Smartphones blackBerry lost ALL memory

Basically, I woke up this morning and there was a white screen with small text in the middle. I removed the battery and put it again and all my memory was gone. Texts, contacts, photos, pins, information about the application and all that. It was as if I just bought the phone.

I connected my phone to my computer to save and it did not work. So I wonder what has gone wrong and if I can fix it.

Looks like that the phone memory has been shattered. It is difficult to say what might have caused it and why it happened, but if the data went, he has unfortunately disappeared. That said, if you have a previous backup, you can restore these data and get at least some of your data, or if you have used a service such as BlackBerry Protect, you who can restore much of your data.

Unfortunately, if you do not have a previous backup, and if you did not have BlackBerry Protect installed, there may not be much you can do except from scratch.

I hope this info helps.

This certainly isn't the first time that I am losing all my data. It's so frustrating that I am strongly considering leaving BlackBerry and switch to another brand.

An assistance service, you can call and talk to a real person also seems to be not implemented to BlackBerry. Maybe they hate costomers?

Key. Don't come here to criticize the volunteers very well here, either. Check my 26 000 posts here and see how understanding I have for frustrated users. I have very little understanding for rudeness.

I can count tens of thousands of users who have been helped here.

It is excellent for those thousands, but is not strange is that a device needs a forum where thousands of users need to go to get help because they are lost or frustrated. The best provider is a provider that does not need a helpdesk because everything is clear. This seems to be impossible these days

Of course, it is not strange that there is a forum like this. You have quite a learning curve high on BlackBerry, and you have users. Combine the two and you have gobs of questions.

  • Smartphones blackBerry lost all my emails and now I can't respond to most recent emails

OK, I know for a fact that we are not in the month of April, so I was not stupid Rascal by prank in April. I connected my phone on the charger, last night, as I do on a daily basis and this morning I wake up all of my missing emails and when I want to answer some emails, all I have for the options are:

    Switch App

    Save as draft

    Full menu

I went into options and my emails are set to be deleted after 30 days, but he was not more than 2 weeks because I opted for the bb smartphone data package... Plan of the family at & T 10 GB.

The only thing I can think off the fact that we spend time to 1 hour before but that sounds extremely illogical to me.

    I'm on a "BOLD" worm 7.1.0 package 9900 2543

I read here that my notebook of maintenance may be corrupt, but only service CMIME book that I find is for 1 e-mail account (on 4) and when I delete it and restore then, nothing happened.

I did the old disconnect the battery to reset the bb, but has not as well.

Again, I have not changed, edited anything on my email accounts because I made them at the beginning. The only thing that I remember I did was I plugged the phone into the charger once and about 5 minutes later I unplug the unit to use, 10 to 15 minutes later, I plugged it upward and fell asleep, but once again... I doubt seriously that this Jack my entire email settings.

Sorry for the long rant, I try to be as careful as I can. Lose my email isn't a big deal since I have them on my outlook Inbox, but it becomes a bit boring that I lost on my device and not able to answer them.

Thanks and sorry if this has been posted before, none of the answers I found helped me personally.

EDIT: I just went to Thunderbird and I myself sent a test email to all email accounts that I have on my BB, they all came immediately but I have been unable to answer one of them. I wonder if remove/uninstall accounts emails that I have on my BB and a fresh install would solve the problem.

Still, I'd like to know what happened and why he has done it well.

It seems that I was stuck trying to answer an email that came in before I made any changes and why I thought that it did not work.

After some additional testing, I am now sure that everything I did worked, and Yes, I wait for all future emails on registration and activation before you pull the battery.

I'm still a little angry that I have to wait until tomorrow to meet this customer of my outlook at the office but happy that I had my email working again... Although why is past will be nag at me for a few more days lol.

    Thanks again for your help.

I need a lot of help or I could quit having a Nokialand BB...

    Hiya!

OK so it only gives you access to an email from the company, this indicates that you do not have a package given BlackBerry to the valid address. Call your provider and ask them to add a Blackberry data plan.

Note: a generic data plan will NOT work, must be specific Blackberry.

It was access you the BIS and your BBM, Email, browser, network etc. Will begin to work and you will have the "personal e-mail configuration" option on this screen

Hello and welcome to the community!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  • Smartphone blackBerry Bold 9000 memory integrated improvement

    Hi guys,.

I was wondering if there is a way to improve the 128 MB built-in memory for applications of BB. I have 2GB micro SD inserted and Im would not be used except to store music and video files. Is it possible to use SD Noor for the application memory, or the memory of 1 GB on the "BOLD" which I NEVER USE at all!

PLEASE HELP, as I am running out of memory when I download new applications on my "BOLD"...

    Cheeeers

    Mr2002

    Hello!

The quick answer to your question is 'no' - the amount of AppMemory is fixed and no another type of memory can be used to increase the amount of AppMemory. This is a physical limitation that cannot be overcome. There are tips and Add-ons that will swap apps in and out of AppMemory if necessary, but the application can be run within the AppMemory.

