Smart touch want 23: impossible to reset win 10

I was not able to reset my computer after that I upgraded from win 8 to 10 to win.  I tried the system restore and startup repair, got a message says "WDF_violation".

I also tried to restart the computer from a recovery disk on a USB hard drive that I created with Win 8. (I have successfully reset my computer with the same recovery disk before when my computer was still running under Win 8)

But that didn't work either. Computer rebooted just right back to win 10. It will not even read the hard drive.

I also repeated the same steps under safe mode, but it still doesn't work.

Exhausted the options in question.  Any suggestions?

Thank you

If the device is able to go to menu Menu ESC and F9 as you mentioned in the previous post, so yes it is repairable, but if the unit is under warranty then careby HP, otherwise there could be a cost involved to get this repaired.

Try to call and verify the repair cost if the unit is out of warranty and then probably decide to go with another or to address this problem, but if its guarantee then please send in for repair.

Although I work for HP, but I am personally.

  • Impossible to reset my Satellite phone to factory settings

    I am trying to format a Toshiba satellite laptop, he is 12 months old and has 8.1 of Windows on them.

    Obviously the recovery partition containing all the files isn't available recovery more likely it has been deleted or changed in the past
    A question:
    You can reset the OS configuration using this method?

    (1) in the charm of settings, click 'change PC settings. "
    2) click 'update & recovery' under your laptop settings.
    3) click on the "Recovery" tab
    4) click on "Get started" under "remove all" and reinstall Windows.
    (5) follow the on-screen instructions to complete the recovery.

    In case this is possible isn t, you must perform the recovery procedure using the recovery media (USB flash stick recovery or DVD disc)

I ran some diagnostic tests and everything has extracted o.k. tried to start in safe mode and it says: in each corner of the screen, but no safe mode toolbar or Windows is available. Just a black screen blank with the mode without failure of words. I tried to restart the computer for the last known successful startup and it's the same as before, the charges with a blue screen. Can someone help me? Thank you.

If this does not work all the better, but if follows does not only document and it will guide you on how to get your recovery disc.

  • XPS 14 - Factory Reset - win 8

    Hello

    I have a ultrabook of Windows 8 XPS 14 (L421X) - who doesn't have a CD/DVD optical drive.

    I have the restore disc (CD/DVD) that accompanies it. F2 / F12 does not give me an option of repair (only of the bios, diagnostics etc.).

    I want the system factory reset - how I can do it.

    Thank you

    Hi siftekhar,

    Would like to know the issue you are experiencing. I can help you to solve it without the restore options. However, if you still want to do a factory restore you will find these useful steps.

    It seems that you are not able to boot into the operating system. In this case, you can try to crash your system 3 to 4 times to access the Advanced Recovery Options. For crashing Windows 8 system, you can turn off the system while it is trying to load the Windows operating system (i.e. Dell logo during the indirect approach of the points appear) by pressing and holding the power button down until the computer powers.

    However, if you are able to boot into the operating system, you can follow the steps below to return the laptop to factory settings i.e. on day one when you bought the laptop using Dell backup and restore.

    Note: This step leads to complete data loss if you select the option to delete files in step 10

    Dell Backup and Recovery can recover the operating system or the backup of the recovery partition. To recover the operating system from the recovery partition, follow these steps:

    1. Plug the power adapter.
    2. Turn on the laptop.
    3. Click on the button power on the low side to the right of the screen.
    4. Press in and hold the SHIFT key on the keyboard and then click restart in the options provided.
    5. Click troubleshoot from the options on the screen after a reboot.

    6. Click the Dell backup and restore .

    7. The system restarts and returns to the top, click Next in the screen Dell backup and recovery.

    8. The system would be checked to see if the chip repair option can solve the problem, click Next once this is done.

    9. We will ask to select the backup to use, click the picture factory option or select one of the backups. Click Next.

    10. You will be asked to save your files, if required to do so by selecting the option Yes, save my personal files (Make sure to have a backup external hard drive very practice.) or select No, erase my files.

    11. The system goes ahead and ends at the restoration of the operating system. Click restart when you are prompted.

    12. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the system with windows.

    If the options above, done does not work, you may need to install the windows 8 manually using the recovery discs using an external USB optical drive.

    I hope this helps. Answer please if you have any other questions.

  • Impossible to reset values LOV

    Hello

    I have a jsff page. I have LOV dependent as below

    JDEV version: 11.1.1.5.0

    LOV_A
    LOV_B
    LOV_C
    LOV_D
    LOV_E

    LOV_B depends on LOV_A
    LOV_C, LOV_D depend on LOV_B
    LOV_E depends on LOV_D

    LOV are working properly and to submit, the main Main_VO which holds these LOV is < B > application < /B > VO not based on entities.

    < b > < /b > problem: impossible to reset values LOV selected

    < b > approaches followed up here < /b >:
    1 ResetButton

    2 CommandButton control with < af:resetActionListener / > and immediate = "true" >

    3. at the bean, I tried to update the Main_VO with the code below
    currentRow.refresh (currentRow.REFRESH_UNDO_CHANGES); Here the line current is slected line in the user interface
    Fortunately this resets the values of all the drop downs, unfortunately LOV contains previously triggered lists and even addiction is lost

    4. I changed the LOV_A value attribute like below as suggested by Frank in a thread

    < af:selectOneChoice < b > value = "#{backingBeanScope.AddEventOnOrderReleases.BindVariable}"< /b > "
    label = "#{bindings." BsResponsiblePartyGid1.label}.
    required = "#{bindings." BsResponsiblePartyGid1.hints.mandatory}.
    shortDesc = "#{bindings." BsResponsiblePartyGid1.hints.tooltip}.
    ID = "soc2" autoSubmit = "true" rendered = 'true '.
    Binding = "#{AddEventOnOrderReleases.BindVariable} '"
    valueChangeListener = "#{AddEventOnOrderReleases.selectBSResponsiblePartyGId}" >
    < f: selectItems value = "#{bindings." BsResponsiblePartyGid1.items}.
    ID = "si2" / >
    < / af:selectOneChoice >

    This change, I see a conversion error cannot convert < b > Integer < /b > < b > RichSelectOneChoice < /b >

    In this regard, any help is appreciated.

    Thank you
    Agnes.

    To reset a lov you must rest value the lov stores selection too.

  • Envy h8: after Windows 10 reset impossible to reinstall win tv software

    I upgraded to windows 10 8.1 all on time and everything seemed fine. Then last week I found that several functions do not work on the PC. As Start button, Windows Store, some of the apps etc etc. Is not too worried but thought I'd reset after having read about it on the Microsoft Web site. Followed the instructions and kept my files but when the PC has finiished I found that all who have been with the PC or software I had installed had disappeared.

    I've always had the installation disks for the software I have installed, but couldn't know how resinstall the software preinstalled, when I bought the PC. Most of it I don't mind, but I would really like to reinstall Win Tv7.

    I remember vaguely seeing awhile back on the resettlement of the recovery partition software but can't seem to do it now and the HP website has only an update for Win TV for windows 8.

    Anyone got any ideas please?

    Gordonmac8

    Hello;

    Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

    I read your post about the problems with Win TV and wanted to help - but we need more information.

    We need the details of your PC product number.  There should be a sticker with this information on the case.

    There is more than one model of your laptop, and we need the specific model number to search for information on this subject.

    I personally found the updates of Win10 to be a mixed bag - a work very well, plus have problems, some fail miserably!

    The only way to reinstall the HP software that is preinstalled on the PC is to use something known as HP recovery media.  It is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

    If you are interested in this approach, then let me know - and I'll see if the recovery media is available by using the product number of details of your PC.

    As for versions of the software, unless the PC is delivered with Win10 preinstalled HP, even if there is a version Win10 of the HP software, he has no way to download and install it.  So, you would have the same problem.

    We can proceed once you provide the information.

    Thank you

  • k001a 23 want no admin has to win 8.1 recovery

    Hi team,

    my envy touch 23, Win 8.1locked running. I rebooted and happening right now in diagnostic mode.  When I try to choose advanced options such as the restoration of the system or the Startup Repair, he says he needs an administrator account to carry this point, but there is no such account on this computer.

    There is only one account for the computer, a Windows account that has administrator rights, then I do not understand this message.

    I don't have Windows automatically updated so that it was not in the middle of nothing when it restarts.

    While most of the data files is saved, I need to recover my email folders before anything drastic like reset is done.  I tried to create a bootable Linux USB flash drive to enter the files but I can not even start, despite changes to the BIOS so that it the first option.

    So, 2 problems:

    1. lack of an administrator account.

    2. impossible to boot from the flash drive.

    I send you this since another device HP - Touchsmart Sleekbook want also winning 8.1.  I think I'd have the same problems with lack of admin account?

    Thanks for your help

    Have you tried to 'Legacy Boot Sources' in the F9 menu via the attached USB?

    Have you tried a bootable CD/DVD instead of USB?

    Have you tried HP PC Diagnostics UEFI to test the hardware of the system running?

    You may have a hardware failure that prevents you from starting Windows.

    Screening of hardware failures

    If nothing else works you may need to remove the hard drive, install it in an external hard drive enclosure and then plug it into another PC to access your files.
