Shortcuts to applications on SD card disappear on reboot

Hi team Motorola,

Met another bug while playing with my MOTORCYCLE G (2nd generation). Had moved a few apps on SD card to release an internal memory.

After a reboot noticed this shortcut (s) of all apps moved to card SD disappeared from my home screen.

Is this a bug or is it supposed to be this way? Every time a power-on/reboot happens, I have to recreate the application shortcuts.

Please notify.

Best,

Gerard

  • Ethernet card disappear once the cable is not connected

    Hello

I bought a HP Pavilion dm4-1164us laptop computer about a month ago.

I installed the working node Lock software for my MAC ID of the ethernet card in this laptop. When it's hanging of Ethernet cables, the software works very well.

Every time when the ethernet cable is plugged in no, or if I start the machine without ethernet connection, I can't run my software. I checked using command prompt and found that in this case, the ethernet card disappears.

A friend suggested to check whether it is because of the power saving mode to cut ethernet card when there is no ethernet connection. I went to the control panel to find the configuration of the ethernet card and disable the option "all the computer to turn off this device to save power". After the reboot, the software still does not work and the Ethernet card is not yet there. Although I expect to see its existence with the status of "disconnected."

Anyone familiar with this please help! Thank you very much.

    Thank you Paul!

    It really works!

  • How add us shortcuts of applications downloaded from the app Store? (RT surface)

    Original title: App shortcuts

    Hello

How add us shortcuts of applications downloaded from the app Store? (RT surface)

For example: Skype shortcut on desktop

    Hello k0mrade,

You can create shortcuts on the desktop for versions of the apps Web page, but not applications, in the strict sense. The version of the app Web page often has more features and options.

The example you give is a good thing. If you go to the Skype Web page, you can do this Web page a favorite in user IE10 or IE10 Desktop interface. It also works with SkyDrive, Hotmail, Outlook.com, or any Microsoft service available on the internet.

Once the favorite is created, open the Desktop IE10, then open Favorites and drag the symbol from the Web page Favorites and on the desktop. It becomes a shortcut on the desktop to this Web site (but will most likely open on the side of the user interface).

In addition, if you use the same Microsoft account to connect to Windows RT, that you will use to connect to the Microsoft Web pages, when you open the shortcut that you'll already be connected.

    Help!

    Hi ad391970,

The reason for updates make changes on the computer would be some conflicting third-party programs or there might be a corruption in the Windows Update components.

I suggest that you try to install updates by disabling the third-party program conflict and check if it works.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Perform the check and the clean boot if you have the problem.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    User account control permission

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

If the step above does not resolve the issue updates suggest that you try to reset the component of windows update and check if it works.

Check out the link below to find out how to reset the windows component update

How to reset the Windows Update components?

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

If the step above does not resolve the question suggests that you check in a new user account if you are faced with a similar question. If a face similar to a new user account which means your other user account has been corrupted.

See the link below for screw a corrupt user profile.

  • Xperia Z3C issue after the transfer of applications on SD card

Hey guys, hoping you can give me a little help here.

I've updated my Xperia Z3C to Lollipop the other day, which was until now very well, but last night I moved a few apps to my SD card to free up some of the internal memory of my phone (do not use any application of third party to make).

It seems that something has gone wrong, as my phone restarted itself, while one of the applications was yielding and now EACH of them will be displayed as an icon of plan with a little red in the corner SD card, and when you click on it it says "Application not found". I guess that means that the data of the app to the SD card is damaged. As I have photos and music on my SD card that still work, I really don't want to format it, but don't know what to remove to make these icons disappear from my app menu!

I'm not bothered all re - install apps, this isn't a problem for me at all, but the main question opens the application menu and the first page and a half being nothing else than these icons 'app not found! " I have attached a picture. As they do not appear in the list of applications in environments more that I can't get rid of them!

Thanks for your time guys, hoping someone can advise!

EDIT: Just tried to remove the SD card and reboot my phone, but these icons of the action plan are still show which is very disturbing!

Alternatively, you can try to reset the home screen settings-> Apps-> all-> House Xperia-> clear data-> OK but please note that this will reset your homescreen by default parameters (widgets, shortcuts).

  • A satellite - SD card disappears a few seconds later

When I insert an SD card into the built in card reader of my Toshiba laptop (with OS win 7 * 32 bit) continuously, the SD card reader appears as a drive (and shows its menu autoplay) and seconds and disappears later. This continues to be away and never moved. Also, it shows and unshows as a disk set is not.

