of gloss on this image?

The text I believe is a simple style using bevel and Emboss. A sample of what I think they did is attached. I used black Ariel for the police.

  • the effects of text

I'm starting to gret base AE suddenly. I have a question on the effects of text that I have no problem, add effects to a layer, but I was curious on how I can add both a bustling in and animate the efect on a piece of text. Unless I'm mistaken, that I dragged one indeed but when I drag an effect off can't do both to display.

I am referring to text stock effects in AE sure hope this isn't a stupid question and it is possible that I have will understand this as I do but any help appreciated.

First, an important element of terminology: the things you add to text layers are not effects. They have preset animations. There is a pretty big difference. Here are a few pages that give the basics of each:

"Overview of the effects and resources."

    "Animation presets overview and resources."

    "Text preset animations.

One of the important differences (and the reason I'm highlighting the issue of terminology) is that the preset animations are nothing more than collections of properties and keyframes for the standard layer properties. In other words, you can make the preset animations and - to the point - changes the results of them after that you added to the layers.

So, don't think that with regard to the addition of a stock animation preset, and then another to get compound results. Apply one, discuss its findings, cancel, apply another and discuss its findings, instead, and so on. Learn how to build your own complex animations by examining how the animations in the predefined animations are implemented.

  • Effects of text on the fly

I tried to resantley the effects of text in my design. Then I wanted to convert to paths and send it in format FH, but the effect were missing or not visible after conversion to paths. I have PDF had my file and could see the effects on my pdf. I looked at the text effect using Freehand, and it said that it would happen when converting to paths.

Is there a way to get around this? In addition, why with Adobe Acrobat not recording a good idea?

    > Is there a way to get around this?

Not exactly. Text behaves a little different compared to graphics (text paths). Also, there are separate styles for the text and graphics and they are not interchangeable. You can use the copy paste & graphic attributes of text with effects, but the result is often similar.

Note that pixelation effects do not work correctly in print high resolution.

    > Also, why with Adobe Acrobat not recording a good idea?

I sent files only in pdf format to print for about 7-8 years now without any major problems. It seems to me that the more secure method. However, if you don't know how to make pdf properly, it is probably better to send a FreeHand native file with linked images and fonts by using the file > collect for output feature. Right always printing houses and Service offices give advice how to make pdf, and usually they have instructions and downloadable files on their Web site.

Although pdf files can be edited (not with FreeHand) it is easier to replace for example incorrect RGB with CMYK images images in file conversion FreeHand just images related.

But, always use Acrobat Distiller to print jobs EVER! use Pdf Export in FreeHand. (Adobe should solve the problem at least.)

Is it possible to create text effects (drop shadow, inner glow, outline, etc.) on my site in Muse? I did this in Illustrator and then just copied as JPEGs to Muse. • Premiere Pro / After effects editable text / contrast color

    Hello

I'm working on a project where I've implemented text editable in After Effects in a first draft. In AFX, I have a shape layer that runs a script by defining the size based on the text layer. So far no problem.

Now I'm looking for a function change the color for some words in the text in the first. Any suggestions how to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance,

    Daniel

Solved with a script within After Effects that allowed me to edit host beach related to text layers that are not visible in the model, but can be changed in the first. If anyone is interested, I'll be happy to help you.

    Best regards

  • Effects of text from "Fantastic beasts and where to find them" Trailer

This is my first ever post in the community, Adobe, so Hello to all! I was wondering if I could get some help here because I can't find what I'm looking for anywhere else. A few days ago the first trailer for the next "Fantastic beasts and where to find them" trilogy came out. Being a designer myself I was attracted immediately the beautiful special text effects in the trailer. I'm looking for a way to reproduce them but so far no luck. I don't know where to start, or if it is possible with After Effects at all. In your opinion, what kind of software makers has used for these effects and how you would do something similar to this? I'm more or less new to After Effects, so I tried to search for tutorials, but so far there is none that simulate the effect of the trailer. Congratulations to all!

P.S. Here is the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wj1devH5JP4

First question: you're new to After Effects?

Second question: do you have third-party plug-ins as the individual or the Borris FX?

I guess that you are referring to this:

AE is more than capable to reproduce these effects. The effect is not new. Third-party plug-ins make it just easier. If you have the standard set of plug-in uses copies multiples of the layer effects and moving text. Here is a tutorial for a zillion years, that will help you get started on the concept: flowing text George Polevey tutorial: Adobe After Effects I am sure that this tutorial is 14 or 15 years. What a pity that the link to the video is gone. It is very similar to your example.

