Smartphones & Windows Installer error blackBerry Desktop Manager

I hope someone can help!  Desktop Manager (DM) was working fine yesterday and I didn't do any changes, updates or updates since then.  Today, DM does not open and when he tries, a Windows Installer message appears that says "the component you are trying to use is on a network unavailable resource.  Click OK to try again or enter a different path to the folder containing the installation package ' ApploaderWebSL-Upgrade [1] .msi in the box below. »

If I hit OK, it still appears once, if I hit Cancel, it appears once again - in short, I can't make go away unless I close DM using end of program-Desktop Manager (who aren't liked, etc.)

Browsing the forums, it is suggested that DM be uninstalled via the control panel - I tried and it tells me I need to install the CD.  The CD supplied with the curve would not work if the program has been downloaded.  I tried to download an upgrade, but am not sure that one to select (and cannot open DM to find what version I have now and if there is a newer version available)

Detailed solutions, step by step would be more useful that I am far from being a techie...

Thank you!

Sherri

None of the solutions posted worked.  I ended up contact service tech Rogers and they remotely connected and were able to get DM works again.  Thanks for your help and suggestions!  They are appreciated!

Yes, I am a new Blackberry user, novice.  I am running XP Professional on my laptop, Blackberry Desktop Manager Version 4.6.0.12 May 2008.  I can't figure out how to prevent it from starting whenever I start my laptop.  I don't use that often, it's rather slow, opening at the top, and it just slows me down.  How can I set it so that it opens only when I say on it to open it?

When the Desktop Manager opens, there's a small demon resident who charge too much upward: it's called "Device Manager." You can find it in the task bar, close to the Windows clock.

Right click on it, it will call the demon. In the window, somewhere on the background, you can uncheck the option "load at startup".

If this does not work, you can open the "add/remove applications" on the control panel of Windows. Here, you can change the Desktop Manager installation do not load at startup.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not download Blackberry Desktop Manager 7.0.0.43

Hey I'm a representative of Telus Mobility and I sent my client to download Blackberry Desktop Manager 7.0.0.43 and all she could find was v6.1. He was released in February, have all our computers working. But when I browse the web all links are on BB site and everything is on the site of BB is v6.1.

And for the trolls out there who will give me a completely useless and stupid answer... I go here:

    http://us.BlackBerry.com/apps-software/desktop/desktop_pc.jsp?lid=us:BBsoftwareesktopSoftwareC & CAL = u...

By clicking the download now button on top or below the son of page me:

What is a download page for:

    Download details
Software name: Desktop Software v6.1.0 B38 (Multilingual)
    Name of the file: 610_b038_multilanguage.exe
    Download size: 117 MB
    Date of publication: 17/02/2012

I need it to be able to wipe the phone and do a clean install of the OS, 6.1 does not allow this 7.0.0.43 made. I have many customers a week to Google live and download the latest version, I'm floored to find BB do not have the latest version available as well.

Just for reference, while performing v6.1 and click Find updates, said v6.1 is up-to-date. Funny, so mine 7.0.0.43 running.

Thanks for your useful and thoughtful answers!

Just thought I would answer my own question that I'm going through my history. Looks like fixed BB download page to be 7.0 finally. Funny as it is difficult to actually contact someone on the EDGE.

    Hello

I have used to have DM 4.7% and the redirector it contains. But after installing the latest Desktop Manager 5.0, I can't find more redirector. Could someone let me know where it is? I need to redirect emails from Outlook/Exchange to my BB Bold 9000 server work.

    Thank you.

    Update:

I finally find why it was missing the redirector. During the installation of BBDM 5.0, I have to select the device was connected to BES or redirector. If I select "personal e-mail configuration", there would no redirector. That's all.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones updated using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager - VERY slow!

    Hello

    Brand-new Blackberry.

Updated the OS on my 8530 using the Desktop Manager software version 5.0.1 pc and the usb to the phone connector. I started at 11:00 this morning. It's now almost 15:00.

It always shows 346 528 modules in the device software download part of the process. At this point, it's a failure... But he said not to disconnect your device... or other.  What now? Very disappointing.

