Sierra, El Capitan

I wanted to upgrade my MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2009, Version 10.), but after finding out that my computer is not only to the requirements (end of 2009) I decided to go to El Capitan instead, but after looking at the App store I can find is no longer. Is there any where that I could still get a permit or any other method of upgrading to El Capitan or same Yosemite.

Thank you

If you was not owner El Capitan before September 20 have either in your account or with a program downloaded installation Apple does not offer a legal way to get longer, at least in the United States where I am.

  • Downgrade macOS Sierra El Capitan question

    Hi all

earlier today, I upgraded my Mac mini (end 2012) to the latest version of macOS Sierra.

After 1 hour of use, I realized that many of my plugins FCPX were not working.

I contacted the developers, and they said does not update the plugins and they told me to go back to El Capitan.

I decided to listen to them and try to downgrade my OS.

I restarted the Mac and held down Cmd - R or something like that that took me to the disk utility screen.

Then I went down to dinner, and when I returned 30 minutes later my Mac had entered the sleep mode for some reason any.

I woke up the Mac and 40 seconds later the power went out for 5-10 minutes.

After the blackout, I restarted my Mac that took me to a black screen with a flashing question mark folder.

I followed some tutorials online (including how to enter get - and the recovery of internet mode), but after a while even restoration of the internet shows me the flashing question mark folder.

I don't know what to do.

And no - unfortunately I don't have a Time Machine backup.

But I have a backup with all my most important files.

Is it possible to force the Mac to reset itself or something like that?

    Help, please.

    Best regards

  • Unable to Scan to the computer after downloading macOS Sierra. Is this a software problem?

How can I scan from HP Envy 4500 to computer after downloading macOS Sierra?

    Hello wdemetris,

Thanks for asking for scanning helps here in the Apple Support communities. I understand how it is important to have access to your scanner and am happy to offer help for this.

As a precaution, we always recommend that you have backups to make sure that all your data is safe. You can perform a backup using Time Machine and an external hard drive. Use this article to help make a backup of your Mac: use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac.

Then, in accordance with article help: printer and scanner for Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, and the Mavericks macOS software, the HP Envy 4500 e-all-in-one is supported for printing and scanning. The drivers must be installed, but if not, if it please go to the App Store and check the updates tab to see if there are updates for HP. If there is, please install.

If you have only general questions about how to get your updated scanner in place or how to scan pictures, please check out these two articles: macOS Sierra: implement a scanner & macOS Sierra: scan images or documents. If everything is configured correctly and you still have problems scanning, please visit this help article: macOS Sierra: scanning troubleshooting.

Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.

  • the preview window does not show the document that I'm about to print in Sierra

The preview window does not display the document that I'm about to print. This problem started as soon as I upgraded to Sierra. It occurs in many applications - including in Microsoft Excel 2011.

    Hello, David Bry1,.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand that when you try to print from a number of different applications, you do not see the preview of the document you are printing. I would like to assure you that I see the preview as well when I print. Let's see how we can get this resolved.

I advise you to ensure that the printer software is up-to-date on your printer Brother DCP-7065DN. Please choose 'Available Software' brother printer and scanner software for macOS Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, and Mavericks

If a software update is available, please install and then test and see if you get the same result.

    Have an amazing day!

If I understand the scan does not work on the BONE of the Sierra.

Don't worry, even if the following document does not mention Sierra, the Apple article will guide you through the steps to scan through

    David,

The order/way is to update the operating system, and then reinstall the applications. Which was how you did it?

If this isn't the case, it may be best to reinstall using the way complete three steps (the otherwise strange things may persist):

    (1) uninstall (check the box to delete the preferences),

    (2) run the cleanup tool, see the link below,

    (3) reinstall.

    To uninstall:

    https://www.Adobe.com/cfusion/search/index.cfm?loc=en_US&term=uninstall&cat=support&produc t = illustrator & auto = 1

You can try to jump 2) and see if it works without him.

Here are the instructions for the use of the cleanup tool:

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/creative-cloud/KB/CC-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

You may also need to update the drivers (Wacom and others).

There are several reports about problems, then you can consider getting back.

  • Unable to download from the app store 10.6.8

My main workstation (iMac) has worked so slow, that I decided to dust off my old Mac pro. I had forgotten how fast he is, or maybe I just took the habit to work on my iMac incredibly slow! Anyway, the only problem with my Mac pro is that I am on OS 10.6.8 - make my impossible navigation / insecurity. But when I visit the app store to upgrade my system I can't download anything at all. I click on the 'get' button and nothing.
Of course I restarted several times, I activate the debug mode on the app store, I emptied the cache and reset the app store through the menu debug, disconnected and once again, rebooted again... still nothing. I even created a new apple ID to try as I was running out of ideas.searched these forums (and others) and I can only find stuff related to an Apple discussed with their servers, all these threads are now quite old so I guess that these issues have been fixed?