One thing is that this behavior will occur if the card into the slot when the laptop is turned off and then removed (and reinserted) sometime after the next startup. If the card slot is empty, when I shut off and then after the next boot if I insert the card fine

No explanation for this mysterious behavior and no workaround? I have recommended Toshiba installed the drivers for this device from SD slot and its controllers. If you please help me and to recommend what I can do or confirmt Hat this is acceptable and normal behavior

    Hello perfection,

    What laptop you have exactly?

You have the most recent driver from the official website of Toshiba card reader?

You use the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba?

Have you tried different SD cards and what cards exactly?

  • Ethernet card disappears after installing SP3 (T60 1951 - 45G)

    Hello!

I updated my Windows XP with Service Pack 3 yesterday and now it seems my ethernet card has disappeared. i.e., it acts to it has been disabled in the BIOS (not appearing is not in Manager devices etc..). I tried entering BIOS, hide, start, restart, enable in the BIOS and new shoe but no luck. In another thread, I've seen update people complain of broken MS and a clean install could solve the problem.

My question is if someone else had the same experience and if it is solvable without a clean install of a simplified SP3.

    My machine is a T60 1951 - 45G.

Everything else seems to work fine by the way, but I'll post if I find additional problems.

It is reported of SP3 break connectivity LAN/WAN on many laptops (TechNet) MSFN, MS forums. Not quite sure that the resolution is at this time and not quite certain that a new simplified installation of SP3 would be a fix for the problem. For some, SP3 disable WAN completely, while others issue with LAN. It seems that some drivers 'most recent' are the culprits.

Before doing something drastic, try reinstalling the Lenovo LAN drivers to see if that fix it, otherwise you may just have to go back to SP2 (nothing wrong with it on an existing machine, otherwise it works without problems). SP3, after all, is above all a cumulative (but with 'new') update, so really there is no big reason for updating a working and XP - SP2 system with this new service pack update.

On a side note, remember to check if installed KB941644 inadvertently as part of the update - it's a "fix" that is known to cause a number of problems of connectivity (insoluble).

You can see here (MS XP questions) to see if there is a solution to your problem.

    Hope this clears up things

  • shortcut for deskjet 8600 pro has disappeared. Re-run the installation program does not help. How can I get that back?

When I bought and installed my Pro Deskjet 8600 in last July, a wonderful control program has been installed. However, the shortcut on the desktop for this program has disappeared, and I can't. Re-run the installation program does not help. How can I get that back. All I have now is an older version of the HP Solution Center, which does not have the features that I got into the habit of.

    Hello

Uninstall the software by following programs > HP > HP Officejet Pro 8600 > Uninstall.

Then download and install the latest version of the software below, it is a more recent software and should solve the problem you are experiencing:

  • I can't create shortcuts to applications on my desktop (returns message dik is full)

My opus system is Windows Vista 32-bit, Enterprise edition, when I try to craete a shortcut to google chrome, ccleaner or other application, in my de4sktop, that I get a message failed to create the shortcut, the disk may be full or no space in the disk, which is not correct. So I try to make the shortcut by copying--> paste in desktop, and then I have the problem of two shortcuts for each of the appsin the same time, working both at the office.

I've tried create a new user account (test) with admin rights and then change the old admin user rights to limited and then removing the double icons and go back to the old account rights change admin once again, removing the new user (test) and restart, but nothing.
Any suggestions pls? I'm a little confused... Thnx in advance...

Looks like that the user's desktop all both your desktop of the user profile are pointing to the same folder. Your office is composed of two merged records (most registry SPECIFIC icons like my computer).

Click Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator. Type Regedit.

    Access

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

and ensure that the Office is of type Reg_Expand_SZ and value %userprofile%\desktop.

    Access

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\User Shell Folders

and to ensure that the joint office is of type Reg_Expand_SZ and value %public%\desktop.

  • NO WIFI - Wifi network cards disappeared? (Door NV53A)

WiFi network cards are missing out on not the case.   The computer (gateway NV53A) is about 4-5 years.   There is no hardware or even any change in software.  Internet just crapped out and is only way to connect through the ethernet cable.

How network cards could simply disappear?   The brief research, I just watched (from a few years), it seems that there is a problem with Microsoft and that they will not take ownership or offer support/fix.    Did someone come up with a fix?

Did you follow my advice, I gave you at the end of another Thread of yours, who spoke of the reinstallation of the operating system?

"It is not a problem with Microsoft.

It would be either material failed with the Wi - Fi to become corrupted drivers Wi - Fi.

Some model laptops have even a switch to turn on or off the Wireless.

Go to this site of gateway > set NV53A to research of product model and you will find the drivers for it.

He was released only with Windows 7 64 bit.

There are 3 different Wireless LAN Drivers here, you'll have to find the one that you have.