'Now for the future... ". I do NOT recommend the use of desktop upgrade of the Unit Manager, ever. It is simply too buggy and too many things can go wrong happen with which you have no control. »

I tried the update site as you said but made the mistake of direct download instead of dl to pc and then to the phone as you said. Then... Well, I found the best way yet: I'll take it to the Verizon store and ask them to do every time. I'm a pretty grumpy guy, being a programmer and all except... I just haven't the patience or willingness to spend that kind of time with a phone. I mean - it's a phone. Really?

  • Error of Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager during synchronization

During the last week, I can no longer complete synchronization of my Blackberry "BOLD". Never used to have problems and never changed anything with the computer but now I get an error during the synchronization process and it stops.

During the synchronization process, I get the following error "Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working and the program needs to close."

I have re-installed the software Manager Office twice with no effect. I use Desktop Manager 4.7 version.

If anyone has had this problem and have ideas to solve?

Yes, remove the attached file and the synchronization again.

  • Error on blackBerry Smartphones: Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working

I use Desktop Manager 4.7.0.32 with a Blackberry Bold (9000); I sync with Outlook 2007 and I am running Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate w / SP1. Synchronization worked well for many years with previous blackberries, but the synchronization problem appeared after a year or two of use with my previous camera curve.  I replaced the curve with the bold thinking which damaged equipment could be the problem (one too many drops).

However, the problem persists.  While it seems I can synchronize with success a way (from PC to BB), Director of office falls down to halfway through synchronization of calendar entries in a synchronization two-way, unless there has been no new entry calendar on the BB. The error is an error generated windows inidcating: Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working.

I tried every solution I could find on the web, namely:

    • Uninstalling and reinstalling Desktop Manager, making sure that I run the installer as administrator.
    • My Blackberry wiping and reinstalling the operating system (I use 4.6.0.162)
    • Delete the Intellisync folder
    • Run scanpst on my Outlookpst file
    • Clear the entries of calendar on the Blackberry (temporary solution only)

The latter is the only approach that has produced no results.  If I delete the entries on the Blackberry, the

process synchronization adds them correctly, and the next time I run the synchronization, it works without a hitch.  As soon as I did all the entries on the BB unit however, Desktop Manager crashes again, and the only way I can make it work is to clear the entries on the Blackberry and start over.

I'm several months and both handsets of BB has invested in this issue now.  I have a new fancy camera, but am recorded in writing of the appointments on paper when I am out of the office because I know they used to synchronize if I enter them at BB.  Type of defeated half the point of a blackberry...?

Getting desperate here.  Help is appreciated.

    Brad

    Hello Brad!

I had the same annoying problem that you guys have described here.
After trough fishing a lot of post and forums I found a very surprising solution for another type of BB and a different version of the DM on XP and not Vista. Being desperate I tried and miraculously it worked!

Start the DM BB and go - Syncronize - set - synchronisation - synchronization (button) - calendar - Advanced (button) - mapping fields (field mapping button) and I got rid of the synchronization between the flag "alarm" and the "free occupied" and the fields "invited".

I did it and now everything works perfectly.

I have a BB Bold, Vista Ultimate (32 bit), MSOffice 2007 (PRO) and a DMv4.7.

I hope it will work for you also.

    Kind regards
    Steve

  • BlackBerry Desktop Manager exits with error when cradled with BB Bold Smartphones

    Hello

Somehow the BB Desktop Manager does not work for me. I tried several times but as soon as the birthplace of the device with the USB connector, during a second communication icon appears on the screen of the device and then finally he displays an error of windows debugging "Blackberry Desktop Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"and requests for output.
Next time when I started Desktop Manager it shows status as disconnected, (although I can see the status of the phone connection computer on the main screen of the devices sometimes and sometimes just the battery indicates the charge). I restarted the PC, reinstalled the application several times but no use.

The version of Desktop Manager that I use is 4.6.0.12 on Windows XP and I use Blackberry "BOLD". I tried to use 4.7 also.

    Help, please.

