Smartphones with Blackberry Bold 9700 blackBerry memory cards

Anyone know when the memory cards will be available for the Blackbery Bold 9700?  Also, it is clear that Bold 9700 phones purchased now in the United States through AT & T accepts memory cards when they are issued, or is there a reason why they can be incompatible?

Hi again,

Each company determines the level of the BONE they will be based on a particular model of BB that they resell. There is therefore no way of knowing what they ship their newly sold models with... you might can get to answer this question. But, given that it is a very recent model, I expect to have the latest OS levels, which supports up to 32 GB cards.

Regarding RIM branded media cards, I've never heard of such a thing. For example, my BB came with a SanDisk card brand media. SD cards are generic enough... There is not (to my knowledge) that are made to work only with one instrument or another. They are designed as generic storage devices that work inside of any device that takes care of their abilities.

Finally, there is nothing you can take these forums concerning everything that is future-oriented. If anyone here knows, they are specifically excluded from reveal whatever it is facing the future with authority. Therefore, what I said is my opinion on what will be the future - but it is not guaranteed in any way, shape, or form.

Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones is this a problem with my Bold 9700 flash memory?

A few annoying problems recently with my Bold 9700.

First, my Blackberry has suddenly started to massively delete recent appointments in my calendar, which will attempt to remove them from my Outlook calendar when I synchronize the device to my laptop.  This has not happened before, and I checked to make sure that the schedule is set to never delete nominations, and it is set correctly.

Second, my Blackberry App World application (both on the device and online) does not display one of my installed applications, except one, but they are all still on the device and working properly.  I'm 18 apps installed from BB App World, beyond the pre-installed applications on the device, which are less than 10 MB in total size.

The reason I think that the problem could be linked to the internal flash memory is that whenever I want to install an application, I usually get a message indicating there is enough memory and I have to uninstall some other applications to free up space.  When I checked my memory earlier, he said that had less than 1 MB.  I restarted the machine and now it tells me there is 12.2 MB of available space, which always seems incredibly low for me since I installed only about 10 MB of my own applications.  So, I delete the file all attachments of the device and do not keep e-mail on the device beyond 30 days, and all media is stored on flash cards, not in the device memory.

The most important question I have to solve is how to prevent the device to delete data from calendar (it keeps recurring appointments, but has been deleted and everything before about two weeks ago).

    Hello

It's an automatic protection mechanism with BBs. During the AppMemory (not the device, no media memory card memory) get low, the BB must start deleting things to preserve its ability to operate. Unfortunately, he really can't go after data... it can't really go after installed applications. Here are some tips to use:

    • KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
      • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB10183 E-mail messages are removed from the BlackBerry device until the messages expire

In addition, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

Now, AppMemory is not just for the apps... the real BB operating system is here as well. Depending on the options you have included, which might be things bloating as well.

    Good luck!

  • Smartphones with new Bold 9700 blackBerry Email issue

    Hello world

I just got a new BB Bold 9700 from my boss and I know now my life is over, how ever live without one. Totally awesome.

But I have a problem that I hope someone may be able to help with.

On my PC in a network, I put in place of the rules in MS Outlook so that the emails that I get different departments automatically in folders that I'v created in my Inbox.  I think it's only incoming emails that do not have a rule for the sender or are simply non-stressed, are received on the BlackBerry.

    Any ideas or solutions?

    Hi BillJ

Thanks for the tips, not quite there, but you put me on the right track and with a bit of luck, I am now running sweet. Kudos to you mate, I appreciate the help. To someone else how can find ourselves in a similar position, try this:

On the home page you select Message - Menu - Options - e-mail settings - send Email for handheld - Menu - folder Redirection

(at this point, the display will show your compressed folder tree, expand the folder tree to view all the folders in your Inbox, select each specific folder for which you have a redirect in place or any rule simply 'select all')

Now select Menu - Change Option (if you select each folder one at a time the change Option - Menu - repeat for each file)

    Complete with Menu - RECORD

    And your sweet.

  • Help BlackBerry Smartphones with my Bold 9700, please read.

    Hey guys,.

