Hi, people: a few days ago I activated a latest version of Prevent Restore, it's a programthat erases all deleted the files from my PC and make it unrecoverable, I guess he did it's work. However, now my Dshows drive to be completely filled with the bar completely red. This disc was almost empty, due to the fact that I had a few files, the worst for me, it's my pc gives me alerts that the D drive is almost empty with only 12 KB available, I know that's not true, anyway, I have downloaded videos from You Tube and I had no problem with it. Please, help me get rid of this warnings popping up every five minutes and also how to recover a normal reading on the drive D. I tried to clean it with Disk Clean Up, used AVGantivirus, also Avast and after this registry of Lavasoft, none of them could solve the problem. Cans watch Bin is empty all the time, even when this moment that he has deleted files and you can see them there, I hope someone can help me, please.  Thank you very much for your help. Att Daisymar.

Hello

The description of your problem is bit confusing. Is your complete D: drive or does have a lot of free space?

For how much space you actually usable and available on any player, there are different ways available.
Step 1: The properties of the disk.
1. open computer.
2. right click on the drive, and then click Properties.
3. check the space used and the space available.

Step 2: Using disk management tool.
1. Click Start, type diskmgmt.msc and press to enter.
2. check the available space on the disc.

The warning messages you see every five minutes is because of the program that you have installed on the computer. Cross check if "Prevent Restore" is the program that is causing the problem, we recommend that you disable this program and check the result.
To disable this program, try the following steps.
1. sign the computer by using an account with administrator rights.
2. click on start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
3. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)
4. on the Services tab, select hide it all Microsoft services check box, and then uncheck the items associated with this program, if you don't know which element is not associated with the program, click Disable all.
5 restart the computer so that the changes take effect and see if the problem persists.

To find out which is the origin of this problem, follow the rest of the methods in this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

NOTE: Follow step 7: reset the computer to start as usual, once the steps are executed successfully.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards

  • Cannot create a new startup with my data disc

Hi guys, here's the problem: when I try to create a new startup with my data disc, I can't boot from this drive.

The startup progress bar takes forever and then I see a white circle with a line through it. ("Prohibited" / "Ghostbusters" sign.)

In verbose mode, it hangs on "break pci: SDXC ' for a while, then it clears the screen and watch the Circle + line with 'still waiting on the root device' at the bottom left.

I can't boot into single user mode. Quite simply, there is the same thing as verbose mode. Even in safe mode. So I have few options for debugging. I did a SMC reset, no change. Is there anything else I should try?

    Additional information:

-I'm trying to start off a new SSD that I bought, currently in a USB 3.0 enclosure external. I know that all is well with the speaker because I started off of him several times in the past. I know that all is well with the reader, because I tried to do the same process with another drive and it doesn't work the same way.

-J' cloned my current boot drive to the new drive with SuperDuper!, Carbon Copy Cloner and I also did a clean install of El Capitan using recovery mode. The new facility has worked well until I migrated my old data.

    - So there must be something in my data which are striated throughout this process. I don't know what it is maybe or how to track him down.

    Any thoughts are appreciated!

Have you tried the PRAM reset? Restart while pressing control + command + P + R until you hear the boot chime at least twice.

  • Tecra M1: Unable to create a data disc

    Hello

I'm developing a package to deploy Toshiba Disc Creator on all our Tecra M1 and M2 computers laptops, which represents about 200 units. The package I created works fine on all Tecra M2, but the Tecra M1, users get a problem BOUNCING. When they burn a data disc, they get the following about 50% of the time error: "failed to create a data disc. The current process stops. »

Even if they get this message, the creation of cd is always successful most of the time, but about 10% of the time, he is corrupt. There is no way to know if it actually worked or failed until you try to copy data to newly create CD. It also happens that doing an exact copy of a CD will give a similar error message.

I tried to find information about this software on the internet, but I am at a loss at this point, because no document seems to exist and event our Toshiba Rep doesn't know what to do. If anyone has a suggestion, I'm willing to try.

    Thanks in advance.

