Smartphones blackBerry used to my phone lights up!

I was using my phone perfectly well and in working condition. Then I put it in charge overnight. I woke up in the morning to find that my phone won't turn on. When I tried to charge, the red light was about 5 to 10 seconds then turns off.  My phone still doesn't appear. Please tell me what happened and how I can solve this problem. I need to use my bbm urgent! It has been like that for 2 days now and I need to use my phone!

Hello and welcome to the community!

Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the whole 4h15m process, your BB should stay connected to a good charger (not the USB PC):

  1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
  2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
  3. Remove the battery
  4. Wait 15 minutes
  5. Insert the battery
  6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

  1. Get a known good and already fully charge battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
  2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

Good luck and let us know!

You will need the data Plan for BlackBerry on two accounts, including the one you want to use "light".

Now I have a second blackberry and want to get a blackberry for her id.  I have one for my first phone.  I tried to register, but it will not allow him as I tried to enter the same email address I use since when I recorded my first phone.  You cannot use the same email address as username for both as long as each has a unique password?

Fix. The second device must be completely separated from the other titles, and some of the powers is the e-mail address associated with the BB.

  • How Smartphones blackBerry frequency search new phone email?

    Hello

On my computer with Windows Mail, there is an option for how many times I want the program to check for new messages, for example: check every 15 minutes. Anyone know how many times the blackberry 8900 check new messages, or if there is an option to change the setting?

    Thank you, Matthew

BIS accounts on a systematic POP mail server will check every 15 minutes and push new email, then check again in two minutes and push new messages and repeat that during two rounds of two minutes until no new message is found and then go back to the cycle of 15 min, etc., rinse and repeat.

BIS IMAP accounts are instant push. Google and Yahool mail are instant.

There are no options for changing the cycle. It is determined by the type of the mail server you are using.

  • Question, security and confidentiality of Smartphones blackBerry using BES and BIS

I have a BB of work that is supported by a Blackberry Enterprise Server. I also have a yahoo staff & accounts gmail that I set up on my BB device. My concerns are:

    1. Are my emails yahoo & gmail routed through the server of the company or it comes directly from my phone provider
    2. If it is routed through my BES, is that questions of confidentiality for my private email?
    3. Is there a way to protect personal information when the data is routed through the company system BES

Frankly, I don't want my people to work never see my personal yahoo or gmail emails. This is why I am asking these questions.

    Thanks a ton!

    Hello.

    1. No, they are not being routed through the BES.  They will make your device through the pine and the NSE that you entered when you set up your BIS account directly.

    2 see #1

    3 see #1

If you are concerned about your personal data, perhaps you should consider getting your own device.  What I did (and I'm the BES Admin).

  • Problems of Smartphones blackBerry using Desktop Manager with Outlook 2000

Hi all, first time poster here and I'm pretty much at my wits end so I hope that you register here and asking experts will help me solve my problem!

I took possession of a BB Storm 9500 and fight to synchronize a folder of personal contacts within my work email client - Outlook 2000 SP3.  We use MS Exchange, but it is a very old version (5.5 (I think) and will be updated soon.  However, I want to synchronize my contacts folder using the BB Desktop Manager software and I have problems.

DM BB software does not recognize Outlook as a possible source for the calendar - lists that Outlook Express, Yahoo and ASCII Converter.  So I select the ASCII Converter after you export the PST calendar folder in a CSV (BACK), but when I open the field mapping option in the desktop software manager, the 'Email' field is not visible as a mapped field.  I can transfer just about everything (once I changed the listed fields exported from Outlook to match what awaits the Storm/DM software) but I can't for the life of me find where the Email data field is mapped to-he's just not here!

I tried to do a complete uninstall of the DM Software (cleaned up the registry, etc, etc) and reinstalled but still the same problem - does not recognize the existence of Outlook or the Email field.

According to the BB, it's loaded with v4.7.0.78 (Platform 4.0.0.98).

Is it possible to do what I want it to do?  Support muchly appreciated!

    Andy

Outlook 2000 is not supported by Desktop Manager version 4.3, 4.5, 4.6, 4.7 or.

It is supported in the Desktop Manager 4.2 Service Pack 2 version.

You'll either have to update your Outlook, or downgrade your DM.

  • Tabs of Smartphones blackBerry will not open / Phone turns

    Hey,.

So I was BBM'ing with my boyfriend when all of a sudden, on the background display screen, I could no longer click the folder of the screen. I tried all the other tabs in the files and nothing.

I clicked on the BB menu button, and who jumped to the top. But trying to open the files from there, nothing would happen.

I turned off my phone. When I click to re - turn my phone on, it won't.

I pulled my battery three times.

    I've restored my last upward.

