Simulating the varistor

Hi all, I'm having difficulties simulating the varistor. I use family MISC---> eyes power group V430MA7B. The circuit is quite consistent simle a varistor in parallel with DC power and a 10 Ohm load. According to the data sheet of the DC maximum voltage VDC 365, where entire tip above this value should be set to 365 VDC. I placed a source 380 VDC in parallel with the varistor and the load. Simulation step size is set at a fraction of the microseconds, so that I can watch the action of clamping, because he can't stand up. voltage for a certain number of microseconds. in any case, I enclose the file. The circuit is extremely simple, but I'm puzzled as to why the action of tightening is not reached.

Thank you.

Kind regards

Viktar

A few problems with your circuit:

1. you are addressing the same knot of tension using each channel scope. You should not expect the tension to be different! If you hope to see voltage clamping of behavior by the varistor voltage detection, you must insert a resistance range of the source.

2. the varistor is unidirectional and you've hooked backwards (Yes, the symbol unfortunately does not clear to see).

In the attached circuit, I test the varistor by running an analysis of scanning Dc on the connecting in parallel with the varistor input source. Note that I'm probing perceive it. You can see that there is a knee around 430V.

Hope that helps.

  • Simulating the different devices in the JDE

    Hello..

Currently with my JDE 4.6 it only allows me to simulate a storm and the 8900. I want to simulate my app on a few different devices (to see how it looks and feels more small/more large screens). I was just wondering how to install of new simulators for my JDE and where can I get them out?

I'm new on this and any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

Devices come usually with of the JDE. You can download new devices by downloading the new JDE versions. You can then run the emulator from the command line and choose to install the application in the menu. Point of the dialog in the JAD/COD that you created and it will be installed in the emulator. Of course, you can simply use the new JDE to build and run your project but if you try to maintain compatibility with a version of the OS, but testing on the new devices, which tends to work ok.

  • get to see the list of device only simulated pxi card

    Hello

I use the nodes property of the system and peripheral DAQmx to get the logical name two card PXI, PXI-5441 and PXI-5610.

When I ran the vi, nothing came.

I then added a device simulated, the logical and physical name named were recovered.

No idea why my vi does not return the two actual cards info?

    Thank you

    Olivier

    Hello Olivier,.

The reason why your module PXI-5441 and PXI-5610 do not appear in the list of devices is because they are not DAQmx devices. You can get the same information using the niModInst get attributes of polymorphic VI installed device.  Of course, you also need to use the public meeting of the installed devices niModInst and niModInst screws of Session of installed devices close as well.

  • How to make my waveform in the simulation design and control work continuously?

Hi all, I m a begineer to Labview and have a few question.

I use the Labview to design and implement a controller for FOPTD system, but I found that the waveform in the 'loop control and simulation"does not work continuously. I mean keep repeating in the same graph from 0 to 10 seconds. Is there an approach to make it run continuously?

    Thank you very much.

Whenever a loop Control Design and Simulation is executed, it connects a full simulation, the initial time for the last time. When you drop a new loop CD & Sim down, the default values are zero second initial time and 10 seconds for the last time. I guess what you probably want is for simulation do not stop at 10 seconds. Double-click the left node attached to the CD & Sim loop and extend the end time. You can change the end of 'Inf' time if you want it to run until the VI is stopped.

  • Unable to connect to the Simulator (169.254.0.1)

I installed the new Simulator available for VMware Player and have successfully startet it. (Windows 7)

The Simulator have internet access (I launched a web page in the browser)

But I can't connect to the device either by ping it in cmd command prompt or the

    plugin in eclipse.

It is said in the Simulator: use development mode ON and development addresses 169.254.0.1

    Any ideas?

The value in the security setting is the IP address that will be used when a PlayBook is connected via USB.  You can connect the debugger using the WiFi IP address or IP address of the USB device.

In the case of the Simulator, the USB connection is not possible if you need to connect using the simulated WiFi connection.

The icon on the home screen shows all of the IP addresses, you can use to connect to (it will show WiFi and USB IP addresses if both are available).

  • Use Loader() to display the image in the Simulator?

    Hi all

This is a very specific question: it seems that the Flex Hero Loader() class does not work when loading an image file in the Simulator.

When to use flash.display.Loader to load and display an image file,

It works fine when run on emulator Burrito, but nothing appears when running PlayBook Simulator (the image file is accessible on the Simulator: I can see his name and size)

Anyone know if something is wrong with the Simulator and Loader()?

    Thank you.

the problem is on the URL, which should include "file://".

  • by using the Simulator on Eclipse

I have been using eclipse for the coding and packaging, this is a nice tool.  -for debugging, I used the Blackberry JDE. Currently running the Simulator in the BB JDE is not complicated but when multiple API versions has to be tested as well as having a production version and a version of development running the number of workspaces increases. I therefore decided to take a go at the Simulator in Eclipse. After an hour I had it almost working but finally ends and "Device error - Blackberry Smartphone Simulator", "the catastrophic Assertion failure". If the BB JDE Simulator is "screwdriver", the eclipse is a double "Swiss Army Knife". So many settings and not a lot of explanation (that I found). Is there a 'manual' on the use of the Simulator on Eclipse somewhere?

For example. In the BB JDE, I put a flag on a module is a module system, and must be loaded initially. Not found in Eclipse. There are a lot of other parameters. I want just a basic configuration which works like the BB JDE. The main application is a Midlet and my modules are still running listeners

It is a mistake of the BlackBerry smartphone itself Simulator (Windows application), not simulated applications.