To me, this looks like a simple and common error during the burning process.
I put t know what burning software you use but I recommend burn media with Nero. It of simply and heavy application performance it s my favorite
You must also use a burning program. Don t mix different programs such as sonic for example.

Additional test different types of media in my practical knowledge not all media (CD or DVD) is taken in charge and, sometimes, you can get errors in engraving.

  • If the upgrade to windows 7, it will be able to read data discs my xp?

If the upgrade to windows 7, it will be able to read data discs my xp? l have data recorded on cd and on Word, and then transferred to cd/disc, to save. My XP PC can read the disc on reinstalling Microsoft Works, which has the word inside program. Windows 7 will be able to read these discs of data?

    Hi steve,.

Just to make sure I understand, you have the Word documents on them with backup discs and wondering if they will be recognised by Windows 7.
If this is the case, then you should not have to worry. Windows 7 will read the disc properly. However, as with XP, you will need to install the correct program that you would use to open files.
In other words, if they are Word documents, then you will need to have MS Word installed or installed works for viewing.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need more information.

  • Using Linked clones with a data disc?

We expect on the creation of our BASE image with a 50 GB C:\ drive.  For the moment, we will not use Thinapp, so the few apps we need for our people call center will be installed on the base image. We also plan to use the profile unit of Liquidware Labs and will use linked Clones.  My question is, do I have to create a data disc (D:\) to install Apps or just expand the C:\ drive?

If the user data (documents, computers of desktop, thems and local profiles) will store locally and needed to preserve for the future and use the redirection of the user's data and set separate drive for this.

In the case where the user data is Vagabond (stored and shared in the Center), then do not use that feature, simply create a bigger drive C.

In an attempt to save all my data to an external HARD drive, Vista x 86 crashed, so I decided to reinstall, but with x 64 with good knowledge of all my data on a dedicated reader (what I could unplug). • I would use mSATA 32 GB SSD in 14z 5423 as data disc normal

I have a new Inspiration 14z 5423 and it comes with 500 GB HARD drive and an mSATA SSD 32 GB for acceleration. I intend to replace the HDD with a SSD, so I have more acceleration.

But I don't know how to disable acceleration and use the SSD of 32 GB of normal data storage.

    Any help in appreciated.

I've been successfully disabled iSRT. But in a slightly different procedure that has been described above. At the time, I received 14z, trie GUI has not been installed. And I went to Dell.com and downloaded iSRT driver installed. Main player has already been associated with the mSATA for accelerated reader.

If I'm above procedure to disable sorts them in the BIOS, I won't be able to separate the main drive of the mSATA drive. So, here is the procedure I followed.

-Leave the BIOS for SATA operation setting as it is for the trie.

-Disable 'Technology Intel Quick Start' in the BIOS because it uses 8 GB mSATA

(Note that I'm really confused of sorts and iRST, I think Intel should really change)

    -Windows startup

    -Launch GUI TSRI

-Click on 'Accelerate' tab and click 'disable acceleration.

-Click mSATA drive icon, and then click 'reset to available.

-Restart Windows and the mSATA 32 GB is now available as normal storage

  • Burn data disc in Windows 7

I have a disc with 32 files for a total of 550 MB.  I need to provide this file to 20 customers and have no any place of storage to the place that anything could happen to.  The best solution would be to copy/burn the disks to distribute.  I remember being able to burn discs in Windows Explorer in versions of Windows previouls, but can not find a method to do the same thing under Windows 7.  Can someone please advise?

    Thank you

    Paul

If you use windows, built in software, you can copy one of the disks to a folder on your hard drive, then repeat the process of engraving 20 times.

Personally, I use either Roxio or Nero software that I bring, tell him to copy a disc, then tell him how many copies I want and insert new records when he tells me to.  There are professional services, such as Kinko's and OfficeMax that will do this for a price if you would rather than route too.  Finally, you could watch free programs you can download like imgburn from http://www.imgburn.com .  You could also do a search on http://www.download.com for other free downloads.

    Good luck.