Recently, someone at - he had this problem and solved it?

If your MacPro is a 2006 model or 2007, you can't update to El Capitan.

You can always buy codes redemtion for download Lion and Mountain Lion from the Apple Store online, not from the App Store, but these no longer receive security updates.

If your MacPro is a model of the 2008,2009 and 2010, you should be able to upgrade to El Capitan via the App Store.

On 20 September, Apple will release Mac OS Sierra, El Capitan will become more than likely unavailable.

and only the 2010 model and later will be able to upgrade to the new operating system.

Welcome to the community @Anton-Cross-1 HP

I read your post and wanted to comment. I checked the drivers on hp.com for your printer model to find out there are not full of features of updated the Sierra drivers. Of my own knowledge, complete drivers must be installed to scan from the printer to the computer.

Maybe the Apple link below can help. In the meantime, I'm not sure as to the if or when complete drivers will be released to 10.12. You will not be able to scan using HP software, then you can try on your Mac such as Apple Preview or Capture of Image methods.

  • How can I reinstall the new operating system of Illustrator

Had problems operating system on MAC - opens all the apps. Running Illustrator CS5.1. I deleted the app icon and tried to reinstall from my records, but it would not open the disk on the new OS of Sierra. Disk: Adobe Creative Suite Premium. Don't know what version of Illustrator is on it.

I also have a set of disks 'CS5 Design Standard' (I guess it was upgraded to 5.1?) Been long since install so don't know what what is that and what to do.

I tried to download from Adobe.com Illusrtator CS3 thought that was what was on the disks of CS Premium and working with impatience... I entered the serial number and it didn't work.

Q: what is CS Premium drive?

I have a serial number but don't know how to recover the Illustrator to download online. Help?

    Mike,

Apart from the possible (in) compatibility problems, you can download the suite CS5/requests here.

Download Adobe Creative Suite 5 products

    Update here and

You must complete the download of Sierra. It is a very large file and will take some time, especially on a slow Internet connection.

  • Problem starting el capitan (sierra) - built-in keyboard and the mouse do not respond

    Hello

I have a 2015 macbook pro (SSD 256, 16 GB of RAM last el capitan updated) with a wired problem.

I use it mainly to a cinema monitor and I use wireless keyboard and mouse (office installation program), and of course as a stand-alone laptop when I'm not at my desk.

When I put the laptop to sleep, everything works fine when I wake up.

but, if I'm away from the office and I have to restart my laptop, here is the problem.

The boot process is very very slow, there is no edge, and when I finally have the screen to unlock the safe, the keyboard and the touchpad do not react. Actually, that's not exactly true, they are so slow that they are unusable and get caught quickly, all gel. So I can't unlock and complete the boot. My laptop is unusable ;-(

At this point, I get a message that if I forgot my password I just need to reboot by pressing the power button, and I'll be able to reset it.

When I do this and aprΦs the dΘmarrage that more slowly than usual but ok, I get another screen with several options of problem solving. One of them is "keyboard not responding do not. When choosing this one, it asks if you want to remove safe. I tried and everything was back to normal.

later, I delivered safe and I had the same problem again. I did the thing to be able to restart again and improved to sierra in the hope that it would disappear. However, the problem is still there.

I thought I could try to restart my office to see if my keyboard and wireless mouse would still work. Indeed, even if responsiveness was not normal, I could unlock and fill the chest.

I have the impression that my laptop always "believe" it is on my desk, linked to my screen (probably the reason why I don't hear the Bell) and to my wireless K & M.

It's really annoying and I hope someone has a solution.

    Thank you very much

    best,

    Alex

I'm having a similar problem with macOS Sierra which I didn't have with El Capitan.  I can possibly move the cursor on the power button and turn off (no), but I must be patient because the keyboard and trackpad are only for a fraction of a second, which only allows me to move the mouse slightly.  After he stop and start back up, everything is perfect until I tried another reboot, and then I'm back to the beginning.

I tried to reinstall the operating system, reset the SMC, resetting the NVRAM, reboot in SafeMode... nothing worked so far.

  • Where are the options of the trackpad in Sierra OS?  In El Capitan the trackpad there NO light tap (ENTER) and just one click HARD (ENTER) and could move the cursor.