    Thank you
    Philippe
P.S.: It worked for me on the first day of my new BB

Well actually I was installing software downloaded from the same site. In any case, the problem is solved now. What I did different this time, it's:

1 reinstall the USB and modem drivers

    2. install Desktop Manager on a different path, that you the default.

And one of the above fixed it. I'm glad it works :-)

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6.1 smartphones does not work with Windows 7

I am my end with the Blackberry Desktop Manager software 6.1 I have now uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times!

Operating system is Windows 7 Pro.  Made own re - installs every time.  The onbly sucessful BB Desktop Manager was Version 5 - which in my view is no longer to download after agreeing to the update to version 6.

Vicious ferret kindly sent some suggestions but they did not work.

BlackBerry Curve 3 G, not very far going into the waste tray...

Therefore, I can't synchronize or update or make full use of my phone.

    Help!

You can see why I'm exasperated. PC is relatively new and built (software wise) from scratch - IE don't have not just download old system files.

Bishop office just will not load. Tried various troubleshooting patches offered on the sites of RIM (pretty useless) advice.

Have now uninstalled all BB and the restarted and downloaded Office Mgr version 5 and myself to try again syning flight.

Even followed the suggestions on Microsoft Outlook 2010 to Outlook Connector.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager: error needs to close

    Hi all

I prowled around and tried to solve this problem, now I ask for assistance at the feet of the masters...

Simply, Blackberry Desktop Manager has worked well because original install last November.  Recently, I get the popup "BlackBerry Desktop Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close."  Digging for information, it says "AppName: AppVer desktopmgr.exe: 5.0.0.11 ModName: mshtml.dll ModVer: 8.0.6001.18812 Offset: 00209d2c.

BB Storm (VZW) and Windows XP desktop PC.

Clarification - the Office Manager will remain until the BB is connected.  The PIN number is displayed when connecting via USB.  In 5-10 seconds the error box appears and the program stops.  If the BB is connected before launching the Desktop Manager program starts, poster PIN code, then the error pops up after 5 to 10 seconds.  Tried USB ports on the front and the back of the PC.

I followed the instructions elsewhere in the forum to uninstall the Desktop Manager and the settings from the PC, then a new download and reinstall.  No joy.

I use outlook 2003 (pop3 mail) and BIS.  Yet once, it worked fine until recently.

I installed on another PC Desktop Manager (identical hardware) and it works very well and allows me to save the BB, no error message.  However that the PC is not my main (with Outlook) machine that I need to synchronize.

So - what to do now?

    Thank you very much

    Hey there sdgardne:

Thanks a lot for the suggestions.  I followed your instructions (many markets) described in your message 1256 19/10/2009.  Unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem.

So I started looking in the updates for Outlook 2003, and in the process, I installed Windows XP updates and has encountered a problem in Internet Explorer (I'm normally on Firefox).  Liquidation of reinstall IE8.  That clears up the conflict BB/DM - no error "needs to close" more and I can sync the BB to Outlook very well now.  Never had the updates for Outlook, which will save for another day.  Only so many times one day Microsoft...

    Be well.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac KB19454 error message

    Hi all

I am new to the community and would appreciate any help. I have two recent problems for which I'm looking for troubleshooting tips. The priority problem is first mentioned below.

I just met this error message, "For help to resolve this problem, refer to KB19454 in the Knowledge Base of BlackBerry Desktop Manager" when trying to sync my Curve 8320. I use a Mac and I've not met difficulties of synchronization for downloading the new version of Desktop Manager for Mac in December/January. I was not able to download the last updated however. I saw a post initially by a user who has the same problem, but I didn't know the question, and so I am hopeful of possible suggestions for resolution.

The other problem I have experienced recently, it's that I can't compose an SMS/MMS message. I can only answer to someone's message. When I try to send just one, by default back to the list of messages.

Please Note: I don't have wireless on my phone. I use Blackberry Desktop Manager Version 1.0.1

Also note that I am not able to access e-mail messages per day, but will try to return answers / inquires as quickly as possible.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

For your first question, I can't tell if you still worked through the reference KB... If not, you can find it here.

For your second question, I'm not sure... but maybe it will help you:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!