Here's another from Andrew Kramer: VIDEO COPILOT | After effects, Plug-ins, tutorials and stock footage for Post Production professional

You can also use turbulent move (not available when George wrote this tutorial and you can use a bunch of different effects to generate him lights. You should familiarize yourself with displacement, fusion, before dialing and timing patterns. The tutorials should help you get started. BTW, it's easier for all of us on the forum if you use the integration tools to add the sample videos and you can simply drag the screenshots in the response field or use the icons at the top of the response field to help us see what you're trying to explain.

  • In After Effects, my text is huge, even at 0.1px

I'm trying to add 3d tracking query text.  Here's what I did:

    1. Film imported from 4K in Premiere Pro CC 2015
    2. Added to a sequence of 1080 p
    3. Click right on the sequence and selected "Replace with After Effects Composition"
    4. After effects CC 2015, clicked on 'Track Camera.
    5. After analysis, has chosen three points and selected ' Add Camera & text ".

The text, which she said was so huge that it has blocked all of the compositions.  I lowered the size of the text to 0.1px, and here is the result:
    huge.jpg

The first time I tried this, the text has a reasonable size.  I guess that, inadvertently, I changed a few settings that causes this problem, but I can't understand what it could be.

Why is my text so huge, even to 0.1px?

    Thank you.

I tried several times before posting, and each time, I got the huge text.  I found the ladder and changed, then did the all over again, and that day, the text was of a reasonable size.

So maybe I changed the scale inadvertently, as he remembered it for all segments of future text added via the 3D camera tracker.

    Thank you.

  • Effects of text doesn't work is not due to the length of the slide

    Hello

I have a 5 legends that have a start on them. (just a zoom faded in)

I have 5 buttons each with the relevant text caption.  I wish that the slide to pause while the user presses each button in turn to reveal the text captions.  However, only the first work because the blade stops.

I can however have no effect of entry and just have text captions appear on click of a button, but I liked the effect of opening 'animation' and you want only it on each of them.

This will have to be created in Flash and imported or can I replicate in Captivate 6?

    See you soon

    Julie

I see the problem... I think that only apply you a time based on the text captions, would see the chronology.

But you must apply the effect by a tip action, which is a bit tricky. Take a look at this blog post, first example (those are not faded zoom effects, but the principle is the same):

    http://blog.lilybiri.com/reset-effects

    Is this something like that?

  • Menu was nice until I added an effect to text in AE and imported to still as an asset.

I had a pretty simple menu built in yet.  It looked and worked fine in the preview.   I decided it would be better if I had a flash of sentence power on and off.   In AE, I added a "Preset" text.  It was beautiful at the opening.   I then made the composition.   I watched the .avi file and it worked just as I wanted.  It was clean and clear.   So, I imported the file *.avi as an asset.   Then I went to the Properties menu, click the query tab.  I've then whipped in the video to the *. AVI file, I just add.   I made the Menu and then ran a preview.  Everything worked like it was supposed to, with the EXCEPTION, full screen was blurry.  It was as if everything was blurry.   EVERYTHING.   It seems that I have two menus display, the old and the new together.   I don't know what it is.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what I did, or hurt?  Thanks in advance for your help.

    Duane

    Duane,

You're right, I used CS3, but it makes no difference.  In fact, I set up the menu from photoshop and then using AE and finally again for 7 kind of short videos with this album of Vimeo https://vimeo.com/album/214460.

What you have to do, is at AE your comp, say 20 seconds and then make the text animation you run for the 7 or 8 first seconds the comp and then have the text stop annimating there and just be tied up for the rest of the model.

You then use this video you done in AE to a background of movement in your menu yet.  You set the point of buckle to about 9 seconds so when the film melts in a loop, it passes the first part where there is a lively text.

If you do not have a single menu, is not secondary menu such as scenes, so you don't have to worry about the second menu short that I did.  However, in CS5.5 again, you don't need the quick menu.

    See if it works.

  • Why does my signature appear clearer than normal text?

I typed in my signature, as noted, but it does not appear as the "body text" or the same as the body of my emails that I type. He appears as a footer and is lighter than normal text.

Thunderbird shows after the separator of signature (dashboard dashboard entered space) in gray. Maybe others don't have the right signature delimiter? Note that the signature is not physically changed in gray text in the outgoing email, it is just a matter of how Thunderbird displays it.