    Please, try the following:

    1. Click the Project menu in Eclipse.
    2. Choose BlackBerry-> own Simulator...
    3. Select all, and then click OK.

This will reset all the BlackBerry smartphone simulators to their default state.  Now repackage and run your application again.

  • "Enter password" calls while debugging using the 4.2.2.66 (8830-Verizon) Simulator

If I click on "Start the Simulator" the Simulator works well, but I'm trying to connect to a debugger, I get the following message:

    Password

If I don't get anything, the debugger connection times out.   I tried things like "password" and "blackberry", and the debugger just disconnects.  I've debugged using dozens of other simulators, and I have never seen it before.

Anyone know why this is happening?

    Thank you
    Mark

I believe that I have found a workaround.  I use the 4.2.1 JDWP.  If I use the JDWP 4.7.0 instead, I do not receive the password, and the debugger attaches successfully.

  • How to display the javascript error in the Simulator?

Hi, I have experience several problem in developing countries using webwork.

I use Blackberry webwork in plugin eclipse to develop the program, my Simulator is 9800 6.0.0.337.

I have the problem when I try to load his PIN and file reading / writing.

    var pin = blackberry.identity.PIN;

The example of read/write file I copied directly from the code sample download in Blackberry.com.

Two of them does not work. I want to use try {} catch (err) {} to warn of the error, but this return "undefined" for me.

Is this something that I forget to install?

Sorry cannot any more help because I think that most of these functions does not work on the playbook Simulator

(in your case test you on smartphone where I would expect most APIs to work..)

    Last try if...

Check the following line in your code example:

    var blob = blackberry.utils.stringToBlob(filecache);

    who do not:

    var blob = blackberry.utils.stringToBlob(textarea);

    ?

    Kind regards

    H.

PS: regarding the playbook Simulator the following are suspect - i.e., don't think they work:

    blackberry.utils.stringToBlob (somestring)
    blackberry.utils.documentToBlob (somedoc)

    blackberry.identity.getDefaultService)
    blackberry.identity.PIN
    blackberry.identity.IMSI

  • Integration of the outdoor camera with Simulator

    Hi all

In our application, we have the camera to capture images. We have always tested this feature by using the option "Simulation-> camera Image.." provided in the Simulator. However my client has built - in camera on his computer a laptop when he directs our application on the Simulator, the viewfinder of the Simulator uses the camera to the laptop and it is able to capture the image using the camera to the laptop, but he runs into a few exceptions after that. Is this really possible using the Simulator. I also read another thread that talks about it:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/webcam-connected-with-Simulator-camera/m-p/5...

but there is no official confirmation with this and I was not able to simulate the same no more. Could someone kindly help me with this.

FYI: tried this Simulator 9000 (OS 4.6) and 9700 (5.0 OS).

    Thanking you,

    Kind regards

    Hi all

I could get this to work. Sorry for the no official confirmation of the document in the link below talks about it:

    http://docs.BlackBerry.com/en/developers/deliverables/15497/BlackBerry_Smartphone_Simulator-Developm...

I noticed one thing was, if the external camera is already running the Simulator finder camera view does not detect the external camera. The only way I could do work was to connect the external camera and then start the camera via the Simulator and there you go it works! :-)

    Thanking you,

  • App won't start with the Simulator

    Hello

I met a lot of mistakes trying to get that deployed on the Simulator, most of them addressed by other posters.  I use the 0.9.3 beta version of the Simulator.

However, now I have this problem that I can not find the answer.

Flash Builder will not launch the application.  The following text is displayed in the console:

    Using the default icon: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4\sdks\blackberry-tablet-sdk-0.9.2\bin\... \samples\icons\blackberry-Tablet-default-Icon.png
    Package created: C:\Development\Mobile\PuzzletsPlaybook/PromoAppPlaybook.bar
    Picked up JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS:-Xmx1024M
    Sending request installation and launch...
Error: Username or password is invalid or not specified or time on the device is out of sync

I tried this FB parameter to use the Playbook password and not to use it, and fail both ways.

How can I fix it?  The Playbook must have a pw but I can't start my application.

Also, I use VM Player as host of Simulator, the Playbook should be run in the Simulator or is it launched by FB?  I tried two ways does not.

    Thank you!

    Hey,.

It seems that you are using the latest sim but more old SDK. try to update your Tablet OS SDK of AIR and then try to deploy again. using the versions do not match led to mistakes in the past.

Here is the link to the latest SDK:

    Good luck!

  • If the mozpay is supposed to hit the postbacks URL 6 times?

I've set up mozpay in my application. When I send the jwt signed with postbacks to the app url, and then the application use it with mozpay, during the simulation, the postbackURL gets hit 6 times. I wanted to know if that is planned. If so I can work around it, but if it is not intended I would fix this problem instead.

Is it possible that the publications (postbacks 6) don't happen during the simulation?

I followed with the team on the market and it was a response that has been removed, but the answer is back now:]

  • Volume up button does not work like the shutter of the camera

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 9.2.1 (13D 15). The volume up button does not work on it like a camera shutter. I think that it used for, and iPhone to my wife 6 with the same iOS version works fine. It is a problem, because I am using this phone with a stick of selfie, which triggers photos by simulating the volume press up button, so it doesn't work at all for me. The physical button works - I can control the volume with her settings. And when I try to use the stick selfie, I get the volume until the display on the phone, so I can see that the signal of the selfie stick is received correctly by the phone. And the stick of selfie works with my other phone that is not a problem with the volume up button.

Work began after restarting the phone. So it's a bug to Apple report, the solution is to reboot the phone.