As a result, the long answer...

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD memory card

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media - is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

On some devices/OS levels, you can see 'Free file' (Options > status), I think this is equivalent to AppMemory. You can see on other devices, all the memory usage levels three (Options > memory). Here are some tips to use:

Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. Rather, to close an application, press the BBKey and select 'Farm' or 'Quit'... that forces the application to be closed, freeing for your new use the resources it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

    Best!

    Good luck!

My phone lost in my house for months. Everyone is not how to follow because I do not have blackberry protect on it. Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

If he has been lost for months and was left running, then it is likely, that the battery died, denying any possibility to follow.

If it was not running, then he still can not be followed, even if you had what you need to do.

The ability to track a device in such situations must be placed on the device before the sinister going on... like insurance, it is not a reactive thing to do.

    Good luck!

  • Address Email blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry lost/deleted

    Hello

I recently went to the store I bought my Blackberry because that some features of the application were not working. The problem has been fixed, but at the same time as my email address has been accidentally deleted by the employee, I contacted my carriers technical support to get the e-mail retrieved, but they had informed me that the email has been deleted.

is the address and I would like it to be retrieved.

    Thank you.

    Juliana.

This really isn't the best place to come for advice iCrap. This is a forum of BlackBerry.

    Peep says:

Wonderful that MTS 'lied' to me!  Makes feel me a lot better in this...

Yes, they lied to you. It must empower the MTS for this.

You can think what you want, I'M helping you. Otherwise I would not ask the questions that I have, or giving you'll "Councils" acting kind around here. If you make comments of the iPhone, I can answer. Just, right?

    Peep says:

To answer your questions: I don't know what they mean by deleted.  That's what told me the MTS agent that they "accidentally deleted/erased my email account & that a Director of RIM will provide me the steps to retrieve.   (He was the person who wrote the original post on this site...)  I guess that means my camera - but I only got this phone (only) for a year, then unlke, I'm not an expert & do not know. My account was never closed for some reason any.  He was "upgraded" as far as I know, but I don't know anything more then that.   I would just get my BB email... that's all.

Ok. Back to the real issue.  I understand now. Here's what you need to do.

Get on the MTS agent's phone, or another and explain to them that THEY have to 'COMMUNICATE' this problem until the RIM level tech support, RIM technical support level two. Use these words... Ask., so require, make them do. They need to "intensify" their problem they have caused RIM to determine if RIM can UN-make their mistake.

You pay MTS technical support with your monthly contract. Require it. Don't let them push you here where they know we cannot fix their mistake.

    Good luck.

  • Where Smartphones blackBerry is my memory last? Ugh! No memory for pix!

    Hello

I tried to take a few pictures with my storm last night when I was at a party and when I tried to do, I got an error message.

I can't show you a picture, you cannot add attachments, but the error message reads:

(letter i icon) File system error

(the folder icon) / Device memory/home/user/photos

Name: IMG0007-200... (name of the photo)

I looked everywhere that I have air...

I went to the Options... Memory and looked at what I had available. Here's what I found:

    Application memory

    Free space: 9.6 MB

    The device memory

    Total area: 879.2 MB

    Free space: 0.0 KB

    Multimedia card

    Total space: 7.3 GB

    Free space: 5.6 GB

Of course, the glaring problem is that I don't have ANY free space on the device.  Where everything is?  I have a 8 GB memory card and I have uploaded about 150 songs in my Storm. However, I have not downloaded photos or anything else. What happened to all the memory?   Where everything is?

I tried a couple things like turn market, pulling out the memory card, etc... I tried to attach the storm and then sneaked in the records themselves and the only things I could find in ALL files was my MP3 files.

    Anyone know what's happened here?

    Thank you!

    Rob

Hey, I got a Blackberry Curve 8530 and recently installed the Memory Booster v 4.1 which is I love this aoplication, but not really sure of the settings I should use. In the menu of this application. It reads 'Best practices' for preserving battery YOU MUST use this setting "auto boost - YOU, Boost - every 15 minutes and pushed - when memory is less than 10%..." OK, I can see stimulate every 15 minutes if I spent my whole day online doing business but I did not. I use my BBerry for music and a bit of surfing online throughout the day. Is there anyone who could explain it to me or give me some parameters of reasonable boost for someone who only uses for recreation purpooses. Or have I misunderstood this app? I am a fairly new bberry user. In the journal of the thrust of the app, there is also the option "EXPORT to a CSV FILE"... What is a CSV file and when I use it? Thank you people here to help realize my bberry experience AWESOME. If it wasn't for this forum, I'd be a crazy user. Thanks again!

Propeller memory restores the device performance when running low on memory, running that he every so often can improve your BB experience on device that do not have a lot of free RAM left.

some of the troubleshooting logs can be transformed into a CSV file (Excel can open these) that you can archive on the MicroSD card.