IM new to BB and just fixed my aunts blackberry 9700 and I was told I can keep it. I really feel like OS6 but Desktop Manager will not update me. I followed the steps of youtube and nothing works.

I've been in the update tab and found the update, but there is a star next to him, and when I click it, it says that it is only for users of blackberry services or something in that sense. I really want the official OS 6 and can't live without it. If you know how I can do this easily if you please comment, thank you very much.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Since a certain time (starting at 5.x OS if I remember), updates demanded that you subscribe to a package of adequate data from your provider. Without that, he is denied access to updates. Think of the updates as another service... without subscribe (and pay), you are not getting services.

    Good luck!

  • Problems with WIFI with the Bold 9700 blackBerry Smartphones

My daughter recently bought a Bold 9700 and has problems with the help of the feature wi - fi.

It seems to connect OK to our wireless router, but the performance is pathetic & often give up entirely. It's so bad, she renounced the use of a wi - fi connection and must now connect via 3G. Obviously it's costs downlaods, plan and money, then I'll try to trouble shoot why wi - fi works so bad.

I ran the diagostics wi - fi and connection details are below. However I do not know how to interpret it and what other things to check. The report of wi - fi and other details on the phone & rtouter that we use is below. BTW all of our other wireless devices work correctly through the router.

    I hope someone can help.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Hello I have a little problem with my Bold 9700

    Hi all

My name is Dina and I just bought my first Blackberry bold 9700. I would ask you that if you know where I can find the activation key/application company, I need so I can set up my business and start using my smartphone to download professional email. I can't find it in the options, or the advanced options such as the wise technical support Web page. It should be noted that this option is available on the old model of "BOLD" but not the new 9700.

Grateful if you can help me. Best regards, Dina.

Possible if your operator you implemented a BIS plan he was abducted.

  • Problem with my Bold 9700 blackBerry Smartphones

Friday my Bold 9700 I had for about 3 months now started rebooting on its own. Roughly 50% of progression in the activity bar, it could happen again. After over an hour of this, I tried to sync to Desktop Manager. I received a message that my operating system has been corrupted and followed the instructions given on the Desktop Manager to reload the software. After that was finished, my BB works normally with the following exceptions:

    1. I don't have have a separate icon to test SMS messages and cannot find a way to create it.

    2. I don't have have an icon for BB Messenger and can't find it in any folder.

3 the Brick Breaker game icon disappeared. (not that this is a serious problem, but I liked to kill time with this game.)

If anyone can give me any advice on these issues, I would appreciate it.

    Tom

    2. use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download/install again the Messenger application.

After installation and reboot if necessary, check your instant messaging, or downloads of the application folder.

    3. go in c:\program files\common search in motion\apploader\ and double-click on "Loader.exe."

Navigate applications listed and CHECK the Brickbreaker module to load. Following the other guests to complete.

  • BlackBerry smartphones what type and size of memory card the "BOLD" support?

I would like to replace the 1 GB memory card that comes with my "BOLD" with a larger size. What type of card, should I try to get, and what is the maximum size supported? I have been informed of stories contradictory on what I should look for any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    You are welcome!

Here is a link to the Wiki entry that gives a good discussion on SD cards...

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital_card

So, this coupled with the information of KB of RIM, would say that BB must be compatible with SDHC cards... because they are (according to the level of the OS) compatible with SD cards 4 GB in size (for vs SD SDHC cutoff point.

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not synchronize Outlook with the Bold 9700

I followed several similar questions on this BB, but none of the solutions have worked.

Synch does not resemble the process of calendar, but treats address book, task and memo.

    BB Bold 9700

    Desktop Manager v5.01

Newspaper shows that Sync memo details

Tried the procedure for recording of progress without change to open a session.

Tried to reinstall DM including "Clean uninstall" procedure removal of some entries in registry/directories

Tried to delete all the entries in Cical service book, although I did before I read the BB, so I have removed more than just the Scriptures?

I tried 'Move' procedure for consolidating the calendar

Tried to delete and send service book?  Although not sure on don't send procedure no BES or internet account of BB, I do not understand this process.

Currently, my default calendar is empty.  previously, he was had duplicates of the calendar entries to about 1/2, but after trying some of the troubleshooting, calendar is now empty and does not synchronize.