    Still did not work.

I pulled again and waited a few seconds.

And always exactly the same. My phone doesn't help.

    Suggestions?

This looks like what I've seen several times on a device with moisture damage.
Even sitting on a countertop bath during a hot steamy shower or bath can cause problems with keyboard and trackball up to this JUST-withered.
Really, it is more common than you think.
1 the battery immediately! Do not turn on your BlackBerry device.
    2. allow the device to dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days * (see below)
    3. DO NOT "check it every day" by placing the battery in. Leave what would to dry completely. It takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can damage only (humidity + power = disaster).
    3. If the unit is hot after the drying period, let it cool to room temperature before placing the battery in the.

    * Suggestions on your BlackBerry in a warm dry place (open, with battery):

    • Place the BB in a container of dry uncooked rice, and then you can also place it in one of the locations mentioned below.
    • On top of all heat dry emitting electronic components: TV or CRT, LCD, TV cable box / Satellite or plasma monitor
    • On the dashboard of your car on a day sunny

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry used in the Caribbean

The "BOLD" are attributable to using 220V by simply using the appropriate plug adapter or a converter do? We use 110v to the United States.

Hello and welcome to the community!

You should check the charger real you use... it is noted in this regard the tensions it can accept. You should also check the configuration of the pins... you may need an adapter. Normally, BBs can accept the 110v and 220v, but depends on the actual charger you will use.

  • How can smartphones blackBerry I restore my phone to factory default?

I'm having a lot of problems with my phone-people cant hear anything when I call them, I can't answer calls, internet is VERY slow even on wifi. How to restore my phone to default factory settings?

    Thank you

    Tom

If back to the factory setting, it is what you intend to do, follow these steps.

From your home screen, go to Options > Security > Security wipe and follow the directions.

As a precaution, always backup your data via Desktop Manager before proceeding.

    Good luck with your decision.

P.S. If you're not pressed huge to wipe it, we could look at each individual item to see if we could resolve.  You're ready to tackle each of them with us here first or you jump in the decision of security wipe?

  • Calendar of Smartphones blackBerry used to synchronize with the new Desktop software

I recently received the latest version of the desktop software. For some reason, my Outlook calendar sync is no longer with my Blackberry. When I go to the title of the Organizer in the Desktop software, MemoPad address book & tasks are checked and work, however, timing is not verified and in parentheses next to it says not installed. No idea why this is or how I set it up to make it work again.

Check first under Options | Advanced options | By default the Services and make sure that the e-mail address which must synchronize with Outlook is set as the CICAL one

  • BlackBerry Smartphones active new SIM - now phone SOS only

Hi all. Have a little problem. I had to go back to an old 9700 When my current iPhone broke. I needed a new card SIM from the iPhone using a different card. When I called Rogers to activate the SIM everything was fine for about a minute. I received texts that were pending since Sunday when my iPhone broke. I had full bars etc. Once a minute, he went to SOS only. While I was on the phone with Rogers Tech Support I have reset and removed the battery and SIM and all the things they wanted me to. Everything looks good on their system, he said that the problem must be with the device.

    A bit on the device:

Originally with Mobilicity in 2009. Opened and used with the wind. My father then used with Rogers and Fido. Since Sunday, when my phone broke, I used SIM card of my brother-in-law (he just swung at Rogers to the wind, but his plan has always been paid until the end of September) and the BB worked very well. If it worked correctly with a Rogers SIM.

Now, I get the same problem with my brother-brother SIM. SOS only. No connection. What happened when active Rogers SIM card must have done something to the camera itself because now it does not connect to any of them. That both SIMs work as I have tested both in my wife's phone.

The guy on the Support of Rogers suggested that perhaps the closed phone itself - but when I enter the settings advanced for the SIM card that everything is disabled in customization... so it appears not to be locked.

He said that I should try to reinstall the OS, but that it will block the phone and I need to unlocked again.

Is there anything else it could be? Will reinstall the OS relock the phone? Any other suggestions?

    Thank you very much!

First this... avoid this tech Rogers like the plague. He has no idea what he's talking about. All what he told you is simply not possible. Once MEP unlocked, a BB device can blocked at the factory. Nothing of what you have done or the facilities of any OS can relock a BB.

I'd rather a complete security on the Device Wipe:

    • KB14058 How to delete all data and applications in the smartphone BlackBerry using the security option wipe

    Otherwise, a ResetToFactory WIPE:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

After each one, put it in the SIM card and switch on the device, and then make sure that the voice is through Rogers. Only then start to worry about getting all the data to work (if you subscribe BIS, in other words).

If you want to get off the OS Reload path, then the easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do this on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below. (not applicable in your situation)

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:
