  Hi all

  I just bought my first Blackberry (curve) for personal use.  My provider is ROGERS - also set up everything I would need for Internet, email etc...

  I have set up the CD and put sinc all contacts, calendar etc... SO FAR, LOVE IT!

  I have a few questions?

  1. I can't open the internet browser - "no longer" on my phone.  I get a message that I am unable to connect to the internet and contact my ISP.  (Yes, guys... I have checked the forum and have tried the 'register', but am still unable to open the browser.  Any suggestions before I have to call and wait hold forever? The most confusing thing, it is that I receive all my emails and can text but can not go online?

  2 - I got a HTC Touch phone before my BB8310 and much of the Rogers music store downloaded music on my computer.  My question is: How can I transfer these to the BB?

  3 - my BB has GPS.  No maps so?  Is it because of the problem of the internet that I question or do I have to download these maps?  The cards can be downloaded on my pc and then transferred to the BB?

  I have a BB8300 with a 4GB MicroSD card and after reading all the problems associated with music, I understand the best way is to activate mass storage, close all programs BB on computer and add to that the music sub-folder Blackberry/music my question is should I put subfolders for each album or simply place the music by individual tracks?   If you want to sort records in your blackberry, you must ensure that the information is in the ID3TAG of mp3 files. Creating folders will not help you (although it will be easier for you when you use Windows Explorer).

  Don't forget that you can also use iTunes to sync with the new "Blackberry Media Sync".

  I grew up on BES and seeks to upgrade the phone to my wife (a moto Q w/verizon using wirelesssync which provides the full synchronization of OTA - email, calendar, contacts, etc. - w/outlook). I understand that without a BES, BIS only synchronizes e-mail (calendar, contacts, etc. should be done via USB?). Here is the rookie question: does BIS for synchronization of full e-mail with outlook (readings, deletions, etc. on the PC or the BB) - or are there other limitations?

  I don't like to lose the full OTA sync, but would be ready to give that up if the synchronization of outlook e-mail via BIS works exactly like the BES. e-mail is an address of @ameritech.net (yahoo). phone would an 8330. Thanks much for the ideas that you can share.

  Not quite acutally.

  BIS does not synchronize or reconcile email 'most'. He left with Gmail, Yahoo and IMAP mail servers. It does not reconcile all mail on the pop server And none of this with Outlook (i, e., if you delete an email in Outlook, it will not be deleted on your BB, except in some configurations of IMAP where Outlook also deletes the message on the mail server, it then reconciles this deletion on the BB.)

  Honestly, if you want full mail reconcile, you should look into an exchange server hosted for her, such as

  you just set up email on your phone accounts or have they been here for a while? BlackBerry's push e-mail rather than sync emails only when you configure the address do not exist on the device.   Well, until this morning, 08:32 my device connected to the internet totally don't fine - no problems.

  Now, I can not connect at all! I tried a BBM ping and test the message to a friend, I sent my service books, made 6 or 7 battery pulls and uninstalled apps that I installed last night. Despite all this my phone doesn't let me connect to the internet.

  HIE Ozzy, it comes to your first post in fact unless you have a different user profile. About your problem, a thing of interest that I see if the fact that you were able to surf the internet for free for ages. BlackBerry services are paid for about US$ 10 per month. Maybe you were lucky and now the deficit has been filled. Then, contact your service provider and ask your BIS account status, maybe they will give you an answer, or else you can start paying for the data service on a monthly basis to the access service.

  Yes

  In the message list, place you on the first of many messages you want to delete, press on and hold the SHIFT key while scrolling upwards or downwards to highlight more adjacent messages. Press the DELETE key (or Menu > delete).

  You can also scroll over any separator date header bar and press Menu > delete prior and all messages before this date will be deleted.

  I have an MSN e-mail account, and since I had a VISTA computer () in August, I had to use Hotmail to access, but that's another story!

  How can I get ALL my folders (sent, Junk, so my folders mail filtered) will be displayed on the Blackberry?

  Ok! I don't understand, because the messages are filtered out BEFORE they reach the BB, they are not displayed. They reside on the mail server in these places filtered. I want to say is there is no way to copy these files filtered in

  the Blackberry.

  for example. Although I understand that you want to filter, if you were to remove the filters on the e-mail server, then you would see all the messages in all groups forming on your BB. Once again, you will need to access these files filtered through the msn mail browser to manage and separate them.

  Hi, I picked up a BB Bold 9900 after having a nightmare of a week with my BB Torch that I had been used for more than a year.  I have the following problems with my two phones:

  Phone NEW-BB Bold 9900:

  Despite transfer all my contacts from the torch to the "BOLD", many contacts are missing from my contacts list in the "BOLD".  Why is this?  These are still visible in my flashlight.  Therefore, it is absolutely useless for me to buy a BB if it is even impossible to recover my entire contact list.  Quite frustrating!

  FORMER telephone - BB Torch 9800:

  (1) touch screen, red touchbutton and keyboard are dysfunctional.

  (2) in spite of the withdrawal of the SIM card, the 'search box' on the home page seems to be hitting hlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhl... automatically WITHOUT ANY CONTRIBUTION whatsoever! (goose bumps!)

  (3) BB Desktop Software version is updated according to the update link.  Says the ad Office device using the latest version.  So not the possibility of an upgrade.

  How can I solve the problems with the two above devices? Help, please!

  With you your old phone, connection to BlackBerry Protect with your BlackBerry ID and do a data backup.  If you do not have BlackBerry Protect installed on your old phone, take the time now to do.  You can find Protect www.blackberry.com/protect from the browser of your phone visit BlackBerry App World.

  Then, once your backup is complete, remove the battery from your old phone while it is turned on and with the SIM card still in it.  Replace the battery a few seconds later.

  Now, remove your SIM card from your old phone and put in to the new.  Turn on your new phone and the connection once more to protect (the connection can be found using the link above).  He will see that you have changed phones and will ask you if you want to associate your new phone with Protect.  The answer is Yes.  When it is connected to the Protect, look for the icon Restore From A Backup File and select the backup file that you just created.  Load on your new phone, make sure he restored correctly, then you can remove your old phone of protection if you want.

  It's the best way I know to deal with the situation.  Give it a try and post back with your results.

  So I just got my first blackberry (bought one that has been used on eBay) and he seemed completely new except for a tiny nick on the back cover, but the screen has been impeccable. However, I noticed that for selecting things (alias ' click on ' the trackball), he did not have a click or pushing the feeling at all, it was as if I was contacting the trackball that does not move or make any sign to be pushed. Is it supposed to do this or do normally a clicking or by pushing the feeling? Also, it's some sort of weird scraping noise when I scroll and things, but it didn't matter. Any help?

  Hello

  I just bought my first blackberry (9900) yesterday and I went through the Setup process, which included the creation of a Blackberry ID. But for some reason, he wouldn't let me do anything related data, for about an hour after I started to use the phone, so I thought that maybe it had to do with the Blackberry ID.

  I went to my email account and clicked on "cancel registration of ID blackberry" and created a new. The thing is, my phone is always "associated with" this account first, and now whenever I go into Options > devices > Blackberry ID, I have to log in with this account, but it no longer exists! I tried to recreate the same account, but the screen name is not available for me to use.

  Problem solved! I saved just all the stuff I need, and who was basically just contacts and bbm groups, on my computer and performed a wipe of security on the 9900. Basically gave me a clean slate to start with, and I was careful not to make the same mistake!

  Just thought I'd post this in case someone had a similar problem.