Don't know when it started, but probably it's a common problem with FaceBook Cical entered. I also had the double entries of many appointments.  The independent troubleshooting, I tried 1 medium synch that mostly eliminated my outlook calendar. After trying to restore outlook, synch realized was not working for the calendar.  Maybe broken several days earlier, don't know.

    Thanks for your help.

Wait you have set up an e-mail account on the device once you have removed all? The Desktop Manager synchronizes with the default calendar is listed under Options | Advanced options | Default services.

If no accounts are on the device to create an and make sure that it is set as the default, then try to reset the sync again and see what happens

  • BlackBerry Smartphones WhatsApp messenger message history and memory card problem

    Hello BlackBerry

I just moved a user of symbian from nokia to user BB

I bought a new curve BB 9360 and installed a micro sd 32 GB inside card and worked well but I had a lot of problems with the unit it self and I had to replace it with another and I did today. (the same thing and I took my 32 GB card and replaced in my again just to save time of re photos and files to the new address.)

I have installed whatsapp on the first via app world

He did and has worked very well and worked the message history

But today, when I installed whatsapp on my second one (appliance) successfully

I opened the settings and found that the message history is set to media card

but there is an error indicating that a file is not found or missing

and when I cat no message history is saved as he says at every summit a message message history chat is disabled

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can an extension of my memory card have an effect on my virtual memory?

My memory space continues to shrink and makes my BB Curve 9300 very slow. I have to turn off the power and remove the battery several times a day.

I have a memory card of 2 G, with 85% of used space, and I think to replace it with a 8G a.

No impact on my virtual memory?

In addition, frequent battery pull puts my smartphone at any risk?

    Thank you.

If you have on your support 50 photos card, when you start your device, the system software of the unit "scans" the media card and creates "thumbnails" of your photos and creates a cache in the memory of these images so that when you access your Media folder > Pictures, is speeding up the access.

So if you have 500 photos on your press card, this cache would be bigger, of course.

And, if you added a 16 GB Media Card on your device and had 5 000 pictures... do the math.

BUT, again, you have a Curve 9300, a new feature very nice device good memory and you should not even have to worry about all this.

  • Music of blackBerry Smartphones does not go on the memory card

I don' t seem to be able to download music on the memory card from my storm 9530 from Verizon. I am running firmware 5.0.  The card is a sandisk 4 GB.  It seem to go to the internal memory.  I removed the card and the music was always there.  I pull batt and restarted without the map and the music is still there.  Unit recognizes that it is installed. The parameters are:

support media card = on DPW = on the mass storage mode support = enable auto when connected = we

free memory space App = media card of 21.3 MB = total space = 3.6 GB of free space = 3.6 GB I could by default my camera photo and video to save on media card.  Is there a setting for music?

Siu, it is normal to have two discs. One is the memory of the device, the other is the media card. I differentiate them because I know that my media card has 8 GB and not the memory of the device. Other than that, the folder structure can tell you:

    • the devive memory contains a folder named/home/user/and then subfolders.
    • the support card contains a folder named /BlackBerry/ , and subfolders.
  • BlackBerry Smartphones how do I out my memory card without damaging it?

    Hi all

I just upgraded the 9700 for the Pearl 8110.  I want to remove the memory card that was inserted in the 9700 and exchange it with a card I have in my Pearl.  However, without sounding awkward disqualified, I can't get the map from the 9700.

I followed the instructions and pushed the card before it comes with.  But it is still resolutely stuck!

    Any ideas?

You must give a little boost to get him out the first time. Had the same issue and it goes in and out right now

  • BlackBerry Smartphones look at pdf files on memory card

    Hello

I need to be able to save a PDF to the memory card and then see it, it will be on devices that are lower than version 7. Now if I understand correctly, it is possible to do on the bb with version 7 or greater through go doc premium edition.

Of course, I could goto appworld and download to the device, but it will not work in the corporate environment (credit cards etc.) and there are about 50 aircraft.

Does anyone know of a company that I could buy a license of so I can push BES or any other ideas how I can better do that?

    Thank you

    Mike
