  I hope someone here could give me an idea about it.  I searched all over the web and cannot find much about this workflow.

  I intend to ingest live webcast stream SDI to Thunderbolt to create an edition of climax for the end of the show.  I've never used first to edit more.  I intend to update for files more 30 seconds.

  I have a few questions:

  (1) how much space do I need capture 6 + hours of action?  I intend to capture in AVCi100 or AVCi50.

  (2) what is the speed of data necessary for this?  SSD?  External USB 3.0?  I have an external dock through TB which can contain runs drives or SSD.

  (3) it is advisable to capture a large file or try it paused for smaller files, 30-60 min?

  (4) obviously I will try to get the best/faster computer to do this, but would be a 2.3 GHz MBP i7 with 16 GB DDR3 RAM work?

  No indication of this workflow would be highly appreciated.
